  1. Skidmark bitter as hell that they missed out on the Aussie . Pathetic but does anyone expect anything less?

  2. Yes, 100% It's an absolute scandal really. You have to question who the GB Speedway team is run for? The riders? The Sponsors? Certainly not the fans! Whenever GB have ridden in the UK they have attracted a decent crowd. It's all well and good subbing out the national team to a private company but we hardly ever get to see them in the UK, riders are generally representing GB most weekends throughout the year and all the fan gets to see is a Twitter post, usually giving more exposure to the sponsor than the actual results and scorers. They seem to be more interested in running lottery's than putting on Speedway matches. When Team GB was first subbed out, I thought what a great idea, yes it has brought results at the top tier of the sport, but the younger riders results are pretty woeful. These 2nd and 3rd tier GB riders really need to be riding with their tier 1 colleagues in test matches to help bring them on internationally. It's doing no good them riding separately imo That's the big question in UK, who is Speedway run for? And until the promoters answer "the fans" Speedway in the UK will probably continue to decline

  3. The clear and obvious answer, given the way UK Speedway is ran, is that it is for people who want to finance an expensive hobby... Hence the rules get consistently "made up" to ensure this hobby can take place regularly... No "independent body" would ever sanction a large amount of the regs and rules that get signed off by those who "self police"... Test Matches would have a huge novelty factor nowadays given the fact they don't take place almost ever in the UK.. And with many top class Aussies over here, an Ashes series would stimulate interest in the sport I am 100% sure... The only watch out would be that the promoters would allow Bomber to guest for the Aussies if GB didn't pick him... Only in the first test though obviously... He could ride for GB in the others... Alongside Emil...

  7. Must say this Thomsen bloke if going by some on here has no hope of getting off the start line he's been completely written off by a few on here, personally I've never heard of him maybe his dad Finn ? but if he does do well a few red faces on here or I told you so would be appropriate

  8. Yeah he keeps harping o.n about darcy ward setting the deal up,ex Poole legend advises his protege not to join Poole, speaks volumes really.

  9. That's a fair argument. If Redcar get a big improvement from those 2, expect them to be in the play-offs

  16. I am yes. I also go on a football forum for Bristol City that uses the same platform as this and it's just the same there for a lot of users.

  17. I expect like the majority of new riders he will take to a few tracks quickly but struggle at others, as you say Worky should suit hom down to the ground, probably Scunny and Glasgow too

  18. Maybe Russian , North Korean or Chinese interference then to destabilise us, on a website with such worldwide influence....

  22. Doesn't matter what he did 5 years ago though. Only matters what he does next year, to me anyway.

  23. Foreverblue has a strange take on the word weak, and seems to be trying to convince himself that Poole are a good team and Scunny aren't.

  24. I’m pretty sure if Tobias Thomson had beaten some of these riders on his home track we would be hearing how he’s one of the best signings of the season. Great work by Workington to get Tate.

  27. Not many 18 year old would beat these guys wether it was in his back yard or not. This boys got skill. Workington have done well to get him

  28. While Mountain didn't score so many points in the top 5 compared to riding at number 7, I'd hardly call a 5.4 rider weak! Especially if you consider Thomsen didn't reach 4.0 for Birmingham when he last rode over here.

  29. Sorry not on the right thread really, but does anyone know why they're not working and can someone put it right ? Been a pain for weeks, months even.

  30. You never know Richard Lawson may return home to Cumbria. Leave Poole, make peace fully with his dad, become best mates with Craig Cook, have Kyle Bickley as his mechanic, and be happy to be second heat leader and bonus point king. Then still around 5 points to play with. Meanwhile on January 1st the New Year will bring reality back to life Happy New Year and sarcasm aside it's GREAT to see Workington back and I can't wait to get up there for a week in the Lakes and a trip to Northside

  31. I can’t wait for this, my first trip up there. I’m sure there will be an exciting line up with a lot of riders wanting to ride this track. Be a good day for sure.
