Have we really got to a point here where we’re gonna start threads just to have a dig at riders? I come here to avoid that, there’s a Facebook group that will be happy to have you.6 points

As a retired Barrister I have had a look through the rule book on the SCB site and cannot believe how poorly worded it is. The solution is simple rip it up. Get the BSPA brains trust together in front of a legal professional and explain to them the basic rules. They will then write a new rule book that is easy for fans to follow and does not have loopholes like this in it. It reminds me of the definition of F1 “To design a winning car that exploits the rule book, without breaking the rules”. I for one congratulate the Glasgow promotion on their savvy signing.6 points

Cant doubt craigs ability as a speedway rider. He just seems to have lost his way a little bit. I for one hope he rediscovers his form.5 points

I have heard if Ipswich don’t make the playoffs Emil Sayfutdinov has approached Glasgow to replace Ace Piper. Must be really throwing wads of cash at this one eh Steve.5 points

Not surprising, only time he gets by someone is when he rides through them.4 points

Why do people on here keep accusing the Bates family of match fixing? there have been posts about this on various threads now and it is getting tedious as well as potentially illegal its no wonder they want to sell Leicester when this is all they get, if they decide just to pull out of Leicester and Sheffield at the end of the season due to all the comments they receive i wouldn't blame them4 points

Not sure how we have egg on our faces!? No one has won anything yet! It's like everyone wants us to be annoyed even though we are not. Pretty funny tbh. Even Bagpuss is on his little I hate Poole windups lol.4 points

He seemed to stop posting roughly at the time of Workingtons first meeting at the new track, never posted about the first meeting and not posted since, I can only assume that he has had a falling out with someone close to Workington speedway, also noticable that no one that goes to Comet's speedway has commented on why, what, where or when, so can only presume it's being kept in house so to speak, THJ has been missed for sure by me if no-one else .4 points

He was looking at it but saw they were at Armadale tomorrow and has went missing again.4 points

Marcin would have made it very interesting and Pijper would have been more on the pace than Complin early on. Good meeting to watch just like the BSN meeting earlier. Updates site has several references to Glasgow riders stealing it on the line, never giving up would be my take. Brennan should be given the No2 race jacket with our recent signing, he's really toiling.3 points

Don't worry Tigers fans, even with the strongest team in the Championship after the Tarasenko signing, Cammy will still find a way to lose the Final3 points

Must've been so slow in the meeting on Sunday that he didn't fall off until Wednesday3 points

I'm upset.....but only because Oxford didn't think of it first. Ha. Cracking signing, and well done Glasgow. I obviously want Oxford to win, but there's another part of me that wants to see good riders racing speedway, so can't wait if Oxford and Glasgow meet in the playoffs.3 points

Useless eh,you're having a laugh,I've seen Craig cook since he first came through the ranks at Buxton and up until recently was one of the most fearless, talented riders out there,he's obviously had situations that have affected him, culminating in the incident at Edinburgh.so was Shawn Moran "useless" prior to him packing the sport in because in his own words, couldn't race for Sheffield anymore after they resigned him.take a long hard think before you judge Craig cook again,he doesn't have to ride but deep down, still wants to and I also hope that he finds his form back.3 points

Whatever grumbles I have in general there is one thing I will always hold in the highest regard and that's 'the speedway family'. There are many wonderful individuals involved in the sport and they've shown themselves to be true friends3 points

Had to be seen on TV,very poor from him not to be at Lynn.I just thought I didn't see him last night, but he does like to be seen by one and all, centre of attention thats why i assumed he wasnt there.Time Buster started with an entire clear out,and not just the riders.3 points

Looked a pale shadow last night, shutting off way before the bends signals to me he's lost it and should retire. Sad but it happens.3 points

If Edinburgh can't fit the Poole fixture in then why not take the abandoned meeting result at 26-10 and award Poole the 3 point2 points

No shock, well done Oxford looks like you have a good one in your new reserve. Good luck for the rest of the season.2 points

Abblit was excellent, as was Kemp. The meeting itself was fantastic racing. Possibly the best race track in the U.K. and was exploited in every heat. A really small crowd though which was a shame. Pirates now with best opportunity to finish top.2 points

Won’t be long for the usual turd polishing by our esteemed manager , with the exception of Bomber and Ben that was as toothless as it gets. And well done to Scunthorpe good performance by them.2 points

What? You haven't heard! Peterborough's last match (currently with no date and no bearing on the play-offs) is going to be on 30 October2 points

It's odd that it's taken until now for it to crop up. Absolutely agree, really looking forward to Oxford Glasgow match to see tarasenko and boughen. Throw in both sides top 3s and it's got classic match all over it.2 points

Here's an idea. As you say you go to Leicester, why not go and tell him in person regarding your opinion of his abilities. No, I thought not.2 points

There seemed to be a lot of people very disappointed that Poole fans haven't acted more hysterically to this signing. Most of the posts I've seen from Poole fans seem to accept they've been out manouvered. Anyway it will all be decided on track at the end of the day.2 points

Ashton has been included, as the Reserve, in the GB U19 Pairs squad in Pardubice, along with Sam Hagon and Joe Thompson.2 points

It was a rule, maybe still is, but one of the infamous “special dispensations” was invoked for Stoney which suggests it was a BSPA rather than an SCB rule2 points

Maybe.Leicester can ill afford to lose this home match.I'm sure things will be kept in the family way.2 points

Surely if Sheffield make rumoured changes, Kerr and Ellis will be available Was lovely to see A team of Bruv and Michael back in Danny's pit last night2 points

Fantastic meeting, and it was difficult to pick your own rider of the night. Robert Lambert, Simon Lambert & Anders Rowe were all worthy of it. Seeing Robert along with Tai and Emil Sayfutdinov recently, it really brings it home to me/us, what we've been missing (I know Emil has been here all season), they are all sheer class and a joy to watch.2 points

This is where the sport well and truly shoots itself in the foot, two top draw riders in Tobi and tai, replaced by Ryan d ( and no disrespect to him,he's a top class rider) and probably r/r if tai is missing.was going to go to this ( weather permitting) but not now if both are missing.this sport is on its arse and needs to be sorted out real quickly2 points

After an awful season to be a season ticket holder, that felt good. Missed the win vs Wolves so last time I saw Lynn win was in May! Sure if we rode tonight’s meeting 100 times with those line-ups, we’d lose 99 of them, but tonight was that miraculous 1. The reserves were magnificent, not just getting the better of the Aces pairing, but picking up vital points against Brennan and Wright. Robert was simply sensational, rode his nuts off in what was effectively a meaningless meeting. I know it’s unlikely but praying Robert chooses the UK over Sweden in 2024.2 points

There was me thinking Robert replaced a rider who's season had been finished by injury. To be fair the rule which determines Tarasenko's average is complete bobbins. However the idea that Glasgow will now waltz to the title is daft, he will make them stronger but their shortcomings are still present. It now makes it a three horse race rather than two. And I'd be surprised if they've had to break the bank to get him to ride....he's over here with bikes and a workshop etc already, his racing abroad is now finished and he's probably grateful for the extra meetings.2 points
