  1. Marcin maybe one league match left but then they have playoffs another 4/6 meetings which will all be on a Saturdays for polish tv, he also has got to be there on a Friday for team practice before meetings, even, if he was allowed to miss practice to ride for tigers he would have to get back to Poland early Saturday morning and only flight he can get was from Stanstead at 5.45 travelling down through the night for flight then a few hours drive to tracks is not the best preparation for a team captain whose team is looking for promotion which brings along with it great money to the rider and his club in Poland is his bread and butter so it was a no brainier for him and was a very hard decision to make he has said he only came here to make him a better rider and has said it has helped him good luck to him and his polish team

  2. All very convenient getting recalled with one league match left. Two changes probably and Marcin replacement being an upgrade as well I bet. the tigers play off changes in the desperate hunt for silverware under way.

  3. Looks like your wasting your time, you have been found guilty for attending more than one track. You will be banished to Armadale to watch your speedway for these heinous crimes.

  4. Is Glasgow being "desperate" for the title supposed to be an insult? Why wouldn't they want to win the league, shouldn't every team? Ignoring the fact that they wouldn't have chosen to drop Marcin imo

  5. Wasn't that nice and not unexpected at all of Richard to let Newman past for the win

  6. What's wrong with doing that . Poole fans spam every thread

  7. Just a mention about the live stream from Poole today. Great coverage and interviews, thanks to all concerned and congrats to Poole

  8. Imagine the scenes from other fans if it was Wozniak haha, I kind of wish it was him just to see the meltdown on here lol.

  9. They are having to replace a rider who has stepped down. What are they supposed to do? I think they'll do well to find somebody on that average who will be an improvement.

  12. The "Marcin was a mistake" brigade have gone "f"ING quiet recently, 2021 - @ Edinburgh scores 1 @ Berwick Scores 0 While riding at reserve 2023 - @ Edinburgh Scores 3 then 6 @ Berwick scores 6 then 11 Scores, 6 at Scunthorpe, 5 at Redcar and 6 at Oxford, his 2 at Birmingham should've been 5 if he had his dirt deflector on. All while riding at #2 alongside Chris "scoring points for fun" Harris. Probably one of the most sensible #2 signings this year.

  14. PA been rubbish all season, saw some BRFC fans complaining of the same thing so hopefully the football club eventually fix it. Best wishes to Connor Coles, would happily have him back next season and would also get my vote for rider of the season by far.

  15. Based upon some knowledge from a few years ago, riders do get expenses but its nowhere near enough to cover actual costs. The way I see it, you simply pick the best rider for the role. Whether that is Connor Bailey or not is open to debate, but what should not happen is that he is ruled out as a result of some pathetic sort of punishment. Then again, we are talking about the BSPA/SCB here so no-one should expect anything different.

  16. That would be a massive massive downgrade and put far too much pressure on Complin, Ace and Ashton.

  17. I’m sure we will pull a rabbit out the hat . Shane Parker been attending home matches. And before anyone asks if I’m serious or is this wind up off course it’s not.

  18. I mean I know your a Berwick fan you know your a Berwick fan, and the big giveaway for this is the Bandit in your profile. I don’t even know why your explaining yourself to anyone on here, what you do or were you go is none of there business.

  20. Enlighten me where it was openly expressed that Laguta had walked away - perhaps had it been there may have been some understanding And even had he (which he likely had) it wasn't suitable reason to call off whatever the lack of replacements may have been

  21. Aye you're right enough we'll sign 2 riders with combined nearly 4 point lower averages and get an upgrade. Go home blobby you're drunk

  22. Apologies it was a Shovelar and friends fishing attempt. As can be seen they jumped on it like a fat kid on a happy meal. I will now return to speaking the truth only.

  23. I was at the meeting and we were on the back straight and we were lucky if we heard every other time, the PA is rubbish.

  25. Can’t see us replacing a plus 5 point rider with a 2 point rider.

  26. I was just writing Steve Shovlar’s piece to save him having to do it. I should have added “this hugely strengthens Glasgow against a weakened side still bedding in Joe Thompson”!

  28. I have often heard arguments in the pub about this one. Usually people who confuse sportsmen with the same name, saying 'don't be ridiculous Ronnie was too busy with his career at Tranmere to do speedway as well

  30. Just installed the app after reading this thread and although I have only bought the single ticket, it's showing 2, top tier, the one I bought and also a middle tier ticket, looks like we're all going to be packed into the middle tier like last years SGP2. Looks like this is going to be the last Cardiff... a wet weekend in Manchester next year

  31. Are you stupid I still go to Berwick , if you read my previous post prior (that means before) last weekend only one I missed was the double header against Scunthorpe think double headers are to expensive,if I wasn't going to support Berwick would have stopped going after 3 matches, I've never said I'm a Glasgow fan igo to Glasgow to see more entertaining speedway. I'll try and remember to ask your permission before I go back just to check if that's allowed lol.

  32. Don't need to been to most meetings get your facts right you're allowed to go to more than one place to watch speedway just so you know.

  33. Go on Wikipedia and search for “speedway gp challenge”, take a look back through the years. First off, you will notice the top three every year are usually dominated by the current (for that year) gp riders. However sometimes in the top three you will see a “new” name, like Wozniak this year, who will be in the following years GP series. So follow these names into the following year gp series and see how they do. For starters, take last yeas Challenge winner Kim Nilson. Then go back year by year. Success is not guaranteed. Michel Mickelson came as winner of SEC, how’s he doing. For sure change is needed, new faces are needed, but not 3 or 4 a year. And there could be a case made that when someone comes into the gps they need continuity of more than one year, two years at least. Why? GP is at a different level to league racing… fitness, mechanics, money (sponsors). Even then success is not guaranteed. Take Anders Thomson, very competent rider, came in last year and won a GP, brilliant first year, gets a ticket for this year. Unfortunately now badly injured, but prior to injury how well was he doing? Would he be in next years gp series? Yet I reckon Anders Thomson is a better rider than Kvech, Becker, Pawliki and add Lebedevs too. Take Lebedevs, been around a few years, age about 28. He’s been in a few gp challages, check out his results. Well capable of scoring 7-9 in a challenge final, but that’s it. He’s peaked (sadly, because I like his riding and been willing him on). Putting Lebedevs into a GP series would see him scoring 4-7. For sure I think occasionally he could ruffle a few feathers, which would be good, but not regularly. I don’t want to hold anyone back, look at Bewley, Lambert, JHolder….. they were given there chance and have embraced it fully….. not everyone can/will. Be careful what you wish for.

  34. IWhat was more disrespectful was whilst during the benevolent fund collection I told him to slow down slightly and make it more competitive. No chance he replied now I’m not sure if it was myself or Lee that was being disrespectful. Seriously if that’s what bothered you so much tonight why bother in the first place.

  35. You’ll come running back to Shielfield in a couple of years when Ashfield is demolished and turned into another ‘Allied Vehicles’ carpark. If you can’t ‘get behind the lads’ during the bad times, you don’t deserve the good times.

  36. He did score paid nine points to help them win, which was more the 6 Bandits riders managed though.

  37. Feel for the Bandits fans, love my trips to Berwick and would love them to do well, they are my second team after Glasgow and I have followed Glasgow when they were abysmal and success away from home was getting 30 points, hopefully the Bandits can re group and do better next season

  38. At least the England Women’s team reached the World Cup final unlike the Scottish women who were probably in the hills chasing haggis lol.

  44. Quite emotional scenes last night at Berwick pretty obvious to see how well liked he was by everybody at the club. A consistent scorer at number 2 who got better with each visit to away tracks. Wish him nothing but the best

  47. Totally get what you are saying. But you are are either fit (mentally or physically) or not to participate in a very dangerous sport which is also demands an extensive travelling commitment. Personal health and well being are the priority, but excuses for under performing to the paying public should not be tolerated. Either commit fully to your employer or step back to sort yourself out.

  48. First of all I wish Connor Coles a speedy recovery on any injuries he has picked up after his accident tonight. Tonight will be my last meeting at Berwick this season, I wish them all the best in their match against Plymouth but I refuse to have £20 taken out of my pocket to be served up with beaten after beaten after beaten. The team wasn't good enough at the start of the season and is worse now.

  49. Ask Mr Barrie ,we don’t get delays at Shielfield according to him because we have 2 Ambulances.
