Surely this topic has run it's course now folks. I hope Artem Laguta remains with us, but of course I fear he won't, as I would imagine he must be expensive. Whether you like or dislike Keith Chapman, he's trying to find a way of keeping our club running beyond this season, and we should be supporting him in those efforts, not slagging him off all the time for what he may, or may not have been doing to our liking in the past, and even now. It's obvious that he's buying time whilst he can find a buyer for the speedway club instead of taking the easy way out, and withdrawing us from the league. So surely he deserves the support of all true King's Lynn fans to encourage him, whilst the search continues. It's a terrible shame that Alex had to leave due to his personal situation at the moment, even though his departure was ill timed, but we can't change what has happened, we can only encourage what might happen going forward. Considering what they have done for Glasgow speedway that is a very poor comment considering you claim your Team is Glasgow, you wouldn’t be watching speedway in Glasgow in great surroundings and great track to watch the sport if it wasn’t for Faccena’s.7 points

I don't think he's ever denied his allegiances towards Australia has he? He literally spends all winter in Australia guiding a lot of these kids - yet you expect him to give his money to a British kid he's never worked with before?5 points

Wish the Facenas were running Panthers. Improving the stadium every year, & putting very competitive teams out. Would have a few more trophies if they had a bit more luck with injuries as well, in my opinion.4 points

One thing I’ve noticed since I stuck my head back in here recently is that in the main it’s similar names with the same points they had years ago, harking back to the 80s and before. Not criticism, observation. Things often look better in hindsight but the good old days haven’t become the 2000s or 2010s. That says a lot about the state of the sport then, and how it is now. Why aren’t people harking back to the glory days of the Premier League reserves being given grades instead of averages for one season, what about the momentous decision to throw third tier riders into the top division as “fast track” reserves? Or when the Elite and Premier Leagues were rebranded the Premiership and Championship? In reality things are even worse now. The sport is dying out with its fans. The slide needed arresting two decades ago, it’s even more imperative now. But while self interest rules the day it’s a case of squeezing every last penny out of an old nag before taking it to the glue factory.4 points

Nowhere better for racing in the UK. Consistently at least the second-best team in the Championship. Constantly improving the stadium and attracting FIM events. Some people talk a lot of bitter rubbish.3 points

While we all now think we should be winning something with the teams we've had, try to remember after 2014 we were nearly gone altogether..and pre 2014, 2011 apart wasn't much to shout about round ashfield. It's night and day in terms of success and entertainment3 points

Full marks to the Ipswich promotion in carrying out the remedial work to the track to get the meeting restarted again, and it looked as though the racing actually improved after the work for those riders that wanted to mix it. Listening to Adam Roynon on the BSN stream it's easy to see how some riders can talk themselves out of wanting to continue, he was doing this even from the commentary box and then when the racing restarted Keynan Rew immediately raced his way past Brady Kurtz. I hope the Sheffield promotion were watching last night on what to do after a rain shower and not just pull the plug and go home!3 points

Oh come on what decisions did he have to make at the Pairs apart from what side of the podium to stand on for photographs and in all honesty a manager isn't really wanted in that photograph. The only thing he'll win is the title of most photographed manager2 points

I watched this meeting as a neutral observer whilst on holiday in the area. I have seen many meetings a Wimborne Road over the past 30 years and I have been a speedway fan for over 60 years. Firstly, in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with the shape of the track although the racing surface could be improved. Prior to the first heat I noticed that on the first bend there was virtually no shale on the inside section with the dirt "heaped" along the perimeter. This was probably to accommodate the home riders who prefer the track prepared in this way. There is nothing wrong with this home advantage procedure - it is the same technique at most tracks. Secondly, the track grading appears to be inadequate. The "tiny" blade used hardly touches the track surface - a proper revolving grader should be used to eliminate any ruts. Len Silver could advise on the use of this type of grader and track preparation in general!! A few years ago I did see the famous "hole" on the entry to the first bend which seemed to appear after a few races. I thought that this had been resolved until I saw Tom Brennan hit the hole/ridge and take off into the fence. Proper track grading should have eliminated any such ruts or waves. It was evident after the first four heats that the away team were not using correct gearing or "set-ups" and were consistently out-gated. Apart from the machinery the Poole riders were certainly up for this contest and had a winning mentality. Overall, the performance of the away riders was disappointing. I was impressed with the tenacious riding of Lee Complin last year at Poole when he was riding for Newcastle but he seemed to be a shadow of the rider I saw last year. It did occur to me that he had some machine problems which may have contributed to his poor performance but this is only conjecture on my part.2 points

Real shame the weather looks against us for this one, looks like a cracker of a double header on paper. Bandits are looking a much improved side the last couple of meetings pushing both Oxford and Poole as hard as anyone else in the league has so far, not to mention some exciting opposition especially Ben Barker. The Bullets with Steve Boxall, wow now that is something to get excited about. The National League meetings at Berwick never disappoint. Excellent idea by the promotion to give you a free programme with your e ticket, that coupled with the free car park and the discount really means it’s a fantastic night out at the speedway. Come on weather, do us a favour and keep the rain away.2 points

Just sit in your car in the large free car park and watch all the other cars leaving. You'll see more passes there than you will at the meeting and it won't cost a penny.2 points

Scunthorpe are Unique in one of the only teams in the country that has the freedom of running any night of the week if they had to with them owning their own track and the track not been near no housing2 points

I clearly stated that I was including all OFFICIAL fixtures. Of course they count, I never claimed to be restricting my analysis just to matches counting for GSA. General rule of statistics, the more data you use the better. I have simply used more of the available data.2 points

Some would say not a lot of worth,,, some would say he's done okay,,, last night his worth wasn't as good as it should have been given the track conditions,, he used to love a dodgy track blasting round the fence2 points

How is this even a debate? If the stream doesn't work, of course you should get a refund. I know some people will take the stance that Birmingham need every penny, etc., but requesting a refund for a broken stream isn't going to keep them going! What might just keep them afloat is good customer service. They should be refunding customers (and apologising) for the issues immediately. Then they'll eventually reap the rewards of that customer coming back and buying the stream again another day, and the day after that, and the day after that. Keep customers happy, and they'll spend money again on another occasion. Upset them, and they probably won't. Simples.2 points

I would certainly prefer if you stuck with Edinburgh as it seems all the teams you’ve supported in the past are now defunct….so all us happy fans up here are quite glad you can’t stand Glasgow….lol..2 points

Not sure 'cheat' is the right terminology ? unless the banned substance is classed as a performance enhancer ? i.e weed/coke etc.... would impede has opposed to improve? So, I'd class the culprit as 'irresponsible' ? However, I guess there could be an arguement, for the fact that getting banned, Morris cheated fans out of £20 on Wednesday ?2 points

Not so. If new face is a trainee, he/she will be in box with the senior official, and may be invited to take control of some races under guidance. Once test has been passed, the new referee has a probationary period during which the senior referee will be present in stadium, but not usually in the box, assessing performance from various points during the meeting.2 points

The decision to go with the two weakest options to replace Jack Thomas is unforgivable & really should have some explanation as to why those choices were made. It was always going to be a tough first year for Rew although this week he has looked a better rider. Definitely worth keeping & must be in the team next year. He is the type of rider we need young & hungry. King well my own personal opinion he should have been no where near Ipswich in 23. Far to inconsistent & given the amount of time spent at Foxhall his inability to ride it at times in amazing. Time & time again rides the wrong lines that clearly aren’t working & is beaten/passed by riders who he should be showing a clean pair of heels to at home. Riss has been unfortunate with the illness that has struck him, however he should have been replaced by now as clearly isn’t up to it & isn't fit. Hume is a great little rider gives it 100% & gets stuck in unlike some. He has had way to much pressure put on his shoulders because of the Thompson & Riss scenario. Emil & Jason what can you say…….pure class pure entertainment. I’d love to see both or at least one back again next year although let’s be honest the state of the league may dictate that doesn’t happen.2 points

I think Skidder May be referring to the fact that, although named in the programme as the meeting referee, Chris Gay was monitoring and assessing the performance of probationary referee Simon Smith who took full control of the meeting. Chris was not always in the referees box and indeed chose to observe from different locations whilst always being in contact with Simon.2 points

Couldn't have put it any better myself. It seems many promotions Habe the attitude of "turn up or you'll lose it" rather than providing an exciting product, offering value for money & budgeting expenses based on crowd levels!2 points

Strictly slightly going off thread but I wish Dennis McCleary all the best and a big turn out for his testimonial game this Saturday, I think it fair to say had it not been for Dennis the Bandits and the Rangers would be in a sorry mess. https://www.berwickspeedway.com/news/back-dennis-big-day/2 points

I watched the stream last night as there was no stream at Oxford where my team was riding. I didn't get full access until heat 9 but I must say the entertainment in those last 7 heats was better than a lot of full matches I've watched this season. I've since watched the whole match using the 'rewind' function and it also included most of the previous year's match against Glasgow. I also got a reply to my email about the problem. I definitely feel I got value for the £11.99 I paid and won't be asking for a refund. I watch a lot of speedway using streaming services and most, if not all, run into technical problems now and again. It's usually outwith their control and they try their best to sort the situation as quickly as possible. I'm just happy I can see so much speedway these days - I'm old enough to remember having to wait until the following morning to buy a Daily Mirror to find out how your team got on the previous night.2 points
