  1. You're needlessly slagging off his son. That makes it his business. Adam may not be your favorite rider but you are being incredibly unpleasant about it. The man already won this title once. Show some respect.

  2. I`d give it to Ritchie Worrall just to see if he had the shame to take it.

  3. I'm a massive fan of Simon Lambert what he lacks (possibly) in talent he more than makes up for in attitude, effort and commitment... there's a lot of Speedway riders (even some of the big time Charlie's) that could learn a thing or two from him!

  4. Turn it off then. Doubt there's another track in the country could've got this on after all the rain, give it chance and we could be in for a decent night's speedway.

  7. Tai will get critised either way, if he rides hes only doing it when its convenient for him, if he doesn't ride he is shunning British speedway.

  8. Remember when kenny carter rode with a broken leg in a british final! i wonder how todays injuries compare?

  9. I think that when your National Championship, (one of the few Comps with credibility in the UK), becomes very much like all the rest, in the way the promoters have to scrabble around to find riders just so as they can put a meeting on.... Then it isn't too far away from being the end of the road for the sport in this country in its current guise.. As. If you cannot even make your "flagship meeting" worth attending, then it really is time to worry.. And that is for both riders and fans... There will be some "newbies", or infrequent followers of the sport, there this evening, I am sure, who are attending without knowing who the riders even are, let alone the ones missing. And I am also sure that they will be provided with some excellent racing.. Unfortunately there wont be enough there to replace those who do follow the sport, and can see what it sadly has evolved into, and have decided to not bother.. In Poland it is ran as a bona fide sport.. In the UK it is more Sports Entertainment.. And its just a shame many won't face up to that, as there is still a huge opportunity to market yourself off the back of it...

  10. For next season he is having a personalised race suit made for every team so he fits in while guesting. He will also be using a revolutionary colour changing crash helmet so he can ride for both teams in the same meeting. The colour the helmet is when he crosses the line will decide which team he scores his points for in that heat.

  12. If every Lynn rider showed the effort, commitment, desire and application of Simon Lambert we'd be a much better side.

  14. shunned British speedway, or actually made the most of his career?

  15. Err until it suited him he did shun British Speedway just like Lambert

  16. That sounds utterly and completely ridiculous, and would destroy the sports' much respected, and hard earned, credibility status.. To allow such "contrived, made up nonsense" to happen would suggest that some haven't got a clue as to how to run and organise things... So.... When did you say it was starting.?

  17. Funny how they go on about Barker's race inferring he did something untoward, but for me her was indulging in some proper hard racing Has Scottie just said after the presentation 'he didn't really do anything he shouldn't!! Exactly!!!

  18. Absolutely. I’ve enjoyed this more than most GP’s this year. More wet tracks please!

  22. The meeting is an absolute joke, and I don't mean to insult the riders that are competing. It's going out on Discovery+/Eurosport for the world to see, and will make us a bigger laughing stock than we already are. I would image admission and programme prices have been increased, and even if I lived in Manchester, I wouldn't bother to attend this one. Just my opinion though, and I'm sure many will disagree.

  23. Line up is becoming a joke. How can the British U21 Champion who is more than holding his own in the CL be left out given the withdrawals? Given Bailey is also the Rising Star at Belle Vue his little bit ot track knowledge and with recent form he could be a spoiler in some heats. BSPA/SCB are doing their best to kill the sport

  25. You only have to see the positive impact Woffy has had on the two attendance's since riding over here, to see what a great opportunity it would be to have him and Robert Lambert in this meeting.. And, whilst you have two of the top three (by far), British riders not competing, it 1 million percent reduces the kudos of victory for who gets crowned tonight.. I am not going as the field doesn't excite me, and it is on TV so already paid for it.. However. If I could have envisaged a final with Dan, Tai and Robert in, plus head to head races through the 20 qualifying heats, then I, and I suspect many, many others, would have been there, no question... You allow Australians to riide, (insert your own Woffy joke here), and invite Div 2 second strings/reserves along to "make up the numbers' (no disrespect intended to any of them obviously)... Yet you dont go out of your way to attract a third of the worlds top nine GP riiders.....? What an opportunity to deliver a British Final worthy of the name, I suspect there wont be too many more years when this nation has 3 of the worlds best riders eligible to ride for its National title.... And, going back to " all our yesterdays", even in the "halcyon days" we didn't have 3 British riders at such a level too many times...

  26. Can't agree with you on Lambert and Woofy getting a place. If they can't be ar5ed riding in their home country why should 5hey get handed a chance to win a title at the expense of riders wh o do support the leagues. Ok Woofy is now riding over here at the business end of the season when it suits HIM just as Lambert did last season.

  27. I'm surprised they didn't learn from last year & hold the British Final early enough to allow a re-staging before Cardiff if postponed?

  42. The negativity on here is unbelievable...Dan Bewley coming in for some uncalled for comments, people moan when top class riders dont ride here, yet when they do they cop abuse! Belle Vue is by far the best track to hold this event at.....instead of the negativity turn the glass up the other way round!

  47. There's definately no published Qualification for this meeting, sounds like it was roughly made up. The SCB rulebook convienently says Qualifying criteria 'To be confirmed' with no update. If it were done on 1st August Greensheet PL averages, Craig Cook wasn't anywhere to be seen in that list, Ben Barker doesn't have a club and Simon Lambert (3.66) is lower than Danyon Hume (3.74) Zero transparency within British Speedway, and run by Chocolate fireguards. Answers on a postcard please...

  48. The idea of riders being club assets when they ride for multiple clubs and are ostensibly self-employed, is quite possibly the weirdest of speedway concepts.
