The world has gone mad. Fans are not cheering at the fallen rider, they are cheering for the gain for their team as a result of the incident, like when a top opposition rider goes through the tapes. It’s happened at all tracks and has been happening for the 52 years I have been going to speedway. It does not mean anyone wants to see a rider hurt though.9 points

And this is the problem.....teams with whom Glasgow directly compete having a say on who they can and can't sign.8 points

Honestly the best thing I ever did on this forum was puting that daft cow on ignore. I’d encourage more people to do the same.6 points

That was my thoughts all along people (person) on the management committees nose out of joint and fighting against it. Can't think any other sport where this can happen4 points

I think that’s unfair, Panthers supporters do give a toss, BUT the situation is complicated. The developers have yet to officially reveal their plans. There are things happening in the background, these will come to the fore when there is sight of the development plans. Suffice to say, there will be no Speedway at Peterborough in 2024, not because interested current or prospective promoters don’t want to, but because the developers will not renew the lease for any current or prospective promoters.4 points

Riders giving up after three laps and not completing a race is a real bug bear of mine, and what Boxall did was last Saturday was wrong, disrespectful and unprofessional.4 points

Think you're being unduly harsh on Lambert. He's been one of Lynn's bright spots this year & Belle Vue must be the hardest track for an away reserve to score points at.4 points

For the love of god think about, what kind of lunatic headbutts a helmet. Still image can look like anything out of context3 points

Was watching the stream and this didn't happen. Cami Brown was trying to keep the two apart. Even he wouldn't be stupid enough to headbutt someone wearing a crash helmet!3 points

How must win,, finishing top doesn’t win the league last time I checked. I am going to start a Poole free thread so we don’t continue to be exposed to bull on a daily basis.3 points

Times are tough for Plymouth but this isn't the fault of their management, so I hope that the genuine supporters will stick with them. If you lose your club, then you won't get it back - I know this from experience!!!3 points

There would be no point in doing that. Just use r/r for Jenkins with Killeen used as number 8 (Lewis Kerr gets an extra ride).3 points

Reminds me of a story which may or may not be urban myth... BBC commentator asks Chelsea player, "how do you pronounce your name? Is it Mon-koo or Mon-cow?" "It's 'Ken'". You're right though. Pre meeting research costs nothing. It's disrespectful and unprofessional to repeatedly mispronounce a name all evening. Eurosport kinda used it as some sort of comedy sideshow. Very poor. On a personal note, it's extremely rare that people pronounce my surname correctly. There are even a few in my office who still get it wrong, despite me having worked there over 30 years! Quite pathetic really.2 points

I know he skirts the line but the BSPL allow him to get away with it. That one is a complete violation of the rulebook2 points

The poster was saying that the conversion rate of 1.5 should be applied but that is not the case with assessed riders.2 points

Yep no doubt...... Lets focus on our plastic trophy on our guff track and do all we can to try not facing a team that is not at full capacity.......well done, NOT. Show some balls and face a team fair and square as per the rule book and cut the nonsense out..........or are you that scared!!!??? Plastic trophy, plastic champions.2 points

Bartoz Smarslek is on £1200/1500 a point you find the team that can afford £22,500 a night for one rider !!! plus I'm sure he's not going to have a sign on fee of a bottle of Irn Bru and Scotch pie. Rules aren't written for eventualities that haven't been forseen. But we're talking about a number 2 riding in the 2nd Division in Poland who's going well round Peterborough. So again if the alleged teams representatives are dragging their heels because they're concerned that one rider could stop their team finishing top. He cannot drop into reserve and get 7 rides, he is replacing another pole who had scored in every one of his last 21 heats!!2 points

Are facility’s for riders not allowed now ? when you only have 7 days to find a rider before the cut off date it’s going to be pretty hard to sort out his meetings2 points
-
Yes, but reading those rules posted by eide67, it does indeed read as if Zmarzlik would be a 5 in the championship, obviously it would be blocked yes. But just proves how inconsistent and ridiculous the rulebook really is.2 points

It's pretty obvious why crowds are falling at Cardiff. The way speedway is now, Cardiff is becoming too big for it. The event would be as big and special as it always was if the sport here could sustain support. How many tracks are there now in the UK? On a quick count I make it 19. Even if each track sent 1000 supporters it doesn't fill half the stadium.2 points
-
why would lambert/woffinden care about the attendance at Cardiff?2 points

I think this and the D.Mail article are all part of the evidence, if needed, to support the Pirates future with the Council when the stadium availability comes into real focus!!2 points

Most Panthers fans have been slagging off Buster all season for the crap track.2 points

There was a very decent crowd tonight, probably the biggest since the season opener. Considering it was on TV and we are bottom of the league, it was an excellent turn out.2 points

You'll have to excuse skidder, he is frequently prone to gobbledegook. He also seems to be suggesting that Jenkins withdrawal tonight was a fast one so that Wojdylo could have seven rides. As for Boughen, he's a great signing although it's rather harsh on Killeen. If it prevents Poole winning the league though I'm all for it Certainly seems to have put the wind up some of their supporters.2 points

Hi guys, I can confirm Pirates TV are providing the Live Stream for Weds match at Poole vs Glasgow. The link to purchase will be available shortly. Andy2 points

It was asserted on here by a Glasgow fan, without any evidence and repeated ad nauseum until it became received wisdom. Let's just say I wasn't entirely surprised by the news2 points
