Obviously I’m no Poole fan but is this Osborne bloke some kind of clown, he certainly cannot understand the history of all of our beloved sport, one of the most successful teams if not the most successful team ever and he’s circling like a shark I hope the fords keep it going for the sports sake and all the Poole fans and you all get together and tell him to do one. It’s well supported well run and the council should tell him to foxtrot Oscar . Good luck for the future Poole fans I genuinely mean that we all have digs at each other through the season but I admire Poole as there the model we should all be aiming at.5 points

If he wasn't bothered about Ipswich or UK he could move his family to Sweden or Poland and still get family time. He's committed to the UK and gets nowhere near enough credit. If every GP rider was the same, Speedway in the UK would be top notch.4 points

Phil Morris, will not be prepared to allow clubs "yes people" to continue for very long as a Voice representative if all they do is say "everything is great at my club" nor will he tolerate folk who see this as a forum to moan, complain about everything being rotten to the core as far as Premiership speedway is concerned. He will be looking to work with representatives who take a balanced view to the current situation and can provide feedback on current topics and potential additional concepts for the near and far future. This is a great idea and should be applauded not shot at.3 points

Very true. For those that are there every week, it's clear to see. As opposed to somebody with a Man U top as his profile and the words Sick Bro - I know what I see and whom to believe.2 points

As they say the devil is often in the detail, you can draw a lot from what is or isn't said, a rider who was merely going through the motions wouldn't say the things he has - he would simply say something bland like - 'I am pleased to re-sign for the Witches and lets go for 2024' All the other stuff about the club being run well, being paid on time and family etc are clues as to how he feels. You can choose to ignore that if you wish. They also provide illumination on what may or may not have gone on at other clubs in the past. His body language in the pits, with the fans and after winning heats also shows a lot, again someone who views his time at Ipswich as a 'pure' convenience' wouldn't be like he is with the fans etc. Finally - treating someone well often brings it own loyalty as a director of a company of 22 staff, many of whom have been with us for 10+ years I know all about that! Yes no one works for free and in many cases convenience helps - but it would be more convenient for me to work in the local chip shop as its 2 minutes from my home and i wouldnt have to run a company of 22 people and all the stresses that goes with it, but I still choose to do it!2 points

I believe Doyle when he says he is happy at Ipswich, you can see what it means to him when he wins important races for Ipswich. He is a honest guy who clearly likes his employer and wants to do well for them.2 points

Think a few people are getting a little carried away. Jason Doyle will do what's best for Jason Doyle and his family. And so he should. Riding in the UK suits him and his family, Riding for Ipswich suits him and his family. And in return he performs week in week out and gives value for money to his employers end of. If you want to put him on a pedestal of integrity and loyalty and he does it for the love of the fans etc, might want to ask Leszno how they feel about him.2 points

That would assume the Council would offer the lease again, and if they do offer it, what the operating/development criteria might be?2 points

Think the club that holds the rider registration has first call. If not offering a place then I believe you are correct Having said that it is pretty much a free for all whatever the rules - politics and finance override the regs......2 points

Don't really see your issue. Hook and Pearson signed straight from Oz with no professional league experience thus 4s. Tate, west and fid that matter rew and bowes went to Poland and have professional league experience as such are 5s. Pretty straightforward really2 points
-
On this point if you examine what Doyle said last season and this - it is clear his reasons for his staying at Ipswich for season no 3 (slightly different to his long service to British Speedway) and perhaps a dig or too at former clubs - last season he mentioned about always being paid on time, and how well run Ipswich were, this year he describes the family atmosphere at the club.2 points

Don’t know what all the fuss about a 3pm start time. Yeah working full time and life gets in the way some weeks but if you’re really a supporter you’ll be there when you can. As for it clashing with the Reds and amateur rugby, I know what I’d prefer to go and watch. Instead of all the negativity flying around in the world atm can we just have some positive thinking for a change. Get behind the promotion, behind our 7 riders whoever’s they may be, and support the comets.2 points

If the MainSpeedwayManFan is truly in charge of team acquisition them don't rule out an attempt to coax James Shanes out of retirement to become our "rising star"2 points

I'm sure that many feel the same and for others the penny has yet to drop. The local rag posts that Lyon and Basso have jumped ship and others are likely to follow. Who gives a flying **** (and that's not Ryan)? Any Peterborough Speedway supporter who puts another penny in Chapman's coffers in 2024 (unless he choose to clarify to our satisfaction what he's been playing at during 2023) really does need to have a serious word with themselves. When we had the misfortune of Chapman taking over 5 years ago it was reported that "Two winters ago he played a significant role in keeping the sport at the National Speedway Stadium in Manchester by introducing new owners to Belle Vue." - which begs the question as to what he's been buggering about at all season and why he's allegedly still clinging on to sod all? The only challenge and focus for Peterborough supporters now is to keep the opposition going with significant numbers despite having nothing to follow in 2024. When/if PCC get round to the planning applications then strong opposition is going to be crucial to saving the club.2 points

Can't see Dan lowering himself to those kind of levels tbh. Leaving BV for KL is the equivalent of leaving Kate Moss for Vanessa Feltz.2 points

Don’t understand why, he has never had a good meeting round our place. Did he not also remark on his dislike for Ashfield.1 point

I'd be saying the same wherever he rode. Anyway, don't want to to labour the point, as I've said I just felt it needed making and to reiterate its great that riders of his ilk are here and that more and more seem like they are following.1 point

Not sure TJ is going to improve on his current average but with a weaker league he’ll do a job with Bailey & Edwards likely to improve . Mulford is basically starting again but showed promise. Replace Trigger with Hodder as travelling from Plymouth for home meetings isn’t a great idea .1 point

Others have lived in the UK and not ridden our league and chosen Poland, Sweden and Denmark. Not sure why there’s a sudden discussion arguing against a world class rider being so loyal to Speedway in this country and finding reasons why that is the case. But then they do seem to be coming from Norfolk way so that probably explains it. How many as good and in demand as him, that is a regular in the GP, has chosen to ride in the UK over the years? He’s in a tiny tiny minority and we’ve been lucky to have him here full stop. Jack Holder to be fair to him, is showing a similar level of loyalty so far.1 point

Two big variables in that statement. Firstly, the word "If" and secondly number "1" Say Zagar was intended to be a #2 or #3? There's another thread where someone has posted a fantasy Brummies team that has the Pawlicki brothers in the Brummies team, and Piotr would certainly be above Zagar in those rankings. Another fantasy team lists Artem Laguta as the Brummies #1. I won't worry about Zagar being in the team until I see the whole team and what his part is in it. Until then, chill!1 point

The discussion has nothing to do with Robert Lambert (Who incidently lives in Poland with his Polish girlfriend....that's the difference) I'm sure Doyle does love riding for Ipswich, they are a good club. And despite the A140 being the work of the devil it's extremely convenient for someone living in Norwich to ride there. He's never been my cup of tea but I want as many top riders in the UK as possible. He's doing what's best for him and his family in a short career, as a self employed tradesman that's absolutely right. But his 'loyalty' to the UK is a by product of that.1 point

I have long maintained that £15, a pound per race, is about right for Championship level speedway, even more so now if the product is to be watered down to increase that gap between Premiership and Championship. As you say a concession price of £18 is an still expensive night out for many, as by the way is £20 for full paying adults, but we hope that the promotion have done their research and this is the price they consider fair to the paying customer and to bring in much needed regular revenue. If you want to watch speedway then we know the price on the ticket, you either pay it or you don't.1 point

Done neither. Doyle's integrity & loyalty is with his family. Riding for Ipswich is a job & what he deems best for himself & family right now. Nothing to do with any love or loyalty for Ipswich &/or British Speedway.1 point

I'll go to Ipswich for sure, I may even pop down to Leicester a couple of times too next season. Never King's Lynn though, I don't have anything against KL fans, I don't have a problem with any of them, I just refuse to cave in to Buster's plan by doing all the things that he wants us Panthers fans to do. Simple plan. 1. Work with AEPG in demolishing the Showground (Already started) 2. Sign as many 2023 Panthers riders up for KL in 2024 in an attempt to reel Panthers die hards in (Already started) 3. The Panthers fans who do take the bait by attending the AFA on a regular basis will eventually become KL fans if Peterborough don't return within 12 Months. 4. Buster has his best financial season in recent memory due to him only paying for 7 riders instead of 14 as well as seeing attendances at KL sky rocket where the die hard Panthers fans turn up and compensate for all the KL fans that have walked away in recent memory. 5. Peterborough eventually die and Buster wins the game.1 point

Thats the team I’m thinking. 3 riders coming back from injury is a concern but I don’t think it’ll be too far away from what is going to be announced.1 point

Only thing with that team is 3 riders returning from injuries this year. Otherwise ok, can take a punt on TJ on that average in my opinion.1 point

Every point up to 8, sometimes 9 counts. Beyond that why take unnecessary risks. It’s not about finding a system that penalises Zmarzlik, it’s about the fact that a perfectly good system for ensuring every single race mattered was replaced with one where the individual heats aren’t as important as the semis and final. Zmarzlik is the best rider in the world. All the conspiracy theories (especially those suggesting he only wins because most of the rounds are in Poland) are frankly a load of BS. He’s just head and shoulders above the competition and knows when the right time to turn it on is.1 point
