  1. I would grant Glasgow a ten point lead. It’s the only realistic way they are in with a shout to be honest.

  2. PC certainly made a” mountain out of a molehill” regarding Who he thought should pay.He should ask himself how many were really bothered whether they paid or not,or whether they would attend anyway.Seems a really trivial thing to get so involved in dispute to the degree he has.He has certainly tarnished his reputation with the matter that followed.Sad really.Suspect there was more too it.

  3. I made a point of keeping a close eye on him last time I saw him in the flesh as he usually flies under the radar whenever I've seen him. And he looks to be a very good rider technically, not wild, no daft moves. He reminds me a bit of Lee Richardson, Lee could hardly score a point in the early stages of his career and it was a wonder that he stuck at it. If you're the type of rider who is a "steady eddy" you really need to sort your gating out and that's probably Drew's main deficiency. I don't know the guy personally, just from what I've heard on podcasts etc. and he seems a very level headed young lad with a good outlook on the sport. Like I say if you're a see where I am at the first bend and stay there merchant he needs to make sure he's in the points at the first bend, can't really see him riding it balls out scraping the fence pulling Zmarzlik moves to get by his opponents.

  5. Legault was exciting but had a habit of testing out the safety fence. Think was one too many knocks

  6. Riding a 200 metre track he is regularly at compared to the U.K. is chalk and cheese. Last night it was a tiny circle of a track. If he joins Plymouth he might be OK.

  8. I think that was his first meeting in five years.

  9. Just watched the main meeting, the track was so small their "airfence" was a mixture of a concrete wall and a white line,no safety for the riders, was a bit of a shambles with no helmet colours.

  10. By coincidence, i just read elsewhere that Briggo for his Golden Greats meeting at Edinburgh in the 90s wanted to charge all the track staff to get into the meeting they were going to work at, and was told to take a running jump

  11. Agree totally! Undoubtedly talented especially when he makes a decent gate and gets clear of the pack. If he gets caught in the pack and is in close contact with elbows, legs and bikes hes always the first one to back off. - Unless he gets more aggressive he won't go much if any further. Add in all the talk, publicity and book writing which makes him seem like he has a massively over inflated opinion of how good he actually is then its no surprise that hes run out of teams who want to use him.

  12. Anyone else been watching this? Thought it was quite a disappointment and not worth the money to watch the BSN stream. Thought presentation would be better with it being America, but it was awful. A bloke playing the American National Anthem on what seemed to be his first guitar lesson, A scruffy chap doing centre green interviews while wearing a rucksack. Meeting introductions very untidy and disorganised. Racing was quite decent for the main test match considering the track was so small. But it was spoilt by the lack of helmet colours. BSN captions were all over the place. Full marks to Adam Roynon who did a brilliant job of identifying riders considering that he was commentation from UK and only having the same pictures that we had. The other commentator was clueless. After the main test match it's been a shambles. Took ages to do a presentation. USA riders wandered out randomly some without their racejackets. Laurence Riogers out there loving himself photobombing the winning team photos even though his country lost. We're now 2 hours 40 mins into the meeting and still trying to do the second half, no one knows who's in which races, but Adam Roynon still being a hero recognising riders.

  13. Agree... "Another Rock and Roll Christmas" is still one of my all-time seasonal faves. I'm a little torn, but I still listen to his greatest hits.

  14. I seem to recall that the rising star label was only applicable for two seasons for any rider. But if Drew Kemp has not been selected by any of the Premiership or Championship clubs then he needs to take a long hard look at himself & answer his own questions

  15. Of course it’s relevant. Wolves were refused using Tai when both Freddie and Jacob had season ending injuries before the play offs. Somewhere either that’s been ignored or conveniently allowed for one team to benefit. obviously the rules are mostly nonsense hence why those clever promoters know exactly how to get around those loopholes. Obviously they don’t want to fully tighten them because it’s still all about self interest. Hopefully the ruling body will see what a mistake they made allowing a rider to be signed AFTER the deadline AND DURING the play offs. It’s a dangerous precedent they are setting to allow that to happen again. Its a total farce to allow a rider to sign ONLY for the only play offs when their contribution to the UK league is nothing. I read an article in an October SS that Lambert said he would be interested in riding in the UK in 2023 (despite adding a lighter schedule works for him) so I wonder how those negotiations are going? Looking at the bigger picture allowing a BRIT to return to the UK should be welcomed however it really sticks in the throat when in reality he has no interest in riding in the UK league anymore.

  16. If only 3 of those riders are still alive, and Eric Broadbelt and Ken Eyre are regulars at BV every week, then it seems it is only Collins who is being a bit of a prick about it. If the other 97+ people on his list aren't ex-title winning riders, then who are they? Wonder if his publicist and apologist can enlighten us?

  18. Cheers Dan. I had a look on a couple websites but I couldn't find mention of this meeting at all... Pretty easy field for Rory, he should be winning it comfortably... Only other notable names to me is Maurice Brown and Brayden McGuinness who both rode in Poland last year... Obviously heard of a few of the others but don't know much about them

  19. I've always advocated that playing about with the rules doesn't actually increase potential "new fans"...it just pisses off those who already attend with silly rule changes just for the sake of shaking things up in the eyes of the promoters.

  20. As a member of the WSRA, I believe this is wrong. We as an organisation should be supporting the SPORT not individual teams.
