They don’t give out prizes based on who uses the most of the team building limit at the start of the season. Wilson-Dean is pony. Anyone who signs him on that average would just be writing off their season before a wheel is turned.3 points

I think I've worked it out. Bomber knows the guest appearances are going to dry up, so he's making sure he can get a tac sub ride every meeting to compensate.2 points

Starke has ridden for Newcastle, Oxford, Plymouth and Birmingham in the recent past and has not shown the form to show he may improve2 points

I'm generally more of a fan of youngsters with potential than guys on way down on "false averages" tbh. Starkey was a 6 pointer not so long ago and between Newcastle, Plymouth and Birmingham hes been at clubs that haven't had their issues to seek. In this watered down league and on decent machinery should really be putting a point on his average. I'd probably have preferred hook, borke or Joe T for the reason above but he never let us down in his first spell will give him full support2 points

He probably would have if Garry May hadn't 'tapped him up' in the Poole pits to go with his brother??! Eh, Lewy?2 points

It was also said ace signed for comets on less money that he had been offered from other teams Sometimes riders can earn more buy taking a lower offer as the can score higher at a certain track or gain more local sponsorship and of coarse travel is a big issue its not all about signing fee or x per point2 points

Why would he not stay with the club who put a lot of faith in him last season? Lazy to just trot out the money line.2 points

BWD would be a laughable signing!! Surely Plymouth wont be that stupid!! If they sign him they will be last by a long way1 point

We never saw the best of Starkey when he rode for us previously. Whenever he got some momentum going he was injured again though frustratingly none of the crashes were his fault. He never seems to have gotten over that shocker of a crash in the British Final, also not his fault. On a 4 he should be fine though even he will know GLA won't tolerate poor prep or equipment. He will hold his own at that level though perhaps we need more realistic expectations that he may not be as good as before.1 point

Only if they don’t want to have a chance of winning anything. The side so far doesn’t look as bad as it’s being made out to be. There’s certainly hope/scope for improvement from all of the bottom four. Having the right number one is important though. Buying Ben Morley for the price of Scott Nicholls isn’t the answer and that’s what’s being rumoured.1 point

If you're going to post rubbish at least have the courage to stand by it instead of making out it was all a wind up,think Poole are the main culprits for poaching riders anyway.1 point

Doesn't feel like a Glasgow side you would associate with the current owners tbh. Suppose the lower points limit has caused chaos and Glasgow would rather go with tried and tested former Tigers riders rather than taking a punt on 2.00 pointers at reserve.1 point

I hope they get a big name or two. It's painful when fans have to watch their club get battered every week (I know from recent experience lol)1 point

I agree, they were always behind everyone else in terms team building. I'm sure most riders are snapped up towards the end of the season and Birmingham couldn't do any of that tapping up. They are just left with the rest that are avaliable. Although I'm pretty sure Tolley would have pretty much contacted every grand prix rider.1 point

Yeah kinda my feelings too. Might still make play offs with bomber hopefully helping out the youngsters1 point

He's a far better rider than his current average, but the question is can he get back to where he was. Better kit will certainly help.1 point

I don't think they wanted to be in the Prem tbh, Not sure they've got the money for big names because so far it's screaming British based budget side compared to everyone else.1 point

He definitely isn't worth a punt, waste of any points available signing him.1 point

Really,if there is nobody better just who would you replace him with.No way is he still an 8 pt man .IMO1 point

You still telling lies, I will show you up again if you're not careful, slanderous accusations to be throwing around on a public forum!1 point

7 teams from 9 effectively given a bye into the next round yet the holders aren't one of them. Ridiculous.1 point

I get why people want to keep the Ben and Zach partnership going. But there are going to be 4 riders who never rode for Poole before next season. So I think for at least first month of the season, Ben should be at 5 whilst others settle in. Not my decision though!1 point

3 NDL meetings at Edinburgh at the end of the 2021 season, is 3 NDL meetings at Edinburgh at the end of a season. Not enough to gain an average. A full season at Belle Vue is a full season at Belle Vue. As I said, the only full season he's had. A season where he went from 3.00 to 5.29 which is pretty decent. He crashed out in his first meeting of 2023, and made 1 guest appearance in the last match of the year.... So still only completed 1 full NDL season. It's not difficult to understand. I didn't say he'd become heat leader standard. In his only full season he increased his average by 2.29 which is very decent.1 point

A factor to take into account with Nathan was he was Eastbourne trained from a kid, he had that home advantage taken away from him and was brave to take the Poole gig on. Looked far better towards the end of last season, Ian Jordan cost him a year of his progress as IMO he would have done better confidence wise with Arlington as his home base. I rate the lad, good luck to him..1 point
