People who think speedway should just be about opening the throttle are clueless Monmore is different and requires a different skill set …. Bewley looks fast but is not riding the right lines but his natural ability gets him there There has been lots of close racing and plenty of overtaking and not just from mistakes Those who constantly slate Wolves track are just clowns who would rather we had no speedway I guess Ive seen dull meetings at all tracks it happens Then we have people slagging off the presentation…. It’s not the best but it’s better than no speedway and I think Scott is superb … Abbie is fine and I just think Kelvin is a bit lost on his own but that shows how good Pearson actually was Call yourself speedway fans and all you do is moan10 points

Not sure why you are being so defensive. Getting passed easily would be a symptom of not being good enough would it not? Every race we saw on Eurosport showed P'boro riders busting a gut to either stay in front or try and pass the rider in front if them. Its insulting to professional sportsmen to say that they dont care, aren't trying hard enough or don't have the balls for the fight. And that's my opinion thanks5 points

I have sympathy with the Longtrack thing it's a completely different sport IMO and he shouldn't be missing speedway fixtures for that, nor should any kind of facility be granted. The problem with today is that teams can rearrange meetings willy nilly because guests are handed out like confetti, if it was R/R or a junior then I suspect they wouldn't have accepted the booking. Chris Harris is and aways was racing in Germany or wherever today, as with the majority of speedway's issues the problem lies with the system and the governance of the sport. It all needs tightening up massively.5 points

I’m hearing they approached Garrity to see the season out at Armadale. He in turn approached the parole board to put him back inside. Just confirming that he will do anything to avoid Edinburgh.5 points

Why don't the moaners on here just do one! We know what you think, doesn't matter how many times you say it. You need to use riding skill and brains to do well here, a totally different challenge to an easy to ride polish track. Could go either way this. Happy to have it on TV, don't care if the presenters make mistakes.4 points

Even if you don't make the playoffs, it's surely a better side now - which is progress isn't it? Just watch Laguta and enjoy it if nothing else.4 points

Why does have to be not caring or lack of guts? Perhaps they just aren't good enough. From the clips on Eurosport there appears to be no lack of effort and determination. Just Leicester are better.4 points

The one rider who has shown loyalty in spades to British speedway despite being shat on from a great height at times, and you call him deluded for chasing a dream to be the best he can whilst trying to earn a living? I know who's deluded...4 points

That's how to go about your business. No Billy Big spuds promises, just quietly getting things done. Well done to Alex and all concerned Now lets hope for a decent crowd on Thursday..4 points

It was a GP Qualifier today - and as pointed out on Live Updates, Harris did at least beat the Dutch, Italian, and Norwegian riders4 points

Gate one for Masters in heats 13 & 15 proved crucial. I'll never be a huge fan of Monmore Green but it was very watchable tonight. Two good contests across the day by the sound of it3 points

Even if Lynn don't make the play offs I think you may see a proper competitive team now and that is a huge plus for the fans.3 points

Eurosport back to there very worst!!!! If they weren't interested in the sport why did they bother in the first place? Not even on the Discovery app...what's the f"******g point??!!!3 points

Glasgow is quite easy to go straight along the M8 and your there in jig time.3 points

I don’t know why Rob Godfrey gets a bad press Scunny made two changes to the side , the rider they brought in scored 5 pts iN 5 meetings so he made another change and I’ll guarantee the other 8 promoters in the league would have done exactly the same3 points

Well that frees up 2 hours of your time to go and do something else. Enjoy.3 points

I posted on the Updates about bringing in a Handicap format for re-run's. The guy that was leading starts at the tapes. Person in 2nd starts 5 metres back, guy in 3rd 10 metres back. I always find it very harsh especially when a team is on a 5-1 that someone stays down. Could work well in the GP's also for example in the last one when Jack Holder basically had it in the bag before race was stopped.3 points

Both Hagon (1st) and Ablitt grew up at Eastbourne, such as sad loss to the sport as the club has produced many England internationals over years..3 points

I’d be surprised if Garritty was out yet. He was arrested in April 2020 sentenced to 7 and a half years in October 2020. Assuming he was remanded in custody in the April and his sentence is deemed to start from arrest rather than conviction, the best he can hope for is a release after serving half his sentence, so that would be 3 years and 9 months which would take us to January next year. In view of his crimes, I would hope that his licence has been permanently revoked3 points

Not sure why people are moaning I thought that was a good meeting. Good racing, track decent and a last heat decider. Been a great day of racing between these two teams. Both of these teams will be in the play offs.2 points

You have to remember. While there is no1s out there there is also different budgets for different teams. Unfortunately Peterborough’s is low2 points

I expect he won't be back anytime soon because he won't be fit anytime soon. Once he is he'll be straight back in. Jorgensen or Klindt most vulnerable I suspect.2 points

i don’t think anyone outside wolverhampton will be sad to see monmore go2 points

I remember doing 3 meetings in 1 day back in the good old days, Kings Lynn in the morning, Ipswich in the afternoon, and Hackney in the evening. Miss those times.2 points

I really don't like the phrase 'bottled', I always prefer to give credit to the team who fought back. What Wolves needed was their number one to step up in heats 13 & 15 to see the match out but he was unable to do so.2 points

Plymouth's track couldn't be any easier to get to, great little set up. I'd recommend the front row of the back straight, you can basically reach out and touch the riders, one of the best views in British speedway.2 points

Somebody is at fault. Harris was scheduled to miss the original staging apparently as he's chasing his equally deluded dream of becoming World Longtrack Champion. It's going to take a truly exceptional set of circumstances for him to become world speedway champion... or even make the GP's. He should really be showing some loyalty as Captain of the team to Leicester and British Speedway and the leagues that provide him with the majority of his income at the expense of the credibility of the sport in this country. Leicester should not have taken the fixture but as @mikebv said it's not effecting the home gate so stuff the Leicester fan!2 points

As a Newport fan, I can remember going to 3 meetings in one day on Whit Monday 1976, Reading v Hackney in the morning then onto White City v Hull in the afternoon then Wimbledon for the Internationale in the evening. None of those tracks exist now sadly.2 points

So, unless the two Russians are included, we will have 11 of the current 15 reinstated into the 2024 GP series, two of which could be riders not good enough to qualify. What message does that send to riders who qualify for the GP challenge final but finish outside the top 3. Is it any wonder why the GP has become so dull, same old same old, yawn2 points
-
This meeting was only arranged six days ago so you can hardly blame Harris for being elsewhere. Whether he should be in the qualifier or not is up for debate but if he was asked/qualified then you can't blame him for accepting. Good for him that he's still ambitious in the twighlight of his career. I expect he has his eye on the SWC and why shouldn't he?2 points
-
When you consider both Lambert and Fricke have already been eliminated, there clearly are riders who will make the series better2 points

Have you ever followed speedway mate?...riders miss meetings every week for GP's and this is no different...send Bomber our way if you want and you can have Worral back..2 points

The same has been said by many people, many times! The two minutes rule as per FIM should have been adopted years ago. Not ready to race as the clock ticks down to zero...excluded!2 points
