  1. Should have just binned this off if you’re not going to hold it at every track. Three clubs get a home advantage while the others don’t, just devalues the whole thing.

  2. About 8 pints and a few rum and cokes

  3. Little Holder always been a complete knob end. Thinks he’s better than he is. Big brother also now a very angry man and past it. Sad as used to like them both. Just to add to the Oz egos, Tungate also always been a miserable, moaning twit. Wouldn’t want any of them at Peterborough. Come over here and think they own the place.

  6. What he was or wasn't last season is entirely irrelevant. By virtue of the Diamonds expulsion he effectively didn't exist last season. There was a lot of misinformation from the Diamonds promotion so who really knows but my understanding was that the Diamonds promotion didn't have a licence to employ work permit riders but could sign Congreve because he was able to take out an ACU licence. Not sure on what basis. There was plenty of content about it on the Diamonds 2022 thread at the time with most expecting his to be an assessed 2.00 as a result. The fact that he ended up being an assessed 4.00 didn't really matter as the Diamonds were incredibly under strength anyway. As I stated before it probably made the Diamonds line up look more acceptable than it ever was in practice. I think the key point is he couldn't have been a foreign rider because the Diamonds promotion didn't have the appropriate sponsors licence to employ such a rider. There really is no point in trying to make sense of any of this. The fact that he appears to have been given an assessed NL average which doesn't fit any known criteria tells you everything you need to know. It's all just made up to suit.

  7. Arch, you need to remember,, Poole have never had a bad rider,,, they are always brilliant, or going to be brilliant,,, and if they have a bad meeting,,, there is always an excuse why.

  13. And therein lies the problem with diluting the points limit again. Improve your average lose your place it is just a ridiculous scenario, what other sport penalises for improvement.

  14. Well done to Jack Holder new Australian champion. Good start to the new year.

  15. Doyle finished 1, 1, 1, 5 jack finished 2, 5, 2, 1 for me I prefer a scoring system that emphasises winning meetings like the Grand Prix system its like if they played the ashes and England won 4-1 but in the match the Aussies won they scored so many more runs that overall they scored the most runs and were awarded the series

  17. I'm pleased for Congreve he was well out of his depth in the championship, no idea how he has his current average but personally I can see him putting a couple of points on it. The league looks fairly strong which is good.

When you's won the money draw down at Rye House you's didnt even splash the cash... not one pint was offered... and I pulled your ticket out of the bag... Regards THJ

  21. Correct, although it would be nice if the management named the team asap to stop all the drivel being posted on here

  23. Rye House closed due to an overambitious and incompetent promotion. Some of us are still trying to repair the damage.

  26. You sure he wasn't talking about Ben? Zach will need time to settle in especially at a track like Wolves but hey his first UK track was Plymouth so probably has an idea what to expect. Plus he has Sam, Rory and Dougy to help him with set ups etc.

  27. You also said Holder “definitely 100%” wasn’t at Peterborough.

  30. Subject seems to have veered of Ablitt . I think for Nathan, as we are up to 8 teams in NDL, it will be so important that he pushes his NDL av up as soon as possible to show people that he is progressing. He firstly needs to get his gating sorted so he doesn't have to keep chasing and then with his Champ & NDL experience from last season he should be able to easily do that IF he is progressing as so many expect. On that basis then indeed he should get a Champ reserve slot sooner rather than later. I am sure that missing out on the 2020 (Covid) season and not so many meetings in 2021 has probably hindered his development for those 2 years. He did have some decent meetings if you look at his scores in 2021 on the Speedway Statistics site so there is definitely a decent rider inside of him. Just look at his scores at the bottom of his 2021 results/scores to see that. Remember he was only 17 in March 2021 so he did those as a 17 year old Just needs to push on and show all that he is more than capable.

  31. Lose 2 teams from the league and that’s 14 riders spots gone, hopefully 2024 will see more teams return? Eastbourne, Workington, WSM rebels???

  32. Well obviously it had to be TBC, as i posted it as the riders crossed the line in the final and it was a world exclusive. However i needed to cover myself in case i had made my 1st error ever- which of course i hadn`t

  33. I think Carpman is Carl Johnson personally, Could easily be Michael Tomalin though. Carpman knows the exact dates of team announcements so Carpman is clearly involved at the club.

  34. I think all Championship teams should have included at least one British 2 point average rider. Or at least one British rider under 4 point average. (as a rule)

  36. Alfie is so much better than just a CL reserve... He's probably Birmingham's best rider after Nick and Justin imo... Most likely to push on and be '3rd heatleader' although I even agree he's not that good... Very good number 2 or solid number 4 at best...

  38. Stronger in the fact we have a No 1 who should ride most weeks and not rely on Guests. Sedgeman arrived in UK late and hungry and it showed in his Racing. The only niggle with him is that at times in the past he's sat in a comfort zone. Maybe he has now matured and realised he has to give 100% all the time. Riders like Bowtell certainly ride with passion and hunger and possibly we haven't had that in the recent past. Much will depend on Neisen staying injury free and James Wright or Neilsen becoming a solid and relaible engine room.

  40. I think I’m the only non - Birmingham supporter who likes the look of there team sedgeman turned himself around massively from a season where he was dropped by both his championship and premier team into a two point increase in his average and performing well at Sheffield too. Nick Morris scored himself out of position elsewhere this season, should be getting at least 5 rides a night so I’m hoping he does well. surely everyone can agree that the side looks stronger than what I did in 2022

  41. The points limit didn't get dropped. Was always intended to be 40 for this year.

  44. Should still be an NDL rider... If a match is arranged knowing riders are already elsewhere then there should be some kind of "punishment"... Just another one of those self inflicted decisions that end up making the sport look contrived and Mickey Mouse when Bomber, Rory or Scott turn up adhoc to ride for one of the clubs on show.. There are enough issues to face given the structure of the sport in the UK without making more self inflicted ones...
