  1. Pearson is a good signing IMO,certainly think he will up his average in this standard of League.

  2. But does it matter in a development league who's top and who's bottom if the riders in it develop. I for one could give a monkeys

  3. You might be putting 2 and 2 together, but you've definitely got 4.

  7. But surely they know their standard? Their expectations must be pretty low to begin with... It will be more hope than expectation for many NDL lads given many are either starting out or have been around for years at the same "bottum rung" level... Based on how many develop to a higher level, it will be a minority who will be seeing the NDL as an aspirational opportunity to progress, Either way, whatever your expectations and ambition, the NDL gives riders a chance to ride a bike for a living sometime in the future if they are good enough to do so in the next few years.. Many followers dont take the top two divisions too seriously given the UK operating model, so the winners of the NDL won't resonate with too many... "Winning"would be getting more riders into Div 2 as a start..

  8. Good because Sheffthorpe won't win it either A lot can be learnt by getting beat, but getting hammered home and away is going to do little for some riders reputations and poor management selections can actually prematurely finish careers.

  9. Cami Brown's mate, relates to riding for Glasgow in 2019. Back then he was a 6 point rider, averaged 9 at home. But steady decline since then, lots of injuries.

  10. He just doesn't feel like a Glasgow signing. I hope so, he's a nice guy. But he's only gone one way over the last 4/5 seasons.

  13. Nuneaton Speedway Supporters Club has been going since 1969 and raises much needed funds to support and encourage young British speedway riders. Much of this help is unseen by the average fan. However, it makes a valuable contribution to the future of our sport. I can highly recommend these meetings. They are run in a friendly atmosphere where guests are interviewed and answer questions from the floor. It often provides a fascinating insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of the sport. So come if you can. On what other occasion could you listen to Phil Morris talk about his roles and thoughts about the future in a relaxed atmosphere? And the beer's cheap. What's not to like?

  15. As many as can squeeze in was told that Ben fund organisers book riders for the meeting, but suspect Dan bewley and Ben Barker will be riding, and with the Peter craven meeting on the Monday some big names could be wanting a blast round the Northside arena

  16. See told ya!! Even with 2 of you trying to gaslight me. Did he even put points on his average? Isn't it similar? Fans put too much pressure on him like they did with BK back in the day.
