  1. Good morning Glasgow riders and welcome to Mission Impossible . Your assignment , should you choose to accept it , is eight five ones , five four twos and a three three , just to take the pressure off heat 15 . Should this task be achieved , this page will self destruct in five seconds. Good luck men

  2. Glasgow fans don’t rise to the forum troll … we had lots of it when Poole were in the top league from Shovlar Poole fans are called blue tints for a reason …. They don’t think speedway exists outside of Poole and can’t take any form of criticism at all …. Im an Ipswich fan and I know our track isn’t close to being one of the best … we get the odd good meeting but on the whole it’s average racing … it’s my club but I can accept the issues Poole is known as an average track and is a gaters paradise hence they have riders like Worrall and Lawson who are good riders but are basically gaters ……. The problem is the Poole fans won’t accept it they can’t believe that any track is better ….. it’s obvious to any speedway fan that Glasgow is a couple of levels above Pooles track same as it is a couple of levels above my track at Ipswich When Poole was top league everytime sky went there it was awful bumpy racing yet we was told it was superb every other week ….. funny when BSN are there it’s awful yet we are told it’s superb …. Yawn

  4. Chuffed with this and shows they have one eye on 2024, which must be a positive. Perfect time to bring him in as well. Effectively he can come in with no pressure, get used to UK tracks and get experience in readiness for next season.

  7. It probably affected our lads more tonight. I have no idea why they keep tinkering with the track early part of the season it was the same most weeks, lately it has been prepared differently from one meeting to the next. Congratulations to Poole they done the hard work in the first leg they set the bar most seasons.

  10. Did Cammy get his photograph taken with the trophy before the meeting started? It's the closest he's liable to get to a cup

  11. Surely any chance to watch speedway at the worlds greatest track for the locals is a must. It’s not all about the trophies well so they tell you.

  15. Everyone's point is there is no-one to replace complin!!! He would be a 5, complin is a 4, we can only do like for like swaps as we've told you countless times. If you want to replace nowak absolutely fine but you're continual gripe is complin and he wouldn't fit!!! Also maybe since your rant is at Poole stick it in the Poole Glasgow thread

  16. Though I just saw Shergar but I think it was Lee Complin riding it.Unfortunately

  18. Decent enough meeting, Scunny might feel slightly hard done by but think just about a fair result. Heat 15 was a cracker, think Wright would have got Douglas anyway but will never know! Wright excellent for Bears and good to see Riss get back to something like we know he can. Could tell how much that heat win meant to him. Bailey keeps getting better and better, paid 10 riding at three is excellent return. Edwards blowing a bit hot and cold at the minute, but big ride in heat 14. Harrison is very much on the pace and getting better with every ride - reminds me a bit of early season Mulford where givong everyone 30 yards at the start but that will come. Encouraging to see him out straight after the meeting with King helping him out. Douglas excellent got Scunny as always, Allen started slowly but came to the party and Mountain also good value, thankfully for us Lambert had a poor night!

  20. Given the way cami went on at Poole this had to be meeting of the year, unfortunately it's the worst of the season so far. Obviously Poole fans were going to stick boot in. Just take it as banter, no point getting worked up

  21. Very poor meeting so far. Very slick and one line. Did Poole's track man prepare it tonight

  25. R/R is the best option for Schlein in my opinion. When you think that Leon, Jye and TJ are going to be able to cover a ride each, there aren’t many riders eligible to guest that are better than those 3 track specialists. 47-43 to the Bandits tomorrow night I reckon, the start of our playoff charge!

  26. People need to really understand that Wimborne Road is a great racetrack. We witness brilliant racing virtually every week, except perhaps when Glasgow are in town. If racing was so processional we wouldn’t get a crowd. Berwick put up a far better fight last week. I go home and away and have visited every Championship club with the exception of Edinburgh and Redcar. I was at Birmingham on Wednesday and the racing was pretty dire. Poole is better than the majority of tracks in the U.K., with perhaps the exception of a few.

  29. Playing the skint card leaving panthers with no number 1 all season and now nearly 5 points under the limit

  30. Therein lies a very big problem, every home match this season it has been different. Riders have no home advantage as they start with settings that worked previously that are then useless. They end up chasing them and after 8 heats normally miles behind. Not helping themselves as a club at all.

  32. Some of the rules for next week. Tac Subs can be used when a team is 6 points or more behind the leading team up to and including heat 16. Each rider can take just 1 ride. Heats 17-20 are nominated heats and team managers can put their riders in any heat(1 ride only). The team in 4th place at the end of 16 heats nominates 1st, then team in 3rd, then 2nd and finally the leading team.

  33. Personally I think it's good to see this kind of signing again... which seems to have been sadly missing since Covid/Brexit. A lot of the riders that were coming over here in the past now opt for the Polish U24 league, Aussies included.

  35. The best I can come up with for right now is Sam McGurk. He’s not an upgrade in my eyes. Would he be worse? People will differ on that. One thing that was pointed out to me is, we have 8 Championship matches left. You only want a replacement to ride in 7 matches, because that way, they are still on an assessed average at the start of next season. So, if management want to make a replacement, it would make sense after the next Championship fixture, to allow more options for next year, and for a replacement to build form this year. Realistically, it’s only worth the risk for a rider you want to sign for next year.

  36. I do feel for Panthers fans you’ve had a rough season - but in Busters defence he owns kings Lynn the promotion and the stadium -Pboro he just owns the promotion and the stadiums future is up in the the air with no certainty it be available for 2024 - so if any of you was Buster what you do ? It obvious at this point he’s got to favour KL

  37. He has been busy behind the scenes. He may well have someone willing to help him out and back him, like you have in MT, who knows. It could be one of many things. Picko and Fred should of freed up some funds, and if Emil is here with next year in mind, he might not be a dear as people think. A deal could of been done while he gets some experience of the UK tracks. If that is the case, then that's a good deal imho.

  38. Get your boy MT to get his chequebook out then

  39. I had the feeling that when the Kings Lynn v Panthers meeting was postponed last week, Kings Lynn were basically cheating. Their new signing just in time for both meetings next week reinforces this belief for me.

  40. Well at least they got enough to fill a race at the Isle of Wight Nora version, but less than last years effort. Well done to the winner, Katie Gordon, by far the best lady racer we currently have in the UK.

  42. They really need to get the track the same or very similar every week, all this chopping and changing helps nobody and isn't really good enough to be honest.

  46. Decided to come over for this one to help Buster in his "hour of need" and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it (we did win though!), there was a sprinkling of passing thanks mainly to Bomber and Lambert but the racing was generally fast and close, which will do me. Not sure about @Mimmo's take on Heat 4 as Kemp seemed to go down on his own for me and got up and cleared the track. Seems to me that a lot of KL fans don't know what they've got, an excellent facility for Speedway, a good race track, not as good as it used to be admittedly, with great viewing from anywhere in the stadium... you're just one rider short of a half decent team, the trouble is that rider is often different from match to match
