Seemed a fair enough decision to re-run that race, to me. Wright might well have overtaken Sedgy on the last lap, so I have no complaint about that! I watched the meeting on the stream and was most impressed with the commentary and with the presentation. A good meeting raced on a very well prepared track, and a close scoreline from start to finish - what more could a speedway enthusiast ask?4 points

I've also said it... The minute Peter waite left is when we became vulnerable at home... It took a special team to beat us beforehand.... Peter knew others hated coming to Berwick so he kept conditions in such a particular way! We need to get a track that is conducive to racing... We need a team that can score points home and away... Not just rely on big home points cos as we've seen, when that doesn't happened... We're buggered!!4 points

What a shame there is no run-off for silver and bronze, and our German lad Norick Blödorn misses out on a medal on countback. Too bad!3 points

Id have said it was done Peters way and they could either deal with it or not! When you think of the tonkings and the teams we beat back in those days, to see us struggle as we are now is so sad I ain't giving up my support though as it does need fans when it's going through times like this... I'll go tonight and see what Glasgow do to us3 points

Statement from Connor Bailey in response to Vatcher. I feel he's been really hard done to here...! A very mature and classy statement. Shouldn't be treating our young future stars like this. Having recently become U21 British Champion and riding as well as I ever have, it’s very disappointing that I haven’t been offered a reserve spot at the upcoming Cardiff SGP. Furthermore, I feel I need to directly address the statement made by British Youth boss Neil Vatcher on the official British Speedway website earlier today, where it quoted Mr Vatcher as saying the following: “British Under-21 Champion Connor Bailey was also amongst the riders considered; however, after he turned down opportunities to represent Great Britain in the recent FIM Speedway of Nations 2, and to ride in the British Final, the decision was taken to select Anders and Jason. For clarity, I was asked to be the reserve at SoN 2 behind Dan Gilkes and Anders Rowe, both of whom I had beaten to the U21 title a couple of weeks earlier. Aside from the logistical and commercial challenges of getting to Latvia, riding at reserve would not have guaranteed that I saw much action. Regarding my invite to participate in the British Final, this invite was received at 9PM the night before the event, when I was away celebrating my 21st Birthday. Up until this point no one had mentioned to me that I might be considered for a spot in main lineup of the final. Had I had more notice of this, I would have jumped at the chance! It saddens me greatly that these two instances appear to have brought into question my commitment to speedway and have impacted my chances of taking one of the reserve spots at the Cardiff SGP in what would have been an incredible experience. Meanwhile, I would like to wish Anders and Jason the best of luck at the event.3 points

Complin doing doughnuts after coming last, so disrespectful from someone so admired from the bandits. #neverforget2 points

Are Poole fans unable to understand what “in their own hands” means? It doesn’t matter how unlikely it is.2 points

First of all I wish Connor Coles a speedy recovery on any injuries he has picked up after his accident tonight. Tonight will be my last meeting at Berwick this season, I wish them all the best in their match against Plymouth but I refuse to have £20 taken out of my pocket to be served up with beaten after beaten after beaten. The team wasn't good enough at the start of the season and is worse now.2 points

Ask Mr Barrie ,we don’t get delays at Shielfield according to him because we have 2 Ambulances.2 points

From where I was sitting at the end of the 4th corner lambert was rightly excluded, it looked like a desperate, dangerous move2 points
-
Yes, I know. But it's not good for the league to have four teams as bad as they have been this year.2 points
-
I had mixed thoughts on Lamberts exclusion, originally I put it down to Pawlicki carrying too much speed into the bend, but then there was no need for Lambert to drift so wide , and I think it ended as the correct decision. As Daz said would have been good to see a replay.2 points

The PZM is absolutely against them, even though they are (technically) legal Polish passport holders and citizens. Emil and Artem should be allowed to compete in the SGP under a neutral flag. It is a crying shame if they are not allowed back into the Grand Prix.2 points

Every team is built to the same limit. I've never known a season where 3/4 teams are so much worse than the rest in a league where should be starting on a level playing field. Even when we were rotten in early ashfield days we still won a majority of home meetings. On paper the Plymouth team was well touted this season but in reality are nowhere. If was down to money then we'd be winning everything if you want to believe that, and we win nothing so it's not all down to money imo2 points

1 league of teams with money and 1 league of teams with nae money and all in the same championship.Nothing to do with crowd size just who is lucky to have owners with deep pockets.2 points

Any team taking on Cook is a massive gamble, always misses meetings with a variety of reasons be that mental health card, dodgy van, or just doesn’t fancy it, it’s been the same for years now. They’d have been better going for someone who gives their all each meeting like Mountain and use the points elsewhere to rebuild2 points

I think we could have Bartosz Zmarzlik and still not trouble you. What we need is reserves that can win races or at least be competitive2 points

Although his time riding in England came during the Elite League/Premier League era, surely Freddie Lindgren takes first prize for the foreign rider who spent the longest time at just one club? Freddie spent 14 years at Wolves, 2003-2013 and then again 2015-2017, and only ever rode for Wolves in England. I can't think of another one club foreign rider who comes close to Freddie's loyalty to Wolves.2 points

I wouldn't disagree with you but I doubt any rider would be happy to race todays bikes as the track was back then, and to be honest we look back at those days and probably make them out to be better than they actually were. Anyway how the track was then doesn't solve todays issues. Now I am quite happy to concede the Berwick will never win the league, we just don't have enough money in the club by way of main team sponsor, race sponsor and any other kind of sponsor for that matter especially when you look at the kind of budgets other, big city, teams are working to, and most of them are failing to win the league to. So what I want is value for money, something that has been very scarce at Berwick this season, take tonight, I have not pre-bought a ticket and I am struggling to find enough reasons to go.2 points

It’s nothing to do with geography. Whoever ends up top will pick the 6th team whether that’s Edinburgh or Birmingham as they look equally vulnerable home and away2 points

It’s a shame the way things have went for Berwick this season , injuries have played a big part in how it has panned out but after witnessing their performance last night well that was shocking. The fans. deserve so much better I suppose budget has played a big part in the team assembled but certain riders based on there averages should be doing much better than they are.2 points

No doubt there will be a million and one excuses about last night's debacle at Glasgow but the bottom line is this team just isn't good enough in any way shape or form.2 points

Don't quite agree with that, for example you could be excluding a very good 22 year old (Brennan / Jenkins) because at 22 they're now considered "too old". Could also have seasons where the best juniors have gotten too old & the next lot are still NL reserves (unlikely I know). Another thought is, what about Simon Lambert, who scored 9 points in the British final & has never been wild card or reserve. Not fair to exclude him solely on age (discrimination) imo. One downside of picking riders based on who goes abroad, is how will Bailey ever get back in? Harris & Brennan have been travelling for these "lesser" events for years, so have gotten these places sewn up apparently, now Jenkins has gone abroad, he's probably next in line. If they only pick the same riders till they retire (get too old for certain events) there's not much chance for anyone else to get a look in (like Bailey)2 points

Bomber had the throttle open up scraping the fence in that heat, TB doesn't do that. Still enjoyable tonight with Complin a different rider. Expected more from Schlien.2 points

Our website inputs direct from the referees race card. As the referee has to put Nick in the first box that is what displays. You will notice the guest appears in the heats as they should. A formula we will look to change next year1 point

I expect the Russian will be allowed to ride under a neutral flag given wildcards. The same line up but change Wozniak, Kvech, Emil and Artum for Dudek, Maciej, Thomsen and Kim1 point
-
If current SGP top 6 will hold Lambert and Kvech will go through from GP challenge. I also think a Pz Pawlicki and Ledbedevs might be considered for wild cards together with Madsen and Woffinden (if he wants it). However I think Jack Holder might end outside top 6 due to injury and if so he has earned a wild card IMO.1 point

Injuries are not an excuse as all clubs have them. I can't wrap my head around signing a 7 point man on a 9.5 ish average - bad move! if you look at Berwick's cumulative finishing positions since 2005 finishing 2nd it speaks volumes. Maybe that coincided with a fairer track(2009) that away riders enjoyed rather than dreaded.1 point

No sour grapes from me and "continually criticize" is going a bit far! IF they are able to continue then all credit to them for doing so, but it seems to me that the general consensus of opinion (on here at least) seems to be they are getting it wrong on more than one level. Yes I wish things had been different at Newcastle, but they aren't. I no longer have a team to support and have to get my "fix" elsewhere, that will be Berwick or Redcar (next nearest Scunthorpe) and out of the two I know where I've been to and I travelled South, rather than North. I much prefer the racing at Redcar (my personal choice) and, to be honest, can't see that changing (due to the track constraints at Shielfield).1 point
