Trackman Terry C who does Poole, Wolverhampton and Redcar? has had a minor stroke and it out of action for a while. I have been told he is now out of hospital and recovering. I am sure we on here would all like to wish Terry C all the best and a speedy recovery.7 points

Workington V Edinburgh! Excited to even post this one, after years away we are back! Firstly a big thank you and congratulations to all of the Workington management/Promoters/volunteers and sponsors to revive our club and put together an amazing race track and team. Teams below not in riding order. Workington : Connor Bailey Luke Crang Harry McGurk Ace Pijper Sam McGurk Elliot Kelly. Kelsey Dugard Edinburgh: Kyran Lyden Mickie Simpson Alex Spooner Adam Roynon Dayle Wood Kyle Bickley Jacob Hook Going to be a close one as a season opener on our new track especially with local lads Adam and Kyle in the Edinburgh team I think we can pull off a home win but like most people I’m just happy to see racing again at Workington after so long. GIVE US A C …..!!!!!!6 points

You’ve gotta love Jason Doyle. British Speedway legend. Not many treat OUR league with respect like he does. He even turned up last night for a challenge at Poole where it didn’t matter a jot, and still rode his heart out to a full 15 point max. What a servant he’s been and we’ll all miss him when he’s gone. Can’t see others at the top table that does what he does here. We should all get behind him at the GP’s!6 points

Good of kings lynn to lend Peterborough their reserve at number one5 points

If you lot think this is bad, try joining the 'Panthers speedway chat' on Facebook.. I'm getting shot down left right and centre for being disappointed with the season. They all seem to think everything is all rosey and fine5 points

Hats off to Bob Ellis - trackman at Foxhall Foxhall underwater at lunchtime and in full race order by start time Shows what can be done by a professional committed promotion with the right team and the right knowledge and skills4 points

Go on then , take the credit. I'm sure LR was sitting at home with his feet up counting his cash from last Wednesday when he saw your post and thought, thats a good idea.4 points

Blimey, you still harping on about this? You really don't like people having an opinion that isn't the same of your own, do you? Well, though luck, because it's a forum and that's what it's for. Incidentally, Oxford showed how you do it last night. Bit of rain in the forecast, but not enough to call it off. When a heavy shower did arrive at 6.45pm, the track staff worked hard, and it resulted in a very entertaining meeting and everyone went home happy. No-one was ever against early rain-offs on this thread. Just against early call-offs, when there isn't enough rain in the forecast to justify it. But carry on with your head in the sand, while wondering why there's less and less people stood around you at Ashfield each week.4 points

Does anyone really care anymore? It’s got to the point where I didn’t even bother to watch tonight as it was so obvious what was going to happen. Yet nothing will be done and we will all be kept in the dark until the next meeting when we will have another teams second string riding at no1 for us. It’s absolutely pathetic from all involved.3 points

I would suggest that the sport is on a knife edge when it comes to costs.. Some riders will have to be paid, possibly airline and hotel costs, if they arrive.. And those Promoters who rent stadiums will have to pay up after a certain time.. Damned if they do, and damned if they dont... If it means less of a threat to their survival and growth them it has to have merit... Speedway fans are a pretty hardy bunch, they must be given the stuff they put up with, so, whilst some will be disappointed, most will attend the next time.. And those who plan to attend, booking hotels, or travelling from 100's of miles away, will, by now I am sure, have realised that such an undertaking is fraught with potential disappointment...3 points

They messed the team up well before then. The Pedersen situation hasn't helped granted but frankly it's not our problem as fans.3 points

Breaking News... Due to an inclement Long Range Weather forecast for the coming weeks and months the PL and BSPL / SCB have decided to halt the League Programme with immediate effect. A one Off League Title 7 Team Tournament Knock out will be arranged for Leicester on the weekend of October 28/29th. PL Consultant Phil Morris said, we always get a weather break at the end of the season and we can put on a fantastic Firework Display costing thousands and it'll make it a fantastic event. We have consulted with the Company that provide the fantastic fabric roof on the Stands at Leicester and they are going to construct a wrap around version that will cover the track just above floodlight level so we'll be weather proofed. We'll start manning the Track soakaway chambers now so we'll have any water pumped off in good time.3 points

Who the hell designed this week's front cover? Chris Holder looks about 90. I really do think the front covers are long overdue a makeover as they are now the same old every week. Just my opinion of course, if people disagree with me, I'm happy with that.2 points

Good lad Keynan. Love this kid, may not grow in to a superstar who knows, but if he sticks around he’ll be a very good Premiership rider who’ll get better.2 points

I hope they don't,but we are as bad as them.I will have a whinge too if we lose. You often get one poor team in the PL each season, normally Lynn, but to have two in the same season takes some doing.2 points

Some of the best racing I've seen from Foxhole on TV in years and years! Normally when Sky/BT/Eurosport have been there it's been dire stuff!2 points

I would sack Rob Lyon tonight. He is not getting the best out of Hans and Niels. Bring back Trevor Swales. Trevor knows how to get the best out of Hans and Niels. Hans had his best ever season in British Speedway under Trevor Swales. I would also look to tempt Ryan Sullivan out of retirement. I saw him at the Showground a few weeks ago and he looks fit as a fiddle. No fat on him whatsoever.2 points

With a fully fit and firing Nicki and Jenkins riding the whole meeting, I think the Panthers would have made this very close.2 points

Not girders. The Ipswich fence was collapsible on impact. With nothing to hang the airbags on, they had to develop a frame - the posts are at the back, don't think they've ever caused a problem?2 points

People forget that Foxhall holds more than any stadia in the country. Tonight’s attendance is a good night for most others.2 points

Might be wrong but feel Scunny will suit Marcin, a fast round track. Scorpions will be trying to match Ablitt with Pijper while Glasgow should be avoiding that. A battle of team managers. Who will win that? Scunny have a strong opening pair and are stronger at reserve too but Basso and Vissing should outscore their opposite numbers. Glad it's on BSN.2 points

Jakobsen got 7 from 6 rides at Foxhall ten days ago. ''Very good'' is not how I would describe him...2 points

If it's on. Panthers are using Fred Jakobsen at Number 1 now instead of R/R for Pedersen2 points

It is criminal that the stadium has been allowed to fall into such a state and as sad as it is well done to the two lads who put together the video. Fingers crossed something positive will come from all the efforts being put in to revive the sport at this venue.2 points

The real problem with this is home snappers/ video technicians will jump up and down to correct a decision that goes against the home team, but not when a manifestly wrong call is made in their team's favour.2 points

Was Christina the ref at Oxford could really done with it when said Jacob hook fell off on his own when clearly got wiped out lol. Yeah they should use anything they have available to them to make correct decision. Most need all the help they can get!!!2 points

But that isn’t necessarily so. The development plans should make provision for a new facility according to the councils Peterborough local plan (LP30). Whether this happens or not is what we are all waiting to see when the development plans are published on the councils planning portal. If a new facility is included in some way then the owner has something tangible to sell, if a new facility is not included, then a long drawn out battle will undoubtedly commence.2 points
