Criminal Laguta isn’t allowed to ride in the GP’s, the only the only rider that could stop the Bartosz procession7 points

Sorry but a rider with Craig's experience should not have them kind of issues... A mean an EX GP & international rider aswell should have his 2nd bike in condition to win races at championship level & that's not a dig at other riders but his stuff should be top quality5 points

Just an update on Holder. He was taken to hospital with some difficulty breathing and back pain.4 points

Peterborough aren't fielding an under strength side, they are built to the points limit & using r/r for a missing rider, no one could possibly prove that King would outscore r/r! Assuming Sayfutdinov isn't available, this is the strongest team available to them (until they sign a new number one).3 points

For those who weren't at the meeting or didn't stay afterwards you should know some of things Max said in interview post racing. He described himself as "The weak link" and his performances are "Just not good enough". So if anyone thinks he's just collecting the cash and doesn't care about the team, think again.3 points

Who they gonna replace max fricke with ffs? speedway fans are so fickle, imagine in other sports you don’t score a hat trick for a couple of games and you just lose your job3 points

Too busy crying on twitter to sort his equipment out3 points

He should harden the fk up and get on with it. Thats what I think Ben would be saying just now.3 points

People keep saying Tomalin should buy the club, what if Buster has slapped an absolutely outrageous price tag on it? Which he probably has. if Tomalin wants to buy the club and invest in a new stadium and it wont happen because Chapman is asking for way too much then you can absolutely understand why their fans are against him. at the end of the day, it cant be worth much at all. Its a failing business in a stadium that isnt theres. A few rider assets which are next to worth next to nothing anyway, along with a couple of tractors and an airfence? It is more than likely Chapman wants to sell it for more than he paid for it and Tomalin being a good business man wont pay the money for something that he feels isn't worth it. You could view it as Buster being a good businessman and wanting to make a profit too i guess but seeing as he has no intentions of moving the club to a new stadium, and this being there last at the Showground, I would be pretty p****d off as a Peterborough fan as well.2 points

In the beginning there was Russia, well at least from the 14th century. Russia gained an empire. Following the 1917 revolution there was Soviet Russia, from 1918 until 1922, otherwise called the Russian Soviet Republic. In 1922 a group of national republics formed a federal union with its capital in Moscow. The proper title of the federation was the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, which lasted until 1991. Any ‘national’ speedway or other sporting team during this period should properly have been called U.S.S.R., not Russia or Soviet Russia, although Soviet Union was acceptable as an alternative. By the time the Baltic States had been annexed in June 1940 the U.S.S.R. comprised Armenia, Azerbaijan, Byelorussia (also called White Russia and now Belorus), Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia (now Kyrgystan), Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia (now Moldova), Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. With the dissolution of the U.S.S.R. in 1991 the constituent members became countries in their own right, including the Russian Federation, with its capital in Moscow. My A-level geography teacher was a lucky (and foolish) man as he took photographs/slides of sites across the U.S.S.R. from Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) in the west to Vladivostok in the east without being caught. He was able to show them in school lessons a lifetime ago.2 points

I can see Torun looking very closely at Emil's current workload. A very poor performance from him today. All of that travelling between the UK and Poland is not helping his Polish league performances.2 points

Great to see three GB riders riding at such a high level and very comfortably to... When Woffy it could be argued is No3, that is a seriously high standard of rider this country has.. We just need at least one more...2 points

A very simple alternative is you can't guest against a team in your own group, there would still be up to 6 clubs to choose guests from (depending on fixtures).2 points

Should be fined for fielding an understrength team, as used to be the case. Chapman should have to pay 50% of the total points money for the whole match regardless of the score.2 points
-
That would be the worst possible outcome and the end of the club. Whilst the club is still running the local planning policy covers them for the future in so much as a provision of a facility must be found if the stadium and track are to be developed.2 points

Quote GB boss Olly Allen said: “We knew it was going to be tough, and to beat Germany on their own track is no easy feat. “We need to remember we’ve got a bronze medal today – okay, we were quite a few points behind first and second; however, to get here we had to beat Czech Republic in the Czech Republic, and we had to score more points than Sweden and they put a super-strong team out. Quote First of all, beating Germany, who only had 2 scoring riders, isn't that impressive Second of all, scoring only 2 more points than Sweden, who weren't even in the same semi final (considering how much easier Britain's semi final was with Ukraine - no offence) isn't that impressive either Accepting being 27 points behind Poland in the final is not good either Who chooses these teams...? And what is Olly Allen smoking...? Well done Polska. Also nice to see Rasmus Jensen scoring well in the final too.2 points

Great Post and one that sums up British Speedway entirely. It's a sport that's been on the decline.for years and yet despite all.the warning signs it's just plodded on.until we are left with what we have now. An antiquated, unprofessional, inadequate sport that has been allowed to stagnate while blinkered promoters have done nothing to improve it2 points

Spoiler Alert! It doesnt really matter who wins any UK Speedway League given the lack of financial return, publicity and kudos.. The Promoters themselves must realise this as they make it blatantly obvious just by looking at their ludicrous operating model.... Therefore 100%, and quite correctly, they will make the right decision for their clubs financially.. Hence over the years, for example, the No1 (world class), riders have often missed away meetings when riding elsewhere on the same night/next night, but have seldom missed home meetings.. Another example of why it shouldn't be teated seriously is the way you are allowed to bring in a better rider as a guest at home to replace your missing inferior one... But have to run with a "lesser rider" away.. (The caveat being you may be able to bring in a track specialist ringer on a lower average).. Winning it hone, plus seeing out a season and being in a position to come to the tapes the following year are pretty much the two key objectives... Most fans go to watch the racing and plenty of clubs have enough "die hards" to cobble together some tenuous team event each week.. Whilst that exists, fair play to the promoters to look after their own business as they see fit.. No point winning a competition that brings in such miniiscule tangible reward, and then closing down because it cost you too much to do it.. The racing at the NSS will be no doubt excellent tomorrow, so that is what should hopefully bring the crowd in..1 point

Your obcessed with TTT posts you must sit there all day waiting for him to post something then post the same thing over and over and over again, hes got a different opinion of Buster to you so you just need to accept that he has , if Buster shuts up shop so be it, at least we might get some peace from reading on Peterborough's thread your repeated rants at MT a man you dont know1 point
-
Surprised this thread has run to 9 pages. For a number of seasons the answer has been BLEAK , this season it must be BLEAKER. A steadily dwindling people want to pay and watch the “product” in the UK . A steady dwindling number of landlords are interested in renting tracks for speedway.1 point

I see Barnsley on Tuesday as a bit of a free hit. I fully expect town to beat Exeter at home, and then I’m confident of doing the business away to Fleetwood on the last day. But yeah all focus on Tuesday, win there and it’s done.1 point

i can`t believe they are having a round at Ostrow Speedway in June - the track length is 372 M - that`s absolutely ridiculous.1 point

Is there a lot of hate? A few people are disappointed and are looking for a target. The BSF is like Twitter, not the real world. MT set himself up to being that target by communicating with seemingly unresolved issues still hanging around. A shrewd businessman he may be but that's usually a negative where speedway is concerned as you delve in to the shark infested custard of speedway promotion and its owners. It's a steep learning cure.1 point

What this bloke who said this Thursday?. “I think all criticism of Buster is unfair, he’s doing his best for sure in my opinion, he IS a good guy and does want the club to survive. It’s not easy running a Speedway club and very often, actually always, it’s about mitigating losses rather than making a profit” Mick said this the above on here the other day. The same bloke that you said of him …You know the solid guy, who has the best interests of the club at heart .1 point
