Spread a few rumours,,, at least then they can say they tried to get some good signings,,,, come on Arch play the game.4 points

The best signing that anyone could make in the NL! Between him & Boughen this year, they both showed that they’ll make a mockery of their average but Harrison starts on 2 points less. If the rest of the team is as rumoured it should be a good first year back.3 points

Agree a little bit. But just glad to have speedway back in Workington, but surely the point of the 3rd league is to bring young kids like Luke etc through the ranks, and onto hopefully bigger and better things ?? Personally I would like a team of up and coming riders gaining experience, rather than building a win at all cost team, but I know to attract a crowd you have to have a good mixture of both . Anyway good luck to all involved, looking forward to next announcement, up the comets UTC3 points

Kyle Howarth does and backs up my opinion that speedway is about winning trophies and not just about riders just doing a job to feed their family and earning money he said I want to win stuff I want trophies On my cv so all you people who have said trophies etc mean nothing and I got shot down by some on here for suggesting that was the case I rest my case.3 points

Has always been that reductions only count in the team building calculation but don't affect thd riding order - Brennan should therefore start in the 1-52 points

Has to be the average. Him and Drew slightly over 5. Though happily see Dan in the team but not my decision!2 points

I hope D Thomson is at Poole. He would learn so much there and with time and patience he would score a lot of points.2 points

Noise carries across lands/fields and may annoy, say farmers with animals. On the IOW I am informed that they are restricted to an 9.30pm end for racing for noise reasons, but there is a lady councellor who lives miles down the valley from the track who carefully monitors the noise after 9.30pm. A lot of promotions are monitored especially if there are people/organisations who can take advantage of the noise problems.2 points

Done my bit, though we didn't get off to a good start! The presenter of the programme, Steve Scruton, rang me on Wednesday to ask me if I could take part in the programme. He said the only track he knew about was Rayleigh and asked me if I ever went there. I told him that I only went there once or twice. So, he started off the interview with me this morning by saying he understood I was a regular at Rayleigh and must have lots of memories of the place that I could talk about. Doh!!!2 points

That’s daft it’s been proven it was not a recreational drug he was daft for exceeding dosages of painkillers and the Plymouth promotion took him to a clinic for a drug test to prove it was just that and nothing more so I think your comment is frankly out of order like someone else has said if your in that much pain who knows what we all would do in the same circumstances.1 point

Just wondering if the desired effect of lowering the team building average has been achieved, because I don’t see a single number 1 from last season not riding in the championship again. That is if the goal was to increase the Gap between championship and premiership teams. Sam masters and Nick Morris are retained with over 10 point averages. All that teams seem to have done is reduce the experience in the Reserves to maintain the big hitters from last year. it’s the high four and five pointers that seem to be team less at the moment, Ruhml,Broc,Connor,Morley,Dan Thomson………. Is this a good thing? Are the two pointer reserves getting flung in at the deep end?1 point

What does "out and out" actually mean? Sounds like a bulls**t expression, used by people but with no clear meaning. A rider's either a number one or not. Defined by his CMA1 point

No. Edinburgh, Plymouth and Poole are the only possible landing spots. Surely he's at Poole?1 point

The tracks I have on my list to talk about are High Beech, Dagenham, West Ham, Rayleigh, Walthamstow, Lea Bridge and Arena Essex/Lakeside. Romford is a bit of a funny one because it was in Essex until 1965 but, there was no speedway there until 1969, by which time it was in London! Although there was a team called Romford before the War which operated from the Dagenham track. The researcher I spoke to, thought I also ought to mention Rye House as it is very close to Essex and a lot of Essexians (or whatever we are called) would have gone there.1 point

You know as well as everyone else why Howarth signed for Plymouth and it has nothing to do with trophies, it’s stuff he wants, stuff you can buy things with.1 point

Except it’s only that far under budget due to Hume getting a 25% reduction, real-time achieved averages it wouldn’t fit! So not exactly that weak is it1 point

Until 1965 Walthamstow, West Ham and Dagenham were in Essex, with Lea Bridge/Clapton on the border of Essex and Middlesex.1 point

I'm not saying they would. Lisa asked question of she'd missed something I merely said it was discussed few weeks back. Don't need to get your knickers in a twist1 point

A good 1st signing, other tracks will not be happy,to miss this signing, if any comets fans have lost touch with speedway Luke was very good last year as a 15 year old , got a good future in front of him1 point

Same as go west... why west? Why not go east ? Maybe Ipswich should go east and look in a right field for a new signing...1 point

I would hardly call £1 a meeting increase irresponsible with all the increased costs. I can’t see that being a factor in maintaining the crowd level in itself.1 point

Interesting business decision. Sign Rory Schlein and slap on a 50% increase on admission charges for the majority of your spectators. Likely to lose some attendees completely, some will only turn up occasionally, and some may continue to attend. Net increase in gate receipts is doubtful…… A modest increase may have been more effective ?1 point

I'm not a Berwick fan but the difference between Bomber and Rooboy is pretty simple and it's not averages (of the oh so many the sport gives us) Rooboy has had a season out so will probably take time to get into the swing of things. Having read on this thread that he's not got a great record at Berwick. Known to whinge if it's too wet or grippy and it hardly ever rains in Berwick. Whereas Bomber would race on a ploughed field in a monsoon and still come into the pits with a big grin1 point
