  1. First one through the turnstiles I think

  2. We're all bored of your anti Buster crusade, stop polluting threads with it, go and make your own thread somewhere and leave us all alone. Agree. I started watching about an hour behind so have only just read the thread and it's full of absolute garbage. Thought that was a pretty good meeting, we are obviously struggling this season so all you can ask is for the team to give it their all and show some fight, and they did that. Unfortunately Laguta was never going to carry on after getting a knock but he was fully committed on track. Riss was either uninterested or unfit, you feel with a half decent guest we would have won that.

  3. I think he means there was good racing but the camera man kept missing it

  4. bitching dont look good cant we just enjoy the meeting

  5. Heat 1 should've been awarded. Laguta was never making up the ground.

  6. OK, Can we all just like this post and then we can all move on with the meeting tonight... Yes if you've got Sky Q you've also got the Discovery+ app with Sports Yes Eurosport is a joke Yes the camera angles are crap Yes Tatum is Good/Crap (delete as appropriate) Yes they missed that pass Yes King's Lynn is not as good a race track as it used to be, because of the surface Yes why aren't they televising the Belle Vue match (every week!) Yes Buster is Satan/God, again delete as appropriate etc. etc.

  7. I think the majority are happy, but the realists amongst us can see that the chances of a trophy this year are none existent. Racing wise you will not get better racing anywhere else than what we get to see every Friday night.

  8. Well done Birmingham your owner said things will change he’s been proactive I hope it works out for him.

  9. Right... just read so many negative comments on here tonight for what was a perfectly good speedway meeting, with some good racing once the track settled, some questionable refereeing decisions and very nearly another super heat. Eurosport is what it has always been... it ain't never gong to change and the sooner people realise this the better for all of us that have to read the same old crap on every televised thread. Apologies to @arnieg

  10. Surprised Kelvin hasn’t mentioned how long the riders have taken at the tapes each race

  11. Not seen those two in the flesh yet this season so hard to judge but up to now, joe has been dreadful since signing snd young hagon isn’t there to score points, he’s there to free up the points to bring in Batchelor. I hope we stick with young hagon for the rest if the season now, even if he doesn’t trouble the scorers. Ablitt barely scored all season last year but he’s really coming on snd starting to blossom now. Let’s hope hagon gets the same patience. James. Pearson had been give more time snd opportunity st Birmingham then he would have had anywhere else. Yes, he has improved a bit this season but has not at any time achieved his assessed four point average snd did not look like doing so. 24 races this year. No heat wins, four seconds snd the rest, minor placings I snd most other Brummies fans really like James snd wanted to see him do well but, he ‘s the sacrificial lamb needed , in order to be able to bring in a heat leader. just emphasises the lack of the third heat leader in the original team at the start of the season

  12. Would "any" signings bring in an extra 300 or 400 supporters though? From what ive read on here the speedway public in and around Birmingham just arent having the Brummies!

  13. Looking forward to Wednesday night and the trip up to Oxford. No Pirates home meeting, meaning quite a few fans will make the two hour trip north. Poole ride Cowley quite well and this should be a very close meeting, perhaps going down to heat 15. Could it be a sell out? Certainly not a meeting to be missed. Weather is forecast to be mostly dry with the risk of an afternoon shower. Can Pirates maintain their unbeaten record? Masters and Nicholls will have other ideas. Bring it on!

  14. Well I sort of enjoyed Kelvin telling us about the exciting racing, just a shame it was never on screen.

  15. Thought Lynn looked good to be fair … as Klindt said they only had 4 riders really as Riss was like a novice in dreading him riding for us… Don’t know why but Leicesters manager seems a rather strange guy lol

  16. Hans getting owned by Jake Mulford pretty much sums up Andersen's last two years in a Panthers race suit.

  17. The track wasn't like that on Thursday. We had a thunder storm last night, and hot all day. The track came good when it dried out. Lynn battled their nuts off, and we have had no luck lately. I can tell your a proper speedway fan . Lets shut the f6cking lot down now shall we. And yes im pi$$ed off with the attitude of some on here tonight.

  18. Sure Jorgensen's performance for Kings Lynn will frustrate the Berwick fans even more than they were on Saturday.

  19. Some decent racing now the track has dried out a little. TJ working hard for his points

  20. I actually feel sorry for whoever is manager tonight driving all that way knowing full well that we are p#####g in the wind by putting out a sub standard team 4.5 points under the limit. At least the riders know they are getting payed...as for the fans..well no one cares about them do they based on this season?...I don't know why the BSPA don't step in for fielding an under strength team robbing the paying public of a sporting spectacle but in this tinpot British league I'm not surprised about that but it's wrong and shouldn't be allowed.

  21. If they knew anything about longtrack and foreign speedway they would know that Smolinski rode for Landshut in Zielona Gora yesterday and he couldn’t be in 2 places at once !!!!

  22. Worst thing about the meeting is the most important. THE TRACK.

  25. You'd imagine the management committee would have no issue with approving Pickering coming back, as he was clearly injured when being dropped & wasn't some ploy to navigate averages etc

  26. I agree regarding Mrs Pijper.Just ignore social media regarding Ace.Good or Bad.
    2 points
  27. I'm pretty sure Ace managed a nice 3rd place with a pass on the line against Redcar which was great to see. I would hope Mrs Pijper can steer clear from all social media when it comes to her son, but I appreciate that's a tricky balancing act.

  28. Just as we get the good new about Josh we then get the bad news about paco. Out for a month with a dislocated shoulder and cracked humerus sustained in Italy on Sunday. Personally wouldn’t be against signing max Clegg on a months cover can certainly score well round Armadale.

  29. What was Bachelor like when you had him in 21'? See he had a GSA of 5.67, does that tell the whole story? See he's back in the UK with Birmingham. Just thinking as an alternative to Pickering because as a hopeless romantic Lynn fan I'd love to see him back with us.

  33. Some people say Poole have strongest reserves in the league, but Sam Hagon beat them both at Poole in separate races in the Poole Vs Swindon meeting. As long as Brum have a grippy outside line like Danny King likes, he should do well.
    2 points
  34. Honestly... I think that team looks pretty strong now... Fair play Dickson, he kept to his word
    2 points
  35. Weakest reserve pairing in the league now. Joe Thompson has been very poor since signing., on current form, the only point they will score will be in heat two !! joe needs to rapidly improve or he will be out when the new averages come out on the 23rd. Same goes for Dan or he won’t be far behind Joe out of the door

  36. Away at Wolves (3rd April) 3+2 from 4 rides and Sheffield (25th May) 1 from 2 rides where he was injured again, bonus points don’t count to GSA so it’s 4 from 6 rides giving 0.66666667 per ride giving 2.67 average

  37. Does anyone know if Batchelor is already in the UK? Wouldnt he need a visa to ride which would take a few weeks to get signed off? Or was the Batchelor move already in motion when Rogers was in charge? Will he be available Wednesday? Personally i think Batchelor is a good signing. Did well with Kent and largely did ok for Ipswich at the tricky no.5 spot. Sedgman having a great year so keep at 5 and bring Batch in to the engine room with Bowtell. Its an improvement for sure!

  38. At last! Light at the end of the tunnel! Look what a 'proper' manager can do! Looking forward to Wednesday!

  39. What on earth are Lynn thinking moving r/r to number 2? Means Laguta has to take his extra ride on heat 8 against the "rising star" is that not a waste of your teams best rider (& one of the best in the world)?
    2 points
  40. A real class act, unassuming and does his job home and away. Even more amazing how his PL average for 2023 was so low. Poole looking good and the team to beat for me.

  41. Let’s face it, the SCB have a long history of dealing with individuals and clubs in a very inconsistent way, it’s called favouritism. I’m not commenting on the individual case as it appears very few know the truth about what happened but when it comes to dealing with such things you can rely on the SCB NOT to be clear and open about their decisions.

  42. There would be far more interest generated if people could pay a few pounds to be pictured with Lynn's most prized possession The pit gate hinge

  43. I agree. Not also just about live speedway, I know lynn fans are down in the dumps, and rightly so but go just to see laguta because watching world class speedway riders in UK is at a premium, and the difference between them and good riders is actually massive. M fricke also riding like a world class rider right now so my advice to you lynn fans, put your anger to one side and go enjoy them while we have them and support your club because your club needs you
