Okay, let's assume the Aussies make the final. Each of the four teams has three full-time GP riders. I know that the draw and individual race lineups will affect things, but I just worked something out simply. Let's say that every GP rider will lose to every rider above him in the standings, and beat everyone below him in the standings. So, as Number 1, Zmarzlik would be unbeaten, and Madsen (No. 7), would lose to the four above him (leaving out Lindgren and Vaculik) but beat everyone below him. This is how it would work out: POL 30 - Zmarzlik 15, Dudek 8, Janowski 7. DEN 24 - Madsen 11, Thomsen 7, Michelsen 6. GBR 35 - Bewley 13, Lambert 11, Woffinden 11. AUS 37 - Holder 14, Doyle 13, Fricke 10. So, that's just a simple rating system based on standings, but it doesn't appear to be as clear-cut as a lot of people think.4 points

Will Buster step in and buy Leicester now there up for sale ?4 points

i thought last night was 50% better than previous meeting should get even better from now. and was impressed how close some of the racing was with no major incident's, you could see the effort a lot of these riders were putting in, including Fricke, so some of you are being a bit too harsh on some of these lads.4 points

Surely you recall the Scenic Railway too, it went right past the 1st bend behind the terracing, then again I suppose if that's where you stood to watch the speedway you wouldn't have necessarily noticed it. We used to sit above the entrance to the 3rd bend, so I can remember seeing the people on the ride as the railcars went past. The Bobs were quite a scary ride back then. There were also the Suites, Windermere was one, can't remember the names of the others, the Aces end of season get-togethers were always at the Windermere Suite, seemed quite posh back then. The BLRC's were brilliant, coaches came from every club in the country, 25,000 sell-out every year, cracking atmosphere, great memories.3 points

Dare I say it would have been called off by now if its going to be? I suspect removing Laguta from the equation has made the meeting runnable.3 points

Those in glass houses, Mr. Trigger! At least Oxford take sensible options in trying to get meetings on - none which end up with the fire brigade being called! As for yesterday, there was no rain at all until 5pm and the heavy rain didn't come until after 6pm. You can't call a meeting off simply on the strength of the forecast alone, when we all know how unreliable British weather forecasts are, especially at this time of year when the weather is so changeable. Had it been belting down with rain all day, and also been forecast to rain in the evening, I'm sure they would have been an earlier call-off, as there was Oxford v Swindon right at the start of the season which was called off in the morning, but that wasn't the case. Oxford have got on at least two meetings (Cheetahs v Poole and Chargers v Leicester) when some internet "weather experts" said otherwise, and supporters know that Oxford will always put on every effort to put the meeting on. Last night didn't work out, while in other instances it has.3 points

Wroclaw is a great race track every other Sunday... When Phil and the GP/SWC team get there they work their magic... And it becomes crap.... Why is Phil directing the track prep anyway? Let the Wroclaw lads do it, like they do every fortnight...3 points

Hearing this meeting could be abandoned, Buster had warned all rider's that they must make sure every heat is a 4-2. Far to many bonus points being paid ao far It's a joke before people get their knickers in a twist2 points

Which what they should have done several years ago.. Cut their cloth accordingly... Gone are the days of any riders bringing in an extra 1000 by their appearance.. They tried to desperately cling on to massage their own egos with GP riders, whilst crowds got sick of watching Mickey Mouse competitions which were ran that way to cover the often missing stars... Post covid was a "free hit" where any standard would have delivered decent attendance's from speedway starved fans.. They had over a year to plan a "new dawn"... They didn't bother.. Let's hope whatever structure they put out has plenty of doubling and trebling up, and guest riders to keep us all enthralled, and by using that so successful operating model, it brings back the many thousands who still watch Speedway but no longer attend..2 points

Hagon came good at the u21, won couple heats beating flint. Coles not very good. That's a serious concern for me2 points

This will be the last year of the “Premiership” at least as we know it. Id advise everyone to make the most of seeing the following riders the next few weeks as it will likely be their last appearances in British League: Dan Bewley Brady Kurtz Jaimon Lidsey Emil Sayfutdinov Jason Doyle Max Fricke Artem Laguta Vadim Tarasenko Jack Holder Tobiasz Musielak I would be very surprised to see anything other than Championship standard teams. Older riders on their way down, British riders and upcoming youngsters seem to be the way forward. Perhaps a north and south divide with a play-off system between both.2 points

Well he supposedly has a wrist injury from a meeting he top scored in. But he's probably on holiday like quite a few of the riders due to SWC. At least Wolves were upfront about their situation.2 points

The best team manager for me isn't someone who wins everything. It's about getting performance above & beyond the rider's capabilities. Obviously we're all slightly biased but Rob Lyon is exactly that guy. Very good tactically too. Unfortunately, because of the 'Rising Star' system tactics are less available. Should still be the Great Britain manager imo. By far the worst Team Manager is Mark Lemon. Still absolutely clueless at decision making for both Belle Vue & Australia2 points

It'll never get the backing from fans though. It would always have to be Leicester2 points

You can when the met office are saying 90-95% chance of heavy rain from 6pm -2am. Was never going to be on. But I guess the admission policy makes it so that Oxford will never do an early call off imo.2 points

Having 3 world class riders should be enough to win if the team managers use their brains and apply the Czech's policy. Move Dan to reserve and put Tom at 2. Tom & Adam take their first ride then are replaced by Dan. If we fall 6 points behind the leader then Tai or Robert can take a tactical ride. There's only 20 heats, six rides each for the top 3 only leaves two to be ridden by Adam and Tom. Challenging for Gold then maybe Tom & Adam have to take a second ride in rounds 4 or 5 ie heats 13-202 points

It could be a Stuart Dickson masterplan!.Keep him suspended and get better riders to guest for Brummies to help get Top 6 place.!!2 points

yes i would agree that the track hasn't cut up, however the entertainment served up because of track preparation has been poor, very poor. Ata the end of the day what is the point of holding the event if people aren't being entertained?2 points

Don't worry Leicester fans Buster Chapman will step in and buy the club , he's a multi millionaire who owns 2 other well run and profitable speedway clubs and is honest to the core , everyday is such a fun day with Buster as the owner and the pits gate hinge gets replaced on a regular basis even if its not really needed .2 points

First initial thoughts. Worrying times for my club and I didn't see this coming. Let's hope a buyer is sorted. I stand with Dave Helmsley near enough every week and he's still passionate about the club so maybe he can pull a few strings and get a few parties interested. From the statement it sounds like the club on/off the track is doing fine which may encourage a new buyer. I don't think it's making huge sums of money but I think it's certainly manageable compared to other clubs. I kind of have mixed feelings on the whole situation really. I don't really know what to make of it. It says it's down to health reasons and if so it's the right call and health comes first. But it just seems odd to me. The questions I have in my head right are ones I will have to be patient with. Is there more to this than meets the eye? Is it current state of British speedway played a factor that's encouraged this decision? Has the change of race night cost the club money? Who is interested in buying the club ? Are we about to lose another club ? What can the supporters do to help? If any people inside the club that are on this forum please let us know of anything we can do to support the lions. And no I'm not going to buy the club even though I think about every day if I won the euro millions!2 points

The primary concern for the organisers is making sure the events go ahead - it's a commercial enterprise. I'm not surprised the track has been very hard and slick, it would cost a lot of money to rearrange. Even though it was a very slick I did enjoy it because it was unpredictable at times and we got to see some new faces mixng it up. I wonder if Aus will give Chris Holder a ride or two on Friday, couldn't be worse than Fricke surely? As for the scores display, I thought it was good to see both the team scores in the bottom right and the individual rider scores, something i'd be looking at had I had a programme.2 points

While yes, It's hard to know the motives of anyone who enters the arena at any sports event during play, it's obvious that this guy's motive, while worse for drink, was to gloat & wave his scarf at the opposing fans after the event. He's wearing a tight fitting T shirt, football shorts, trainer socks & trainers, so hardly able to conceal a knife about his person, or brandish one with a scarf wrapped around both wrists. You have to ask yourself, if security had got to the scene before Tai's intervention, would they have have upended the guy from behind in that manner? If the answer's no, then ask yourself why? Don't get me wrong, if I'd have been in that crowd, I'd have laughed & cheered at the spectacle too, so I'm not being all Mr Outraged of Purley here, but being objective, I consider it was a stupid, dangerous & unnecessary thing to do. When you consider the element of surprise and the fact that the guy had his hands in the air, joined together by a scarf, which would affect his ability to break his fall, it could have ended a lot worse. So what was Tai's motivation here? a) This guy could have a weapon and potentially pose a threat to my fellow riders and the public. I need to neutralise this threat ASAP. Or b) I'll teach this guy a lesson & give me mates a good laugh at the same time. Does anyone sincerely believe it was a)?2 points

There seems to not be any need to even break even for many... Writing it off as part of a wider umbrella business seems to be quite the norm.. The biggest thing I find baffling is that some will lose six figure sums trying to win something that their very own operating model condemns to being pretty much irrelevant... Maybe pooling such huge investment into the collective greater good would see them all prosper? Trying to out do each other to win something so few care about, and spending well over a million collectively to do it, is an incredible plan.. That level of huge yearly collective investment should see the sport move forward season on season, not regress.. Rinsing and repeating, and lurching from one "most important AGM ever" to the next "most important AGM ever", 12 months later, surely must, (by definition of always using that phrase as they seem to always do), eventually have them thinking " we need another plan"...2 points
