Would say he's about 85% at the moment no issues on the bike but feels it when the adrenaline stops. As a family we are happy with his recovery so far8 points

The minimum ride rule (three rides, not four) doesn’t apply if a rider is withdrawn through injury, which is presumably the case here. IRR doesn’t apply to reserves. Updates, while a valuable resource, are not an official record of a meeting.6 points

Yes, and we even do have a few more, who are not that far behind Celina. Best of the up-and-coming German speedway ladies after Celina is Hannah Grunwald, and another who is going quite good on a 500cc bike is our Nepalese-born Patricia Erhart. There's about half a dozen of them girls in German speedway racing now, plus several more in the youth competitions.5 points

100% true sadly our sport looks for the next bright prospect promises so much and fails so often. I don't understand why we don't have under 21 British riders at both reserve positions until they're 20 or 21 regardless of the averages. Also would like to see top three average riders in a team at 1,3,5 and the 4th and fifth at 2 the 4 . Reserves should only ride against each other twice then the oppositions 2 and 4 once as this is where the next step out of reserve is . Having young reserves race against heat leaders is a frankly ridiculous state of affairs.4 points

I paid £60 for the year to watch Discovery+, already I have received my monies worth….. 3 GP’s, and 1 GP2. Plus just today I watched a World Superbikes race, championship bmx racing, and mountain bike down hill championship. Tuesday evening I watched Mondays Wolves v BV match. And there is so much more to come. That’s hard to beat.4 points

This part I agree with most, nothing against the guy, but Sam Masters racing as a number one in the Prem, doubling up in the Champ & racing in Poland, while 5 point Brits can't get a Champ spot doesn't sit well with me! We can't trust the promoter's to use Brits first, so will have to put in rules to ensure they are3 points

Let's hope as he develops that he (and all the other young riders coming through), get looked after with ring fenced team places in the middle tier.. Which should be their key development ground as they organically bridge the gap between 3rd Div and the top league...3 points

I just feel his time in the GP's is possible over seems to be on the deck all the time now and involved in most of the incidents that happen .3 points

They don’t alternate every heat though, heats 7,8,9 & 10 and 13 a team gets a run of the opposite gates to the ones they picked. So thanks to the gate choices it meant Scunny had 1 & 3, 5 times out of 7 heats, at the part of the night when the outside went off and the inside gates worked better. With the exception of heat 11 (where Redcar were on a 5-1 and blew it), every winner / heat advantage from heat 7 to heat 15 came from gate 1 & 3, and gates 2 & 4 did the business heats 1-6.3 points

I agree. Higher ups want Krosno relegated anyway so I wouldn't be surprised if Lublin accepted a pre-meeting bribe to hand Grudziadz a win today. No way can anyone convince me that this crap Grudziadz side can batter the champions from pillow to post out of the blue.2 points

I’m glad the others are finally standing up to him, he’s had too long being able to ride through people rather than pass them. Robert Lambert didn’t get the memo last night however2 points

Yes, it's sad to see such a great respect as Harry having such a bad time. He had a big off once in I think a Czech meeting a few years, and had to be nursed back from that. He had a mixed year last year with the Colts with some poor rides in a fairly decent year hence his start average this year. Last year it was Sam that had some 0 meetings and look how well he is flying now. Both seem to be prone to have the odd bad meetings but Harry this year is a different matter. Worky really need to replace him quickly while he takes time to get it back. Worky being such a great investment needs to be winning everything at home and performing well away. A second heat leader getting under 2 points per meeting is not good for their future.2 points

The Elite League fast track format did exactly that. I thought it was the perfect race format. Surely heat leaders racing each other more often, ditto the reserves is good for the fans (closer racing), for the riders (improve more when racing similar standard riders) and the promoter's (high paying heat leaders will naturally score less). I particularly dislike the weakest Champ reserve racing at 6, after heat 2 he meets the 1+2 then 3+4 pairing then most likely dropped from his 4th ride. How can they expect to improve under those circumstances. I certainly much prefer the RS having to race at 7 & not able to be replaced in heat 8 in the Prem, wish they'd at least do the same in the Champ with the lowest averaged reserve.2 points

I hope Harry will rediscover his love for the sport. The Sam Norris crash, a few years back, must have affected both brothers and others close to that age group, although fantastic to see how Sam recovers as time goes by. The spell at Plymouth in CL is a perfect example of how the sport uses young lads not yet ready and then spits them out with shot confidence and dissilusion. Hopefully Harry can regroup stronger2 points

Woffy is just hanging around with “big boys” these days.Doesn’t really want to get stuck in.He’s been there ,got the Tee Shirt and the money. Will still be earning plenty in the League Matches in Poland and Sweden without really taxing himself though.2 points

Another enjoyable meeting today obviously not the score we wanted but plenty of good signs especially from Luke Harrison great stuff . Hope Elliot is ok that was a nasty one need him ok for the 18th away at Mildenhall Still very happy to see speedway back at Workington such a great set up too!2 points

This theory needs challenging. There seems to be a running theme that rider's come here & become worse, rider's leave here & become better. There's something about this club that just isn't working.2 points

Bickley said in his Instagram post that he planned on retiring before last night’s match, but didn’t want to leave Edinburgh without a rider. Doesn’t sound like somebody out for revenge - he could have just not bothered turning up if that’s the case. More likely he had already retired in his mind and was just going through the motions, trying to get the meeting done without any issues.2 points

Not really for Workington though is it.As he didn’t ride for them in recent seasons.1 point

Should of been something like that at the start, the season is over in reality in terms of any real result but it would be nice to see a few home wins1 point

The new London Stadium is only a stones throw from the original London Stadium which Waterden Rd the home of Hackney was renamed/redeveloped. I think the original Waterden Rd site is where the BT studios etc were sited for the Olympics.1 point

No issue if Pedersen had gone down with 1st contact... but his delayed fall was a bit over dramatic. He was last anyways worth the risk, which paid off1 point

Issue 6 had Kent's averages changing 21st May. Issue 7 had Kent's averages changing 1st Jun. Presumably who posted issue 7 didn't check issue 6 first? What I don't understand is despite issue 7 CLEARLY having a mistake the referee or BSPL chose to IGNORE it because it was "official"? Anyway the point I was making, is if they don't re-run a match because of an error which affected 7 or 8 heats, they're not going to re-run a match based on a mistake in 1 or 2 heats.1 point

For what it is worth, for me.. The top league should be six man teams, with a 4pt minimum level, (no bunnies)... The 2nd tier then runs 7 man teams with numbers 6 and 7 ring fenced as U21 UK or Parental qualification riders... The 3rd tier then running 8 man teams.. With 4 "decent" riders, 2 "ok" riders, and 2 "newbies" per team.. (use averages to determine the demarcation).. With the bottom two riders pretty much "pay to play" given it is simply an outlet for them to develop from scratch.. Doubling up and down should be organic, ie lower end of Div 1 riding in Div 2, lower end of Div 2 riding in Div 3.. Any rider with a team place overseas cannot DU, meaning that no meeting should ever not take place over here because of another league somewhere else, or be a guestfest because of them.. Riders DU ing over here would then have to commit to the UK, meaning guests not needed and credibility... And young lads have an organic development pathway to whatever level their individual talents reach... No matter how many times BV win their league, or Poole win theirs, it wont generate anywhere near the publicity that a constantly successful national team will.. And the more the awareness, the better the crowds, but, and even more importantly, the more the young lads become aware of the sport and will see what they can earn, and what publicity they can get, and therefore, want to give it a go.. A virtuous circle.. (or oval maybe?).. Poland keep a conveyor belt of talent going for a reason.. Staying at the top brings coverage, sponsors, and fans.. And plenty of lads then to aspire to be part of it...1 point

Not totally true as what I saw & seen posted on the updates site, the riders had to work through to get their better finishing positions.as we rarely see FTG as positions change throughout the races.1 point

Why should the match be re-run? If a mistake was made just remove the reserve replacement for the missing riders 4th ride. Leicester vs Kent was ridden with 2 Kent riders in the wrong positions (Naylor & King) but there's been nothing said about that from the BSPL I've seen? Probably because they don't want to admit they made a mistake with the team decelerations.1 point

12.5 refers to injury sustained during the meeting. So it is moot whether Dugard and Embleton's injuries were fresh. If they were 'aggravating old injuries then neither should have been replaced in heat 14. "If a rider is prevented as a result of an injury sustained in that meeting, as confirmed in writing by the MO, the minimum ride rule will not apply"1 point
