  1. Went last night and what a cracking evening. So many happy smiling faces, not just the fans, but the riders too. Emil in particular was very excitable. And you get some miserable sods who will try and tell you it’s all pointless and not worth winning. There may not be a monetary prize, but its sport and standing on a podium and lifting silverware is very much worth winning to all those involved. Life in general can get so sh!t at times for all of us, so moments like these which puts smiles on so many faces even for a short while, should be embraced.

  2. Id be raging if someone held me responsible for what the British government do. It's a lot of cobblers. The Russian government invaded Ukraine, not the Russian people, and certainly not vadim. His opinion on Putin is no more relevant than mine or yours. Anyone that thinks an accident of birth makes you responsible for the state's actions is an idiot.

  3. Im biased being a Witches fan but what a signing this guy has turned out to be Gives 110% every meeting ....not just here for a payday and turning up as and when it suits him. His scoring has been sensational but i want to touch on the other side of our sport He is the last one out of the pits to the changing rooms.....signs EVERY autograph and has EVERY picture EVERY week........always has a smile on his face and chats to everyone I knew he was a class rider but to see how he interacts with all the fans all the time he has been a pure pleasure to see every week We need more riders that do this not just hastily disappear after a meeting Ive heard from various sources that at away matches he has time for all the opposing supporters to Thankful as an Ipswich fan we didnt sign Holder with the attitude he has!!

  4. Mega respect for everything the SRBF does, but after reading riders injured racing at IOW (Nora) wouldn't be eligible for financial support, why does Wright, racing in Poland? I'm not suggesting Wright should not receive support, just pointing out should riders not get the same help if they crashed on the IOW? Get well soon Charles

  5. I presume to the promoter. I really don't understand why some people seem to have a problem with that. Do they want promoters to only stage meetings that loose money? No wonder nobody wants to be a promoter. I'm pretty sure that Buster has faced huge amounts of additional costs this year at his two tracks, and if this helps defray those losses I'm content with that. PS And I'm usually to be found throwing rotten tomatoes rather than praise in his direction. PPS Nobody is forcing you to go.

  7. Sorry to go on again but the original posting has peed me off a little. We are a nation that pride ourselves on welcoming others but recently anything or anybody Russian is scum. Indeed we have seen in sport people refusing to shake hands with someone that is Russian. That is wrong. It's not just wrong it's racism. The sad thing is the same people who have jumped on the Ukraine bandwagon are the one's who preach the anti racism message but fail to see how racist they are themselves by suggesting that anyone who is Russian should be cancelled just because their nutjob of a leader invaded another country. Were all German's Nazis in the 1930's/40's? Do all Russians support Putin? Stop being such bloody racists you hypocrites!!

  8. The 15 & 16 page objections from Orton Southgate make interesting reading. If they in any way know what they are talking about then they've ripped AEPG a new one

  18. What the F is Buster on. Bloody embarrassing. Why is he always having a sulk after an event instead of being honest at the time? I really feel for Peterborough having lost my own team before but Buster is basically a liability to any speedway team

  19. Back in the day riders had one bike, did their own mechanics and driving and the majority held down a job as well.

  20. Credit to King, he's really raised his game - at the start of the season it's what he said he could do, but only showed it in randomly. However, for these two matches he's made a big difference.

  21. Ride it hard then! Simples! Can’t understand why he’s come back to uk racing if he’s just gonna moan about the uk tracks

  25. I think I can speak on behalf of most speedway fans here in the UK and we would all love Emil at their club next season. He's been the best rider I've ever seen at leicester this season. Just an insane rider and an all round nice guy. I couldn't give a monkeys what average he's on, sign him up leicester!

  35. Well......What can i say. What a fantastic night, and brilliant to see such a big crowd. As for the result, as I've said on here before, it's a Cup, and we have won it, and deservedly so in my opinion. I can remember right at the start of the season on the Peterborough page, i constantly said that Chris Holder wasn't in the bag as some were saying, yes i knew all along, but what a bullet they dodged there. And when some said he's coming to Ipswich, Thank god i knew he wasn't. What a whinger, and I'm sure i speak for many Sheffield Fans, a very very bad signing, at any time of the season, this lad would of been a disastrous signing. But it is what it is. On Ipswich, simply hit form at the right time, i will still standby my original stuff on the team, that we kept loyal to Riss for to long, and Danny had been bang average when we were going through our awful spell.....but when I'm wrong, i admit I'm wrong and the last few meetings the skipper has really come to the party, last night he was so quick, and when not in front, he battled hard for every point. Emil, no words can be said that haven't already been said.....we must keep him...Simple. He must return to the GP's, will that change anything, i hope not. But for me Jason Doyle has been class for us from the day he walked in 2 years ago, last night, simply untouchable and for me he's next season's skipper. But it's easy to hail the big guns, what about Keynan Rew, found it hard this season, but he's kept going, now looks like he's enjoying it, pleasure to watch him last night, and for me another rider who we must try to keep. Erik Riss, yes i did say we should of changed him, and i still standby that as I've said, but he tries so hard, he is grateful for the loyalty shown and he deserves his moment of glory, and it may not be just last night where we get glory this season, depending on his average, we might keep him you know. Danyon and Joe went ok, i still feel for Joe but i hope we can retain Dan, but he's a R/S so not sure what pick we get for that next season. Danyon for me works so hard, but every time he goes round them bends he scares me to the point i don't watch, but another lad who deserves this trophy. Well done to everybody last night behind the scenes, brilliant to see so many celebrate on Centre Green with the rider's( Sadly i didn't as was wearing Flip Flops)but brilliant to see you all enjoy the victory. Onto Belle Vue and Monday night, it's not impossible you know, we couldn't could we, i think we could, and i hope to be there supporting the lads

  36. But don’t forget that Poole picked Scunthorpe before Charles Wright got injured. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, Redcar had ran Poole close in a couple of matches over the last season or two.

  37. Yes he had his A team mechanics again last night, bruv put the go faster stripes on Just so so pleased this team have won something, and justified Chris and Ritchie's plan of sticking with the team.

  41. An excellent post. The above bit is the only bit I would partly disagree with. Hume definitely busted a gut, but that really means he was over-riding - he wasn't able to cope with pushing that hard and a fall was inevitable (which he has done numerous times before). Overall though, the Witches attacked the track and benefitted. A very good victory, and it showed how important the "engine room" has to be - the hard work was done at Owlerton, and the equivalent Tigers riders couldn't respond at Foxhall.

  43. That's Ipswich's first title this season. Chris Holder complaining about a track that isn't a Polish carpet rug lol, I've got no idea why Sheffield signed him knowing they had to visit Ipswich and Wolves in their crunch meetings, The guy is mentally beaten before the meetings even get started at those tracks, Sacking Kerr was beyond stupid.

  44. I really don't understand why any speedway fan would post something like this. Even if you hate a club, why would you want them to disappear completely? Speedway needs every single club it can get these days. And anyway, a good rivalry makes following a specific team even better in my opinion. It's incredibly sad what's happening to the likes of Wolverhampton and Peterborough.

  46. Is he full Russian or assessed Russian? Surely you should be having a go at Peterborough too? And Ipswich for signing Emil Sayfutdinov? Singling out Glasgow seems strange. Find it hard to hold a citizen of a country responsible for the actions of its Government, I certainly wouldn’t want to be held responsible for the shower we have governing this country.
