  1. Hi Ian, Your comparisons are not taking the number of streams included in those packages into account. To make an accurate comparison you would need to compare on a price per stream basis, which shows the true change in price each season. It’s also very important to highlight that BSN was not VAT registered in 2022 when packages were first offered to the public, so we are actually taking less per stream in 2024 than we were back in 2022, as we’ve essentially absorbed some of the VAT we now charge (a legal obligation) so that we can continue to offer the best value we can to our subscribers. We are streaming more year on year for the simple reason that it’s the one request we receive most from our subscribers - people have asked for more, so we are offering more. For anybody reading, I’ve listed a comparison taking the above into account. The total prices listed below are the lowest prices a subscriber could buy the packages for: 2022: £152 | 41 streams = £3.71 per stream (£3.71 + No VAT) 2023: £208 | 54 streams = £3.85 per stream (£3.21 + VAT) 2024: £250 | 58 streams = £4.31 per stream (£3.59 + VAT) Although the price per stream has increased to our customers, it has actually decreased to us as we are taking £3.59 for each stream after VAT in 2024, as opposed to £3.71 in 2022. Our costs have risen significantly too over that time period. Hopefully that adds some context as to why we have had to increase prices. It is always our aim to offer the best value we can and we believe that £3.59 + VAT per stream does that. Unfortunately, lowering prices further would simply make the business model unviable. 2. I think BSN is the best thing to happen to British Speedway in recent seasons - in fact, as I have also said about 'Speedway Star' in the past, it is probably better than British Speedway deserves - especially the way the sport is now!! And, of course, as Ben alluded to earlier, they have invested heavily in equipment over the past two years - and we can see the benefits clearly as the quality of the whole BSN show is much improved from their first few meetings when they first started out. It is now better than Eurosport in my opinion - I know that is probably not a high bar to set, but when you think about the number of people behind the scenes at BSN compared to Eurosport they trump Eurosport comfortably. As someone else pointed out, at around £4 per meeting it sure beats spending hours and hours on the road travelling to meetings. I know some people have commented on the price rises but that is a fair point that Ben has made about VAT now coming into play. I guess if anything the first season BSN was probably too cheap, which maybe gave people a false perspective, but I can understand why they made it quite cheap; as obviously as 'a new venture' they needed to attract customers and so build up a fan base as it were. If everything in life was as good a value as BSN the world would be a far better place! I will definitely be buying a BSN season pass again - happy days!

  4. Actually, that's not correct. It's got nothing to do with whether riders are being paid or not. The SCB are using motor racing case law (Goodwood case) to say that no other motor bike activity should take place on an SCB licenced track outside of SCB events. Therefore, in it's view, no NORA licenced events (or any other non SCB event), training or otherwise, should be taking place on SCB licenced tracks. However, SCB only chose to enforce that to stop the NORA league meeting taking place at Iwade.

  5. In Speedway audience terms... you're just a young babby!

  6. We do seem to measure the young Brits far too critically... They don't need to all be a "Robert Lambert", just being a "Simon Lambert" will be more than enough to help the sport going forward in the UK... Starke, Complin, S Lambert, Barker, (and probably many more), all fill team places over here each season, and all have been quite a way from the "top level", yet all ensure teams come to the tapes each season.. It's the same with the "rising stars" and, "professional juniors", who, now after three to four seasons of riding, are now very close to their level that they will continue to ride at, naturally replacing the older Championship Second String level riders mentioned above.. Just let the lads ride and see where they get to.. The sport needs UK riders taking up plenty of the team places so let's just hope they reach that standard first...

  15. Stuart’s testimonial should have been the first match at Redcar last season and when it got cancelled it should have been the next meeting

  17. Are those group of teenagers that are getting a free night out really there for the speedway ? or are they there to go someone to be with their mates away from parents? They will happily pay the quid (as would the parents if truth be known) Bigger issue is 16 and under is free. but then once the child gets to over 16 its £21 . thats why you rarely see many "students" at speedway. comparing season tickets Speedway is now more expensive than football in Ipswich... let that sink in

  18. Couldn’t disagree more and surprised this has got a “like”. They should be charged more or at least change the age ranges for free entry. Toddlers and kids under 10 who attend with their parents fair enough, but I’ve seen groups of mid teens walk in at both Ipswich and Lynn and not have to pay a single penny. That can’t be right surely? Name another event whether that be football even lower league, cinema, or any other event you can think of, where 14 and 15 year old teenagers get in Scott free? An amateur bangers meeting will cost a child between 5 and 14 a tenna! And people think charging a quid at Speedway is out of order? Unbelievable.

  21. 100% wrong move to charge Kids, especially if its just to gain £1 a head BSPL should have made it mandatory that all clubs done kids 16 and Under FREE for the good of the sport

  22. I, too, jumped straight in on release day and got the £250 option, looking forward to 2024 already. That works out to about £4 and a few pence. Heck of a lot cheaper for a Cradley fan to pay than drive/pay for 58 matches on the road. Money well spent in my book after spending years driving around the UK to live matches!

  29. Two heat leader maximum I would have thought to be competitive and fit in with the 38 point limit unless going for a youthful weaker bottom end. Cook and Howarth, Vissing, Castagna, Hook, Sam, Jorgensen.

  32. As I've said many times, I think what you offer represents great value for money and I will be signing up for a season pass once again. My post was not in anyway a criticism, more of an observation and I completely take on board what you are saying above as a business operator. I, on the other hand, am looking at it from the other side of the coin, a customer. We can swap statistics until the cows come home, you, quite rightly present the ppm number with percentage increases of 3.77% & 11.95%. But the price the punter pays out of their pocket has risen 37.5% & 19.6%... and I, personally, am happy to pay that. Like I say, just an observation... keep up the good work

  33. Always amazes me how people claim to know how much certain teams spend and riders that are asking too much to sign on.

  34. I've said it before but I think if either Thompson is to progress they needed to move away from Leicester, and it did Dan a lot of good last year, especially with the lack of pressure. Also given the chance to learn at the exhaust of Sayfudtdinov who would turn it down?

  35. The brief was for a contemporary, modern, fresh logo with a good balance between the text and image. Its looking forward to the future, rather than backwards to the past. The key was it had to appeal to a younger audiance.

  36. Whist you could be right I'd have thought Bailey shouldn't be written off just yet after the year he's just had. I think he could score a lot of points at the NSS in 2024.

  38. Championship Package at £159 for 40 meetings -£4 a meeting that’s a bargain IMO.Irrespective of price rise.

  39. Unless it's top riders in the individual meetings (like the Championship Riders Championship etc), fans don't seem interested (and haven't for a while now), so how that would work would be a worry. For instance I felt really sorry for Stuart Robson, as his Farewell Meeting was poorly attended and, for a servant to British Speedway, I thought he deserved better than that.

  40. They are motivated by more than just the Tigers winning trophies, although they got great satisfaction from that too. They want to bring homegrown talent to the sport, invest in young people, and they want to bring the biggest FIM events they can to Ashfield, because they want to give their best. I don't think they're interested in doing anything by halves. The biggest worry would be that we end up with no-one to race against. Hopefully the league will strengthen over the next few years, attract more sponsorship, and we can get to a place of more racing rather than less. One question that was asked to Lee Complin and SImon Lambert at the GTSG event last Friday was how riders would feel if British speedway moved towards individual events and away from team-based competition. I hope it doesn't come to that because if that happens, I think it's all over. I hope the question wasn't asked because people think that's the realistic direction of travel.

  41. not sure how much truth in it heard craig wanting too much to ride at workington craig is still a good rider but very unpredictable had the ability to go a lot further than he has done if a team signs him its a gamble not sure if its possible but if it is needs to be something in contract that money is held back if he goes awol

  43. Edinburgh didn't have a choice - to use a guest for Cook, they either need him to produce a sick line or declare he was "withholding his services". I don't think anyone is suggesting he should have to ride if he's unwell with mental health, more he should see a Doctor if he's unwell with mental health.

  44. Hardly true of all teams. Some have very limited availability of track time.

  45. But some wouldn't shell out for a season ticket if the team looked weak would they? I'd have thought best way to generate interest is to reveal your side and whet people's appetite and removing the doubt.

  49. Assuming Richie is factually correct. Bottom line is if he never had cocaine in his system he wouldn’t have got a £1,500 fine if he took his punishment instead spouting off all over social media he wouldn’t have got the £3000 fine. No point in blaming everyone else.

  50. All these shenanigans reminds me of when the authorities had to try and deal with Michael Lee, he was a bit of a loose cannon to say the least and if social media had been a thing in his day he would probably have had a field day... not to mention it being across all of the papers! The difference of course is that Michael Lee was a World Champion and Richie Worrall is nothing more than a tin pot 2nd division rider with quite a high opinion of himself it seems. Good riddance to bad rubbish, the sport is not going to lose a single fan due to him not being involved in it.
