1. Redcar 2. Glasgow 3. Berwick 4. Oxford 5. Poole 6. Scunthorpe 7. Workington 8. Edinburgh 9. Plymouth I've seen some say they like the look of Berwick... And for the first time in many seasons, so do I and many other Berwick fans! We've got a TM who won't put up with underperforming riders and a promotion who've put their trust in him! We've got a mixture of youth and experience... Just a whole improved feeling which we've lacked for a while! Kk menu Poole have a good top 4 but considerably weaker bottom end this year! Scunthorpe will miss Douglas this year IMO! How do you replace someone that good though? Oxford have one of the best top two in the league but again a weaker bottom end may find them out! Pressure on Nicholls and Masters to consistently be hitting double figures!3 points

Who said that? That's absolute nonsense Lisa, was pointed out he had a decent meeting. But it's a bad day when beating a prem number 1 and getting slated for it. Based on his experience 4 points is about his level, especially as had to work for his when bowes and west were gifted most of theirs by retirements!3 points

This is the downside of having Workington back. They live in the past.2 points

If I were a Bandits fan, I would be excited about that team. Change in approach from their usual team building. If all the riders get dialled in at home should be looking to make play offs.2 points

It may blow your mind to learn this but this is a forum. I know you come on just to deep throat everything Berwick Bandits but I do not. I follow speedway everywhere and will give my opinion on it as and when I feel like it.2 points

There's perhaps a wee lesson here, perhaps you might think twice in the future. Do you think you're capable of doing that?2 points

Is the league weaker because they dropped the points limit or did they drop the points limit because there isn't enough quality for it to remain at 40 (or above)? How many top riders are missing out due to the points limit being lowered (not including riders who chose to miss out)? For example the only missing riders with 4+ averages are: Claus Vissing (possibly at Workington) Erik Riss (does he want to ride Champ?) Anders Rowe Hans Andersen Dan Gilkes Jack Thomas (still injured?) James Wright (still injured?) Ben Morley Max Clegg So a higher points limit would just lead to a large difference between the top & bottom and possibly 2.00 Brits being dropped for new 4.00 riders! With the riders available, I'd suggest they've not gone far wrong with a 38 limit.2 points

Irrespective of how the season turns out,it’s refreshing to see a Bandits Team with riders who are young and might improve as opposed to journeyman riders.Good Luck to them1 point

Nope, but then again everyone thought he was going to be a HL after one good meeting in Aussie so maybe they learnt their lesson too? Can't just have it one way.1 point

Don't think they will be the top two reserves come the end of the year… also cant see where the race wins come from in that team… look comfortably the poorest team put together apart from maybe Workington1 point
-
If they announce Schlein then I think there will be riots… or the equivalent to that of what small fan base there might be! Birmingham would be a laughing stock after reeling off names like Laguta, Zmarzlik, Lindgren, Lindback and then ending up with Schlein….1 point

Still saying Schlein plus another. Brum would've been complete by now if they managed to get 2 quality riders in. They've signed 5 riders on a budget and are hoping to get two HL's in however the names being linked with Brum now are of much lesser quality than they were at the start.1 point
-
I think this is a real concern for Birmingham and it’s very clear the team has been together with signings confirmed and announced before a full line up is complete - meaning it’s very likely they will come in well under the points limit. The final signings simply need to be Artem Laguta and Piotr Pawlicki if they are to stand any chance of being competitive and winning home matches. Laguta will be just fine at home after a match or two and there is every chance Pawlicki could bring his usual Swedish form with him. Anybody else and they are likely to be getting beat all over the place and the already dwindling crowds will already be dropping off by the time we head into May.1 point

The thing is, you can double up riders to keep them earning, but there’s not enough cash to double up promoters.1 point

It's very exciting at worky looking forward to what the next level of racing is like, but BEN fund first . Hope you enjoy your visit1 point

Is he been squeezed out though . Are you 100% sure he didn't have offers that he declined1 point
-
I don't think gilkes is being squeezed out I believe he's had offers as has anders Rowe but they've decided that they don't need championship speedway atm.1 point

Berwick look better placed to challenge for a play-off spot than in recent years. Have strengthened their top end, while having a decent rider at reserve, especially against teams with 2 x 2.00 riders. Big key for me is Etheridge to find his best home form, big home wins = bonus points / aggregate wins.1 point
-
Someone should do a South to North one to keep the Plymouth fans happy!1 point
-
No, home wins are a win-win. Hardcore fans are happy and casual spectators (who don't really care too much about the end result of a match) will be attracted by the good publicity generated by a run of home wins.1 point

Bit underwhelming. Hopefully track will be better next season. Just need to get behind the team1 point

Would have taken a lot of those riders at Armadale. Best wishes to the Bandits in 2024.1 point

Disappointed with how things have panned out with the team but it’s the hand we’ve been dealt so is what it is. Just need a few to step up to the plate this season.1 point

Uninspiring way to finish the team when we had over 5 points to use. Will support the boys but can’t see this team competing.1 point

6 really good signings for the first time in years. Shame Etheridge is back again but hopefully if he does what hes done the rest of his time at Berwick then Dickson will boot him out.1 point

Might have been better if NT had run Championship Speedway at Bradford than Premiership at Perry Barr.0 points
