What's King done wrong tonight.Scored above his average, away from home against a strong Sheffield side.7 points

Gary Flint is also on the Promotion at Berwick though.Cami just counts the Tigers riders before the meeting.7 points

What is it with Ritchie Hawkins? He's got a face like a slapped arse half the time and doesn't seem to like eye contact... is he the inspiration you need in the pits when the chips are down? I don't know6 points

Fair point, I like all forms of cricket but you just can't beat a good test match and all three Ashes tests have been very good so far.5 points

Having attended this meeting yesterday, it knocked spots off anything I've seen in the past few years at either Championship or Premiership level. The racing was simply top draw, with not a single poor heat amongst fifteen. Dayle Wood of Edinburgh is certainly one for the future, and although only scoring three points, William Richardson for the home side looks raw, but the makings are there. I've seen a few National Development League meeting this year, and in my opinion, it's on a different planet to the other two leagues with it's sheer entertainment. Thank you to both clubs, brilliant.5 points

Scares the s**t out of me. Looks like he's permanently pi**ed off and about to produce an axe4 points

Poor from Emil... He should have got off his bike at the end of lap one, and let the Tigers come past... Then got back on it again when Doyley eventually had caught up to him... And then, whilst riding side by side with Jason, agree by pointing out to him which of the two Tiger's they would pass to win the bonus point...4 points
-
So he was supposed to slow up and let one of the Sheffield boys go past? Emil did the right thing4 points
-
2 good Premiership matches tonight, just what the sport needed after another week of bad news4 points

Emil is different class. Pleasure watching him over here this year hopefully comes back next year. One of my all time favourite riders to watch oozes class.4 points

Retire is a bit extreme. Should sit out the season and get fully fit.4 points

Glasgow haven't had a single league match on it so far. We had BSN semi's and final and that's been it far as I know. Only home match been Scunthorpe so think you're a little misguided there4 points

I've always loved cricket - playing and watching Perhaps you need a certain intellect to get it Sorry Baldy and Arch4 points

I think it's more a matter of he's got talk back going on in his ear the whole time, he's commentating on his own and he's got to keep on taking all the time... and that's not easy... easy for people to criticise though... all the bloody time, on here... even though we can all hear it!!3 points

Yes it is a fact, but many people have speech/facial problems, tourettes facial tics,Bell's palsy, nervous speech etc do you constantly take the piss out of them.If you do you're pretty low.3 points

Wasting your breath, Blobby likes to throw out the odd soundbite then sits back waiting on the replies. He then logs back in after watching series 1 off cocomelon to see how many have insulted him.3 points

Have to agree totally with you. It's like someone taking the piss out of people with speech impediments,or someone that has a tick.I bet those people aren't perfect themselves that keep on about Tatum. He's not my cup of tea but i wouldn't take the mickey like that week in week out.3 points

About as annoying as reading about it on here!3 points

I don't like Buster at all but I don't want to see British Speedway lose anymore clubs. The sport in this country is in a bad enough state as it is, I hope everything works out well for KL in the end.3 points
-
Unfortunately you two are letting your dislike of Keith Chapman get in the way of sensible suggestion and debate.....the club is working with and not against the BSPL and keys not forget that the person who was running and funding the team has walked away half way through the season due to personal reasons, other than seeing the club shut down for the year I don't really know what the alternative is. You are right the fans are suffering but I don't see how deducting points and awarding meetings helps anybody least of all loyal supporters. The priority has to be getting through this season and coming back stronger in 2024 whoever that is under. Highly unlikely to be Buster, he wants to hand over the reins and retire, good job he hasn't decided to do that already and has instead stepped into the breach to try and keep the Stars going.3 points

Like all sports it's about the integrity and the meaningfulness of winning, if Speedway had a fraction of the integrity of Ashes Test Cricket or Major Championship Golf and the history behind them the terraces would be packed3 points

Your loss....once again this Ashes has been the greatest of sporting theatre.3 points

I agree, boring to keep reading it during and after every meetng he does.2 points

Said it before but let’s say it again if there is any chance two changes have got to be made. The injury to Thomas pre season was a major blow but to replace him twice with the weakest options was & still is baffling. Add in the issues with Riss it’s certainly been a tough one!2 points
-
Totally agree Hume wouldn’t have beat either Tiger but might have caused trouble out the gate and make one make a mistake you never know2 points
-
Emil and Rew apart this is a shocking performance… Doyle isn’t quick tonight.. King can’t win races Riss painful to watch And nothing from the reserve berth Why are we so painfully slow to make team changes we always seem to loyal to riders We have 2 of the worlds best spearheading us and yet we aren’t going to get close to the play offs and the buck stops with the crap team building2 points

The gripe, at least mine is, more at the production for not getting him help. There's no doubt he's good on co coms but can't do it all on his own2 points

They pretty much start every meeting thread, so they can drop their holier than now cack in there somewhere.2 points

Maybe looks better that's about it though. Just noticed that there are more Poole fans than Plymouth or Glasgow on their match thread. Is this a usual occurrence on here .2 points

Hoping for an Ipswich win, howzat from a Lynn fan2 points

Sorry to interrupt this fascinating cricket forum, but any news on the weather from Sheffield? My radar app has it raining there at the moment (2pm.)2 points

To be honest, I’ve never really got the thing about team managers having a massive influence on performance. I would say Glasgow’s team presently consists of extremely motivated riders. It’s not like they’re not trying their best so don’t see what difference a different manager would make. There’s a lot of Cami haters on this forum, so I doubt you will get an overall fair opinion.2 points

Thought it was a good compromise myself! Or you could watch the highlights show on BBC2 as only an hour. Tbf I only watch the England matches. Don't watch county cricket. Maybe I should as I hear Hampshire are pretty decent atm!2 points
-
Maybe those if you not into cricket should start off with the T20 matches, before writing it off completely. More exciting for some as less time to get runs.2 points

It baffles me how the very same riders can follow all orders in Poland, then, sometimes the very next day, ignore them over here.. I can only presume it is down to the threat of any consequence being more unlikely.. Let's hope all refs follow this one, and all remain consistent in approach.. If they do, very quickly, meetings will run much smoother..2 points

TMS and the highlights of this Ashes series have been the best way to get the fantastic atmosphere.2 points

Personally I wasn’t really sure what to expect away from home but I did think he would do better at Ashfield, pretty inconsistent. Beats a heat leader one heat then finishes behind a reserve the next. Up until the Poole meeting he had won a heat at every away track he’d visited this season. I’d hazard a guess that he’s the only number 2 in the league to have done that. We’ll see how he gets on this week at Plymouth & Birmingham.2 points
-
It wouldn’t. Ged was clear that we would continue to race in the second tier if no sale took place.2 points

You can add me to the non cricket fan list. Caught a bit whilst channel flicking and when the cameras panned around the crowd there’s people there sipping their pimms and reading books. Tells you everything really.2 points

I’d rather pinch some of Baldy’s pins than watch that dross. Could never understand people finding a sport like this entertaining. Most of the players standing around with their arms folded while the bowler takes what seems like an hour to bowl the bloody ball before the batsman gently blocks it, play stops, the ball makes it way back to the bowler (eventually) who then takes another hour to bowl it again. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. Great “theatre” that. Do they still stop for “tea” as well? They need it to be fair with all that exerted energy.. Cricket is obviously a popular sport so I’m clearly missing something, I just don’t know what it is! Not knocking you or anyone else who loves it, each to their own of course. A good friend of mine loves watching Golf and will be glued from start to finish when the tournaments are on. I can understand enjoying playing it, but as a spectator sport? Never understood that either. Just not enough fast paced action for me.2 points
