Little shout out to Leon, Jye and Scott Nicholls regarding how great they were with my 5 year old relation post meeting. His first time at speedway and he was absolutely thrilled tjhaat they took the time to engage with him and take photos, particularly Scott who invited him onto his bike. Great stuff9 points

No they all cancelled, apparently you have to pay for parking.6 points

Why would he block him from racing NL? Wouldn't that benefit both Turner & Plymouth?6 points

I'm not being funny.... But you're winning matches still and moaning about a "struggling" reserve.... Come back when it's you're heat leaders that aren't scoring points5 points

If the Berwick team manager and/or the Berwick management believe they lost last night due to Jorgensen`s engine or a general lack of luck then they are deluded, and its all well and good saying what`s gone is gone and lets move on, maybe sometimes you need to look at the reasons why you are losing on a regular bases, especially at home. How about a lack of race winners, only four last night. It should also be remembered that Oxford lost a rider in Ht1 and had a rider scoring zero, so Berwick were beaten by a five man team.4 points

There would be far more interest generated if people could pay a few pounds to be pictured with Lynn's most prized possession The pit gate hinge4 points

You could have a meet and greet with Artem laguta and he can have selfies with the fans and sign autographs. anyone who gets a selfie gets asked to put it on social media and all those that participate get put in a draw for a pair of free tickets. you could do a pit walk also. All this costs nothing but gives the full price paying punter something extra which the tv fan doesn’t get. Also the tv coverage of the signing session and pit walk may tempt some to return next meeting.4 points

Final heat 5-1 slightly distorts the score line IMHO . Berwick looked second best most of the night , another long break until the next Bandits home meeting , it's hard to build up any kind of momentum for the riders and the fans with do many gaps in the season4 points

Let's be honest I'm old school and maybe not pc for today, but if my 3 x15 year olds had done something like that at that age in any sport they were in, quite a lot but not speedway admittedly, I'd have banned them and taken their toys away, but hey they're late 30's now and lovely level headed adults.....3 points

Good news Josh Pickering made his return to racing today in Poland after starting with a last went on to score 12+2 from the 6 rides he had today.3 points

Were Oxford not unlucky to lose a heat leader in heat 1 ? swings and roundabouts on the night Berwick weren't good enough to beat a 5 man team no more to say.3 points

Really unfortunate to fall just short last night against a much fancied Oxford team. TJ supremely unlucky with mechanical gremlins in a race where he superbly passed both Jenkins and Heeps. On the plus side it looked like a fantastic crowd and there was some excellent racing and I’m sure the lads will be desperate to make amends on Wednesday night at Birmingham. It’s all still firmly within our grasp and I think if we rally behind the team and promotion then anything is possible.3 points

I'd say it essentially is 'free' because I already pay for a telly package which includes Eurosport. Its a monthly cost within the household budget. A slightly reduced admission cost, perhaps a free programme, maybe a free seat in the grandstand, some kind if entertainment for the ad breaks either on the big screen or the centre grey, perhaps some junior races. Just something different, something extra. As for the meeting, Leicester look too strong down the order to me. Looks like 40-50 ish to me.3 points

We debated whether or not to get season passes this year, in the end we decided to and now regretting it. We certainly won’t be next year if the Bandits are running and the team looks as bad as it does this season. We’ll pick and choose fixtures. I never thought TJ would live up to that 9 point average, but frankly he’s been pathetic. Add to that 2 riders racing with injuries and it’s gonna be a struggle. At least Hook is an upgrade on Stoneman3 points

Thankfully an early call off, the comets supporters bus got as far as Penrith, then turned back, 25 disappointed comets fans, but cud av been worse and called off once we got there3 points

Great find in Bastian, look forward to seeing him in Red and White next season.3 points

Certainly has the makings of being a good meeting. Bald Bloke is right, Richard Lawson could cause us some problems, and the Fricke v Laguta clashes should be worth the admission money alone. You can't beat live speedway, with its atmosphere, which you don't get on TV. So I hope the 'Stars' fans still come along and support their club.3 points

Surely if you are old enough to race you are old enough to be banned. If all the riders dont have to abide by the same rules then the sport becomes more of a joke. Maybe its time to re-raise the minimum riding age? Can't be old enough only when it suits3 points

Already started. I donated my boys trophy’s he won this year with his under 15s team. Got to start somewhere.2 points

I think they were probably spooked by the yellow weather warning but they've essentially cancelled the meeting because if a 60% chance of showers, always a good chance it was going to stay dry.2 points

But if had tipped down at midday then everyone has had a wasted journey. The forecast was wrong, it happens. Say there was a forecast for storms in Workington and you drove all the way there for it to be called off. Bet you'd be happy as Larry. Promoters are damned if they do and damned if they don't.2 points

Let’s face it, the SCB have a long history of dealing with individuals and clubs in a very inconsistent way, it’s called favouritism. I’m not commenting on the individual case as it appears very few know the truth about what happened but when it comes to dealing with such things you can rely on the SCB NOT to be clear and open about their decisions.2 points

You can almost guarantee Simon lambert will get a spot, to be fair he is banging in some big scores for Scunthorpe…… he will definitely match if not better what jakobsen was doing2 points
-
Lets not forget if it hadn't been for Ryan Douglas having 2 mechanical failures we would have lost to basically a 4 man Scunthorpe team2 points
-
I can see and understand the general feeling towards Danny but seems to me much being said is rather harsh He is averaging around the same as his starting figure so isn't doing terribly. Granted it would've been hoped (perhaps expected) to rise Rew meanwhile is at least 2 points under expectation and just posted a zero at reserve That situation plus missing Riss is the root cause of the current position imo2 points

I agree. Not also just about live speedway, I know lynn fans are down in the dumps, and rightly so but go just to see laguta because watching world class speedway riders in UK is at a premium, and the difference between them and good riders is actually massive. M fricke also riding like a world class rider right now so my advice to you lynn fans, put your anger to one side and go enjoy them while we have them and support your club because your club needs you2 points

He struggles to hold the inside coming off the bends at Ashfield whether slick or deep, often gifting the rider behind a pass having done the hard bit of getting in front of them in the first place. Those single points are what could make or break us in the play offs.2 points

The academy unlucky to not get the win last night. Max james was superb for the away team match winner. Clegg for the home side was untouchable. No hook costing the side the win or even an average guest would’ve done as Phillips was bordering on embarrassing he was absolutely atrocious.1 point

Done much better than expected think the conditions early on didn’t help some of the home men with it being wet and heavy. Much better from paco who normally struggles away from home. Sedgmen couldn’t do much more as a guest thought he was superb, thought he was going to do basso in 13 with a cut back off the last bend not end up on the receiving end of a 5-1. The young Dane was good value as well and lasse scoring good from reserve. Gave me a bit of optimism that performance that the season might not be over quite yet.1 point
-
Hypothetically if a 15 year old attacks the referee because he disagreed with him, are you saying he can't be banned?1 point

Bandits promotion again proving why they are one of the best in the business, what a fantastic choice of guest at such short notice. I think this will be the night when the Bandits start their charge towards the playoffs after a lack of action at home for about a month, I’m sure we’ll see some smiling faces this evening. Sunshine speedway on a Saturday night, you won’t want to miss it.1 point

Adam Ellis is not in form at the moment, for me his form would have to improve. Some might say Tom Brennen because he is young and would benefit from the experience but I think should pick the riders that give you the best chance of winning. Not much international experience but I would go with Charles Wright on current form.1 point
