I'm guessing Bomber's reference this week wasn't to the Championship. I'd hope we'd have been told if he wasn't coming back. As far as I know, Glasgow know who they have for next year, so my conclusion in that everyone we haven't been told is leaving, is coming back. Seems the most logical scenario to me.4 points

So blinkered, some posters! Are promoters not allowed to have a working holiday, or even a holiday then? If they have made a 'profit' from their Speedway business, how do they plow even a penny back into facilities at a stadium where the majority are merely tenants? If the costs are, as someone suggested around £1000, to attend, what difference would that mean, adding £1000 to a track's overall budget for the year? That £1000 (and more) can be wiped out in quick time by a rain off.3 points

Could Oxford be racing in both prem and champ next season. that’s the plan, big week ahead3 points

I've seen some topics go off at a tangent into pretty pointless futile arguments... but how much does a week in Tenerife cost pretty much takes the biscuit... speaking of which, I wonder if you can get chocolate bourbons in Tenerife?2 points

Good luck to them all if they can sort out all the problems in a one hour meeting?! They don't even know for definite how many teams in each league - assuming there is more than one?! If they can sort all the sports issues then a couple of days in the sunshine is the least they all deserve!2 points

Given the lack of teams it's not likely to be twice a week. What it may mean is that there is speedway once a week throughout the season (although not on the same day each week).2 points

Dan Thompson will have certainly learned more this year than he would have last year riding alongside messers Morris and Worrall!2 points

Two seasons is a good effort for their long term plans...usually gone after 1 year.1 point

But, if like last year, there is nothing left to discuss then why did some teams with NDL sides say that we can not fit in all the fixtures so 2A 2H will have to go & only have 1H 1A plus the BSN & KOC competitions. Also, we will reduce the team declaration points from 42 to 40.1 point

I agree with you up to a point. But: A] it is a tone deaf action in a time when many are coping with tighter budgets due to the 'cost of living crisis' B] what choice do promoters who don't fancy a piss up in the sun have? To waste £1000 or miss out on input into the big decisions. C] how do you bring in 'experts' for specific sessions? (zoom may be adequate, but hardly ideal)1 point

The 1k is for one promoter some teams have joint promotion so both go (2 x 1k) to make sure correct decisions are made correctly. A run to rugby £125 in petrol for Scottish promotions, 2 nights in Premier Inn £175 job done at less than a third of price to going to tenerife!!1 point

A lot of the northern promoters are not happy about the money spent to go for a show of hands But the mafia win again !!!1 point

The Stadium,s that they have owned /leased over the years were/are Bristol, Reading, Milton Keynes, Swindon, Poole, no alternative sites were found for any of those that were closed, I do believe that they had something to do with Hereford Utd FC at one time but not now, as for Torquay Utd FC I would be worried very worried as to where they are headed whilst Osborn is in control, or put another way no Team or Club has flourished under the guidance of Osborn or his companies.1 point

Was told its costing 1k each to go to the conference to have a show of hands to pass what already has been agreed. This money could have been spent on a lot more things, like facilities for the fans in the stadiums, money towards some form of media promotion etc etc1 point

Now we are reduced to abusing mechanics! We weren’t all made to be super models! No need for it in my humble opinion! Steve’s mechanic Neil is vastly experienced and does a good job! I know that for the Glasgow v Poole final he left home in Swindon at circa 8 in the morning drove to Glasgow via Cleethorpes, spannered at meeting then done the reverse trip getting home circa 8-30 Saturday morning! Then had bikes to clean and prep for the 2nd leg. He gets paid that is true and no disrespect to Steve it wasn’t for 24 hours with 16 of those at time and a half!! How many of us would be able or willing to do that? This topic is supposed to be about Ritchie Worrall, so please keep it on track!1 point

Yes (they come back), because they are fans and running a speedway team is their hobby. It's not a serious business proposition any more. In their heart of hearts they must know there's no way back, but they are fans first and foremost and can't bear to put it out of its misery.1 point

Claus averaged 6.19 away from home in league matches this year, 7.23 including bonus points (riding with Basso). Don't understand why he's not in Glasgow's plans on a 6.24 average when over the league season he averaged 7.07, 8.00 included bonus points1 point

Sheffield booked the tiny No1 room with no sea view for £200 per night but at the last minute we're allowed to switch to the Robert Lambert penthouse suite (amazing reassessed at just £175 per night)1 point

100% want Doyle involved with Ipswich next year, preferably as captain - generally scores well everywhere, drops very few points at home and is a great influence on the team... If we let him go, it will for sure bite us in the proverbial.1 point

It's not 2 substances. I was intrigued as to what Benzoylecgonine was, so I googled it and it is a by-product of Cocaine use which is produced by the liver and is what they test urine for when screening for Cocaine.1 point

Welcome to the Glasgow Tigers 2024 page, but thought I'd mention something that has got nothing to do with 2024. Just watched the 2023 Grand Final home leg on BSN - its really worth watching. If you don't know the score, Glasgow won 52-38.1 point
