Spread a few rumours,,, at least then they can say they tried to get some good signings,,,, come on Arch play the game.4 points

The best signing that anyone could make in the NL! Between him & Boughen this year, they both showed that they’ll make a mockery of their average but Harrison starts on 2 points less. If the rest of the team is as rumoured it should be a good first year back.3 points

Agree a little bit. But just glad to have speedway back in Workington, but surely the point of the 3rd league is to bring young kids like Luke etc through the ranks, and onto hopefully bigger and better things ?? Personally I would like a team of up and coming riders gaining experience, rather than building a win at all cost team, but I know to attract a crowd you have to have a good mixture of both . Anyway good luck to all involved, looking forward to next announcement, up the comets UTC3 points

Kyle Howarth does and backs up my opinion that speedway is about winning trophies and not just about riders just doing a job to feed their family and earning money he said I want to win stuff I want trophies On my cv so all you people who have said trophies etc mean nothing and I got shot down by some on here for suggesting that was the case I rest my case.3 points

Has always been that reductions only count in the team building calculation but don't affect thd riding order - Brennan should therefore start in the 1-52 points

Has to be the average. Him and Drew slightly over 5. Though happily see Dan in the team but not my decision!2 points

I hope D Thomson is at Poole. He would learn so much there and with time and patience he would score a lot of points.2 points

Noise carries across lands/fields and may annoy, say farmers with animals. On the IOW I am informed that they are restricted to an 9.30pm end for racing for noise reasons, but there is a lady councellor who lives miles down the valley from the track who carefully monitors the noise after 9.30pm. A lot of promotions are monitored especially if there are people/organisations who can take advantage of the noise problems.2 points

Done my bit, though we didn't get off to a good start! The presenter of the programme, Steve Scruton, rang me on Wednesday to ask me if I could take part in the programme. He said the only track he knew about was Rayleigh and asked me if I ever went there. I told him that I only went there once or twice. So, he started off the interview with me this morning by saying he understood I was a regular at Rayleigh and must have lots of memories of the place that I could talk about. Doh!!!2 points

Just wondering if the desired effect of lowering the team building average has been achieved, because I don’t see a single number 1 from last season not riding in the championship again. That is if the goal was to increase the Gap between championship and premiership teams. Sam masters and Nick Morris are retained with over 10 point averages. All that teams seem to have done is reduce the experience in the Reserves to maintain the big hitters from last year. it’s the high four and five pointers that seem to be team less at the moment, Ruhml,Broc,Connor,Morley,Dan Thomson………. Is this a good thing? Are the two pointer reserves getting flung in at the deep end?1 point

Depends which reduction 2.5% yes 8% no So the correct answer is that it'll be whatever the rulebook says, so we are going to be waiting another month ir two for a definitive answer.1 point

Until 1965 Walthamstow, West Ham and Dagenham were in Essex, with Lea Bridge/Clapton on the border of Essex and Middlesex.1 point

Now it might never come to anything, but the Facebook post very much said it would not be a sole purpose speedway arena and could be used for a number of events. There are a couple of sites on the agenda so a certain amount of homework has gone into it and to see how viable that is. The previous promotion of the speedway club were absolutely fantastic… until the final year or so and then into covid. A really sad and very abrupt end with various excuses given at the time other than “we had an offer we couldn’t refuse”1 point

Connor held his own at reserve for Sheffield and would be able to handle the number 6 spot. Regularly won heat 2 home or away and picked up plenty of scalps in heats 4 and latter heats1 point

He's not strong enough to be a No.6 though imo. No.6's include riders like Kerr, Jakobsen, Rew & Brennan.1 point

I'm not saying they would. Lisa asked question of she'd missed something I merely said it was discussed few weeks back. Don't need to get your knickers in a twist1 point

Lewy would say that wouldn't he , I did say that , much rather have Kyle Newman1 point

Same as go west... why west? Why not go east ? Maybe Ipswich should go east and look in a right field for a new signing...1 point

Has had to become an expert at defending his position because he's painfully slow nowadays. Saw him at Peterborough a few times and it was sad to see him fall away so much1 point

Team looks good, especially at home. Personally I'd have gone for a stronger "rising star" Connor Bailey?1 point

I would hardly call £1 a meeting increase irresponsible with all the increased costs. I can’t see that being a factor in maintaining the crowd level in itself.1 point

Hard to see any partnership with football working. Unless you go below tier 5 it would be a very unequal partnership, and football fans expect to be near the action so having a speedway track between them and the racing is likely to be unpopular. Speedway tied itself to greyhound racing for 50+ years and that has been fraught with problems as greyhounds declined. A stadium that would meet with Cov City's requirements would cost north of £20 million. Who's going to come up with speedway's share of that (either up front or via stratospheric rents?)1 point

I`ve had a season pass for the last five season, including the one cancelled by Covid, its very very unlikely I will be getting one for next season. I will attend the first meeting or two then see how things are going. £20 to watch Championship speedway is way way over the top IMO.1 point
