  2. Tell you what, no matter who you think is going to be top or well adrift at the bottom. I think this is going to be the best year in recent times. Good riders, good teams and Morris in charge. I actually have hope that speedway over here is going forward for once.

  3. The smell has virtually gone now, as many of the boys use synthetic oil. Probably due to the tuners saying it's best! But forgetting about the marketing aspect of 'the smell'. Regarding noise, well, it's noise which has contributed to killing speedway over the years. Football and Rugby only has the noise of the crowd, the spectators could replace the noise of the engines. With proper development and people being open minded, I think it could work.

  5. Surely that information is between BSN & the clubs involved.

  6. The free Park and Ride at Oxford on Unipart, secure and patrolled and safe for FREE is a massive positive and if you take that OFF the Admission when comparing with those Tracks that charge or where you are forced in to side streets or unpatrolled Public Car Parks really does make Cowley look like excellent overall value. Getting OUT is easy too as the Lights seem to prioritise the Site at the appropriate time.

  8. They do, but they don’t have have Doyle and Sayfutdinov at 1 and 5 either. Can’t have everything. Rew will be absolutely sound by the way, this boy is talented and the Ipswich fans will enjoy watching him. Has a style that will make him very popular.

  9. Hi Marky_Mark, This meeting is not a part of the Season Passes. We are streaming this on behalf on Belle Vue Speedway - this meeting was not part of our plans when we released Season Passes in December. BSN Season Passes cover the Premiership and Championship meetings that are agreed with the BSPL - essentially the official League, KO Cup, BSN Series and Major Events that are detailed when we release them. All of those meetings will be delivered to Season Pass holders over the season. When a club approaches us to stream a meeting that is not part of our packages, usually individual meetings from clubs that don’t have an in-house streaming service, we offer those as optional additional content. Thanks!

  10. Had a look at all the teams who have their own race suits and Poole definitely have the worst,Redcar and Plymouth best design imo.

  11. Isnt that really their own business?

  12. I've no idea and it's not relevant to Oxford. Maybe you should shine the torch up Danny's back passage and see if he replies in morse code after asking the Brum Promotion for you.

  13. Also, electric speedway, could have the opportunity to shake off the 'greasy rockers' image, which still exists with some people. It could attract a fresh cohort of spectators, especially those who are conscious about global warming etc

  14. And could bring many large manufacturers into the sport.. Something Honda tried to do many years ago... "Closed shop/Vested interest" could be a thing of the past with the costs getting driven down by a greater supply of manufacturers... We already have e-bike championships in road racing so the fundamental basics will be out there... No noise pollution would be a strong persuasion for any planning requests...

  19. Hi Ragdoll, If this is the first time you have accessed our website since it changed at the end of Feb, then yes the upgrade and new password would be requested. Thanks for bringing the State and Zip request to my attention. I’ve checked and it seems our website has defaulted to an American form for the Peter Craven Memorial. We will get that amended ASAP, but you can rest assured that your purchase has been made legitimately. Thanks!

  22. If you are a pants gater and are at 2 at home,,, then that is pants management,,, you want to be at 4 where the track has more time to develop so you can use your passing skills,,,now if you are a good gater and prefer curb crawling,,, no 2 is a good place to be. Didn't mean to quote you, hence deleted

  23. I hadn't put any thought into the gates, inside might be better one day but worse the next. I guess ideally tracks should have the gates as equal as possible.

  24. I was asking the Birmingham 'fan' who spends more time on the Poole thread than his own club!!

  25. Speedway bikes are basically a stripped down version of the road bikes in the 1920s and 30s. Hardtail rear ends, single cylinder 4 stroke engine, separate gearbox (single speed countershaft, used in speedway) and a single seat (saddle). Due to the riding style, a modern road going bike of any type, will not work going left round an oval track, drifting on the corners!

  30. It’s a pound more than last year in advance and as almost everyone paid in advance last year the odd casual spectator turning up probably would not worry about a couple of quid also it’s free car parking at Oxford even more savings .

  33. If people are concerned about losing the noise and the smell, well the noise issue can be easily solved by putting on some headphones with the pre-recorded conventional sound of a race cued up on your phone/iPod. Solved.

  34. Left baffled and disillusioned? Wondering how such a fantastic spectacle can be so completely undermined by (some) of those who actually deliver it?

  35. We all know the current situation, your last 3 posts over the last 3 hours, perhaps you should start your own thread Old Bob's Negative Posts Thread and put them in there.
