What happens if it goes to count back for the semi spots and the tied teams haven't ridden against each other? Simon Lambert Superstar! The CL should be full of Simon Lambert's but promoters keep getting drawn to the Troy Batchelor's8 points

I hope Bachelor is thrown out of the club for his lack of effort and pulling wheelies and putting zero effort in. A disgrace to the brummies race jacket.7 points

No because BSN have a contract that they must show 2 meetings from each track per season, They haven't shown one from Peterborough yet due to weather. It's not there fault it's contractual.6 points

Looks like lewy and Mike0310 could be the pairing for the Devils at this rate. .5 points

Max Perry is now partnering Kyle Howarth. Craig Cook has pulled out for Edinburgh too, so Luke Killeen now partners Josh Pickering. Year in year out riders suddenly drop out of meetings like this, and the case of this meeting, you can now count either of those pairs as winners. Total joke, and a complete waste of money attending.5 points

After an iffy start turned into a really good pairs meeting with some excellent racing when any of the three top teams met. Well done to Glasgow who thoroughly deserved their victory with Chris Harris the rider of the night. His team riding in the semi was epic and in stark contrast to Charles Wright in the final, who was busting a gut to win the race when he should have dropped back to try to help his partner into third. Also a special mention for young Max Perry taking a fine heat win. And finally - where was Cami?3 points

Fantastic win, well deserved. Beat Poole, Oxford and Redcar five times from five heats. Redcar well worthy of second, Lewis Kerr was brilliant most of the night for Oxford too. Batch needs dispatched.3 points

Lambert last in that one ... but he'd be the first person I'd have in my team and build the rest around him. The guy has grit and balls.3 points

Charles Wright shouldve been out for knocking Simon Lambert off. Then in the rerun he moved at the start but it took the referee almost half a lap to put the red lights on. As for Batchelor he should be thrown out of the meeting. Dickie The Gater apparently unhappy with the track, yet he rides Poole every week.3 points

This does seem a bit of strange discussion to be having, and feel the thread would be better used to congratulate Glasgow….however… A coin toss is literally used at the start of every football game to decide which end each team gets etc. Now while this isn’t exactly groundbreaking, it’s barely any different from a coin toss to decide which semi-final Glasgow or Oxford should be in is it? It barely (if any) impacted the result, just like the coin toss at the start of a football match. Should they have a quick five a side game before kick off instead if everything should be performance based?2 points

From the regulations 016.2.2 Racing Format To be confirmed. 016.2.3 Racing Regulations Starting offences for the 1st offence, the offending rider will be handicapped as per these Regulations. For a 2nd offence for the same rider then that rider will be disqualified. Where there is a tie for the semi final qualification, a two way tie will be decided by the result in which the pair met, highest score. If more than a two way tie or the pair have not met then the team with the highest scoring heat results (7-2, 7-0, 6-3, 5-4, 4-5, 3-6) will qualify and if still not resolved, then by ballot. Regardless of helmet colours each pair can switch programmed gate positions between themselves. Heat points for this event will be 4, 3, 2, 0. In the case of an abandonment and the event is not re-staged the result will be taken from the completion of heat 9 as this is where all teams had completed the same number of heats.2 points

Trouble is that the punters do not make their feelings known to the real culprits and so the powers that be followed by the gate and go throttle merchants who turn up when it suits them continue to take the p... Someone needs a word with these self believing overrated sports participants because too many punters have walked away because of the daft rules and rider attitudes. And those that cannot take the criticism should walk.2 points

It seems that if it is not a league meeting the riders are not interested. Are the pay scales that different between these events and a league match? Those that run the sport need to get a grip and deal with those who duck these events and the riders need to respect the punters who pay good money to watch a meeting and each and every rider who effectively sticks two fingers up and each and everyone of us who pay good money to watch should be shown the door. This is no longer a sport for professionals who seem to think they are owed a living, it is a part time occupation alongside a proper job and those riding should cut their cloth accordingly. Those that duck out of these type meetings should be banned from x number of league matches. The riders seem to believe that they are actually owed a living and look to anyone but themselves but get real and find another job if you cannot make speedway pay, don’t take the p...out of the punters.2 points

It has to be the EoES for the few more years that Buster said was possible in Sept 2022. That will both save the track and stand, stabilise the club and give new owners time to plan for a future elsewhere, if need be that is should PCC capitulate and agree to the pointless 10 year concrete jungle which benefits nobody. I think that it's the EoES or the end irrespective at this moment in time. The whole process is just following the regular pattern with such developments. The difference here compared to most tracks that disappear is that we have the ammunition to make it very difficult and our opposition public as we have some clever people who can hold AEPG and PCC to account. That's what they don't want. Their PR on the radio & press has been pretty poor and the last thing that they want is strong public opposition or close examination of their rationale. I was told by someone who knows (no names no pack drill) that these things go through on the nod, until I pointed out some of the contentious issues and that changed the tone pretty quickly.2 points

I think the expectation is there because of how far he has come in a year since first sitting astride a speedway bike, and the style he has on the bike already. Best thing he can do is get over to Poland next year, its been rumoured that that will be the case. It could go either way of course but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he isn't a big name in the sport in a few years time.2 points
