  1. Enjoyed last night, despite the 'Stars' losing, and I'm sorry that Ipswich will now miss the play-off's, following Leicester's win at Wolverhampton. It's been great to see the likes of Robert Lambert, Emil Sayfutdinov, Tai Woffinden and Artem Laguta back on British tracks for the various lengths of time that they've been here. Love him or hate him, which the majority seem to on this forum, without knowing the real Keith Chapman, the atmosphere at the Adrian Flux Arena has improved, in my opinion, ten fold, since he was forced into having to take the lead role in our favourite sport again. The cheers and applause that he received after the meeting, when he announced that he would keep the club alive going into 2024, was great to hear, so thank you Buster, for allowing the keyboard warriors, the chance to slag you off again next spring. They are in the minority, compared to the amount of people that do support you. I agree with Bagpuss, Simon Lambert must be the first name on the team sheet for next season. He's a great captain, and a rider that never knows when he is beaten. Okay, I'll open my windows now, as I'm expecting the S**t to hit the fan, but I've expressed MY opinion, as of course you are. Have a good winter everybody.

  2. I t will repeat what i said last year. How do you get the twenty thousand that turned up in cardiff on saturday into manchester that holds about 8000, Why do we want to every year want to move it to a venue miles out from any facilities? And as for people thinking cardiff is expensive do you really think london would be cheaper. Ive been 17 times and will be back next year, Cardiff is a great day out and if you dont agree dont go

  4. All we need now is for Barker to confirm he lent Richie some piss as Richie had just taken an anadin.. Only in Speedway

  5. People should be careful what they wish for, you couldn't ask for a better place than Cardiff, over the 20yrs there's been more excellent meetings than bad ones. BV is a great track but sadly lacks everything else that attracts people to Cardiff. Leave Cardiff and speedway for Britain takes a step backwards in my opinion.

  6. The information did not come to light until 3 minutes before we went on air. At that point there was no official statement, we were simply informed they had been removed on medical grounds. Once the SCB statement was released we made sure to read it to inform the fans. Anything prior to that is speculation and we are not looking to get into that. So yes, any other broadcast organisation would have done exactly that, went by the book not rumour.

  7. Yes, they must be 5h1t faced to turn up and pay to watch this cr@p

  8. Can you imagine any other broadcast organisation ignoring the story electing to talk about the weather instead? After all they have an expert in the matter in Ben Barker on comms

  9. If Riss was to end his season early we could have Lewis Kerr to guest for the cup !!! riss was woeful tonight. Kept looking behind even when last. I think he was expecting the tractor to pass him.

  10. That’s shocking from Berwick to not win that.

  11. After following the sport for nearly 40 years I've struggled to take team speedway seriously in GB for a while. Riders doubling up and down and guesting all over the place! It's quickly becoming a case of just having any rider in the meeting to get it on irrespective of club affiliations! Sad times.

  12. A crucial match featuring the two best teams in the league and available on BSN, so Poole fans can watch some proper speedway (I reckon 2 minutes max ).

  13. Nice gesture from the Lions management. They have released a statement tonight saying that, instead of giving out whistles to the fans if they qualify for the play offs, they will give each season ticket holder a free spliff as a thank you from the riders for supporting them through this difficult season.

  14. If you can ignore the fact that there were only 3 Plymouth riders on view tonight that was a pretty good finish for them. I can't really ignore that fact... so meh Berwick could claim they were robbed with the Hans Andersen exclusion which should probably have been a 5-0 Berwick were poor for not taking Plymouth to the cleaners

  15. Personally have a lot of time for Ritchie. Says it how he is and to the point and he’s bang on with a lot of what he says. Just the usual happy clappers and programme wavers who don’t like him. That speedway friends page on Facebook is full of weirdos no offence to the non weirdos who are on there but the majority need there heads checked.

  16. Maybe this why Richie was too heavy to win the British final, hes be carrying a six pack in his kevelars.

  18. Probably about time people stopped making excuses for Worrall, the guy is an absolute walloper and an embarrassment to his brother who conducts himself with the utmost professionalism. Richie has no respect for the paying fan. The only people who respect him are the ‘risks his life for our entertainment’ crowd. The remarks he made recently on social media in response to some light criticism were nothing short of appalling.

  20. Seems like easy pickings at the moment. It's been more like the Leicester "Lines" this season

  21. I hope so. I’m absolutely raging. Test the lot of them at every meeting.

  22. Well they have at least addressed it by reading the SCB statement, but the co-commentator has not made any comment on it.

  27. I'm just a supporter like yourself trying to do the only thing that we can do. Those are all valid points and I don't know the answer. We just have to hope that someone really is interested in taking the club forward and AEPG come to the table, whether voluntarily or due to outside pressures. PCC and AEPG thought that this would go through on the nod so we can only try to put a spanner in the works, make it difficult and cross our fingers. Whether we'll win I don't know but doing nothing will hand victory to the executioner.

  28. PETERBOROUGH have been given a boost over the fitness of Artem Laguta ahead of their crunch clash with Leicester on Thursday. Laguta missed his final ride in Monday's win over Sheffield due to sustaining an ankle injury after an awkward second-bend tangle with team-mate Chris Harris in Heat 10, although he made a superb move to win the re-run before the ankle swelled up.However, the good news is nothing is broken and he will have more treatment locally before taking his place against the Lions.

  30. Don't be daft, the promoter's never put that much thought into rules. They'll come up with an idea to fix a problem, blissfully unaware it creates 2 new problems

  31. Never thought I'd say this but Simon Lambert needs to be on the team sheet next year whatever league we are in.

  32. Just got back in don’t want to comment on the worrall situation as I have no facts to go on, howarth brilliant Pearson brilliant sedgeman absolute joke didn’t try a at all. But joe Thompson take a bow son and thank you so much you have a good one there you Poole fans absolutely busted a gut for us tonight if your a Berwick fan you must be scratching your head about this one.

  37. They caused a stir alright. AEPG are clearly rattled and thought these applications were going to be waved through. They need to get in a room with the current owner, future potential owners, the CEO of EoEAS and the council. AEPG could also do themselves a favour by holding a public meeting and this time not cuss and swear at the attendees.

  38. No, what cost them was an unexpected debilitating illness to a very decent top flight rider in Erik Riss, and an unlucky pre-season crash for what would have been one of the better rising stars in the league in Jack Thomas. The issue certainly wasn’t going top heavy as you claim. You don’t build a side with two very high averaged riders and expect a potent bottom three as well that’s obvious, but the side Chris Louis put together would have sailed in to the play offs comfortably but for these issues.

  40. Could be very close this one starke and Neilsen swapping makes Birmingham no weaker or stronger if batchelor rides like he did the other night could be very tight Pearson will be the one who could swing it having up to 7 rides.

  41. Really enjoyable meeting last night. Close scoreline, good racing, and no long delays between the heats. Heat 15 in particular was outstanding, a fantastic race in which all four raced hard and fair.

  42. Following on from that previous comment, fair play to the real Laguta who turned up for this. Those two rides were special and full credit to him for getting up injured and winning the re-run at a canter. Shame that I doubt that we'll see him again this season but that's speedway.

  44. Why do you think you deserve the chance of an extra point for not being good enough to win home meetings? Got what they deserved. Should be 1pt to each team. The only time a Super heat should ever be needed is when the aggregate scores are level.

  46. As a speedway fan in general before any club loyalties now - i think its great that Lynn will be back in 2024 - lets hope for a positive season for you as well!

  47. Has had 8 rides for Ipswich, and scored one gifted point. Now they were two tough meetings in the top tier so it’s not a criticism (although two or three points would have been nice) but having seen him at Lynn last night he currently looks miles off rising star standard in the Premiership. For perspective, Danny King was chucked straight in to a high quality Elite league by John Louis at 16 years old many years ago and instantly scored points. Every rider is different though, some show immediate talent and then never progress, others start very slowly and end up topping the world. I do find all these predictions a little premature and strange, been here a few years back with Drew Kemp who by now was tipped to be a GP Star! Let’s just wait and see how the lad develops.

  48. I tell ya what,,,, massive massive praise should be heaped on Simon Lambert,,, the poor bloke always seems to miss out on team places in the top league until injuries,,,, but he always seems to put ipswich to the sword,,, 15 points,,, that's fantastic really. By the way, Riss,, a former stars number 1 was pure doggy doo doo again,,
