If she is the short fat ugly lady that looks like a baboons behind,,, think that's my twin sister. Wonky hair and curly teeth. Once upon a time she used to be my identical twin brother9 points

The meeting started bang on time. The two minutes for heat 1 went up at 19:28. There was no grading after heat 4. There was a very quick grade after heat 7. Everything else is in the control of the referee. He didn't dither either. There were two stoppages for Scunthorpe riders who hit the deck. And the Glasgow riders were at tapes first in every heat. Heat 9, Scunthorpe the Scunthorpe riders both appeared on track with 6 seconds on the clock. But somehow the promoters are at fault. There was no issue with the running of the meeting.5 points

When it was two missing Danes for Glasgow, a single white cloud in the forecast was enough to call off the meeting against Oxford. When it's Scunny who are missing a Dane, several cats and dogs in the forecast are permitted5 points

Transcript of phone call BSPL - Hi Emil Emil - Hi BSPL - for the pairs we pay £400 Emil - per point? BSPL - no its a fixed fee Emil - ........ BSPL - hello , are you still there? Line - boooooooooop4 points

"Interesting" selection for the Pairs... Must have been a close call... Personally, I think Emil and Doyley probably would have just shaded it for me..... Edit: A bit surprised also that Artem didn't make the KL selection... Shows just what a high quality meeting it must be when those three riders cannot get chosen...4 points

It’s one of those days when it’s hard to know what the best course of action is. If they call it off now, and the predicted rain after 6pm arrives, it probably looks a good decision. If that rain doesn’t come, the rest of the predicted rain during the day wouldn’t be enough. So would it be better to risk looking silly calling off a dry evening, or losing out financially going ahead with a meeting that doesn’t get completed? People will throw stones either way…4 points

I don't know why you keep banging on about it..you seem desperate for your beloved Buster not to be at fault..we all know now where his priorities lie..I'm sure there are legal matters that need to be adhered to which I'm hoping is the reason we have heard nothing from the guy you keep trying to dig out.4 points

A very handy result for the Bates franchises to keep them both fully involved in the play-off picture.4 points

To put it bluntly, as Henry's Dad wasn't the team manager, who cares if he wanted more rides for Henry. Just because a rider doesn't get their own way, no reason to quit the club?4 points

Surely with this terrible forecast the meeting should be off ? Or are the Tiggers at full strength ?3 points

Now I know this is the BSF and people never let fact stand in the way of posting, so I will nip this in the bud by using WEF figures. Average 2023 UK salaey $52278 v $16261 in Poland. Also factory in the money from the local council plus their broadcast deal. Its like prem football. They do not need the ticket revenue to survive.3 points

Disagree a little, Anders would cost more than Edwards. Replacement was needed for Jakobsen & on current form (as strange as it sounds) Lambert could be better. This team has improved imo3 points

Hope so....pointless being in the top league if you can't be competitive, and we haven't been since 2018.3 points

They are now....but not sure you would have said that at the start of the season, though. Masters speaks for himself, but Nicholls and Atkins have far exceeded what was expected of them in my opinion - and Jenkins is also improving every week. On the flip side you'd have to say Howarth, Worrall and Barker have all underperformed.3 points

Many was the time when United were crap I would seek out Fergie after the match... Cannot believe he was never there to talk to me to tell me his plans to turn it around...3 points

He is. Much as I loathed him as a team manager, no one, even me, can deny the vast amount of very good work he does in all other areas. Laurence was not only instrumental in getting the current consortium together, thus ensuring we are still in existence but, is a key cog in helping the directors keep the ship afloat. having said that, my views on him as a team manager, are well documented.. the phrase I’ve often used, is .. “he’s tactically an inept Buffon”. he’s in the background now. Let’s hope he stays there2 points

You seem to have it in for Garry May, just how much do you class as a tidy sum,how do you know he gets paid and who told you? Garry is very popular with the Plymouth fans gets on well with Mark and doesn't get paid anything more than a mars bar after the meeting, Garry has put some ££towards sponsorship aswell. He's not in the same league as Laurence Rogers when it comes to bleeding clubs dry i suggest you get your own house in order rather than talking bull**** about something you have no knowledge of.2 points

Brilliant final heat with Cierniak missing the gate it gave the others opportunities to win the round, but it just seemed to be a night when Cerniak could do anything he wanted. Hope he goes on to win the series.2 points

Also remember, there were quite a few heats with away riders running consecutive heats, so the referee had to make an allowance for that. Even then, he didn't give them long.2 points

He is not refusing. He was never contracted to ride in the Pairs even when it got reduced to just the one micky mouse meeting!2 points

It's not to hard to think about it really. Someone wanting out and allegedly wanting to take a back seat always seems to throw a spanner in the works for unconfirmed reasons just when it appears that someone is doing a good job for the club and its supporters, outside of just running and making up the numbers, which is a worthy achievement in itself requiring credit none the less.2 points

Rowe is one of the two best RS's in the league on paper, he will score more than Edwards home and away... and will Lambert score more than Jakobsen had done this season? Definitely imo2 points
-
Exactly, not the most inspirational signings... but those meetings that we've been losing 46-44 or 47-43 recently could quite possibly turn into wins now with the changes made2 points
-
I agree - they might not be the most inspirational signings but they should both outperform the rider they are replacing2 points
-
Personally, imo I don't think the changes are too bad at all. Obviously we knew Simon Lambert was coming in (that was a given), but for Buster to actually be proactive and get Rowe in for a struggling Jason Edwards is quite forward thinking. I rate him as probably the 2nd or 3rd best RS so it's quite a coup tbh. I don't know what Jakobsen was on (£), but that certainly has relieved some budgetary issues. The unfortunate thing is we still have a massive hole at No.5, and as good as Laguta is and Klindt has been recently you can only potentially rely on them to get 6 to cover MPT, especially when I think Klindt is about to move to 2nd in the averages so only he can take a ride if we use R/R. I wouldn't be comfortable running guests either, but either way our season is already over so what's the difference. Kye will definitely find it hard at 2 if that's where he's going, but that is the price we pay by getting in Laguta I suppose2 points
-
I feel for Edwards but it's definitely the right move bringing Rowe in, Jason was clearly struggling... and will Simon score more than Fred had this season? Definitely! Positive changes imo2 points
-
Problem being though if Pboro and Wolves don’t carry on in 2024 there will be no PL anymore if KL drop out as well not sure if that’s a good thing or not - but it might make the powers that sort this sport out once and for all . They had a chance to do this after the covid season but no carried on with the same old - so it might brings things to a head and force some peoples hand2 points

Please..please someone tell us what the f... is going on. Another thrashing yesterday and another one coming up on Monday. Still no team changes...the worst performing captain in the league by a mile who should have been gone months ago. Yet K/L sign Lambert who would do better than Andersen anywhere at the moment. This is by far worse than the David Hawkins era.. FFS Management Talk to Us.2 points

Not sure who you mean, but I'd guess someone like Ben Trigger (who won a meeting in Belgium last season), or Sam Hagon (who I saw in the Golden Ribbon at Pardubice last year). And I'd reiterate that they almost certainly benefitted from their experiences. What would improve matters would be a Championship set up that made it easier for the likes of Trigger and Hagon to step up from the NDL.2 points

But Oxford built their team in exactly the same way, and they are sitting in the exact opposite position having won every league meeting. Proves it wasn't a bad philosophy at the start of the season and it could have worked, but rider form is the issue.2 points
