Spread a few rumours,,, at least then they can say they tried to get some good signings,,,, come on Arch play the game.4 points

The best signing that anyone could make in the NL! Between him & Boughen this year, they both showed that they’ll make a mockery of their average but Harrison starts on 2 points less. If the rest of the team is as rumoured it should be a good first year back.3 points

Agree a little bit. But just glad to have speedway back in Workington, but surely the point of the 3rd league is to bring young kids like Luke etc through the ranks, and onto hopefully bigger and better things ?? Personally I would like a team of up and coming riders gaining experience, rather than building a win at all cost team, but I know to attract a crowd you have to have a good mixture of both . Anyway good luck to all involved, looking forward to next announcement, up the comets UTC3 points

Kyle Howarth does and backs up my opinion that speedway is about winning trophies and not just about riders just doing a job to feed their family and earning money he said I want to win stuff I want trophies On my cv so all you people who have said trophies etc mean nothing and I got shot down by some on here for suggesting that was the case I rest my case.3 points

Has always been that reductions only count in the team building calculation but don't affect thd riding order - Brennan should therefore start in the 1-52 points

Has to be the average. Him and Drew slightly over 5. Though happily see Dan in the team but not my decision!2 points

I hope D Thomson is at Poole. He would learn so much there and with time and patience he would score a lot of points.2 points

Noise carries across lands/fields and may annoy, say farmers with animals. On the IOW I am informed that they are restricted to an 9.30pm end for racing for noise reasons, but there is a lady councellor who lives miles down the valley from the track who carefully monitors the noise after 9.30pm. A lot of promotions are monitored especially if there are people/organisations who can take advantage of the noise problems.2 points

Done my bit, though we didn't get off to a good start! The presenter of the programme, Steve Scruton, rang me on Wednesday to ask me if I could take part in the programme. He said the only track he knew about was Rayleigh and asked me if I ever went there. I told him that I only went there once or twice. So, he started off the interview with me this morning by saying he understood I was a regular at Rayleigh and must have lots of memories of the place that I could talk about. Doh!!!2 points

When he was announced I thought we had got a hair stylist in to make the team photo look better.1 point

Scream I think you are being a little silly. Barker has been a good rider for Plymouth i personally think he was silly with what he took but who is to say what I would do if in pain. I do not think it is even benefit of the doubt.1 point

Got mine today. As bsn explained it would be actually cheaper than this season had they not had to register for and add VAT.1 point

Zagar has not got a Polish ride(yet) but has signed a " Warsaw contract" with Torun- which means if anyone comes in for him he can sign for them.1 point

Tate Zischke finished 3rd in 1st round of Aussie Championship today behind Fricke & Sedgmen https://speedwaynews.pl/zuzel/fricke-broni-mistrzostwo-kapitalna-forma-zuzlowca/ Far better use of 4 points that Lee Complin; if he's willing to come to the UK1 point

Ryan555 I stand corrected. I was basing my comment on the averages shown in the 2023 Signings topic, which states the 2.5% reductions had been applied in the team listings. This was not the case for Lambert and Mountain. Added a comment to the topic so the correct averages can be applied. Looks like a new calculator is not needed for Xmas after all.1 point

Not really, as has been said before they aren't coming to Poole anyway. But would be good to see him ride in the UK, Champ or Prem.1 point

Phil Herne and Finn Jensen from the early 1980's come easily to mind.1 point

Absolute nonsense. He’s one of the highest averaged riders in the NL ahead of Stoneman, Coles, Atkins, Killeen, Pijper, Mulford etc. He hasn’t progressed as much as we all thought he would but he averages over 4 around Armadale so hopefully this will be the season he kicks on.1 point

No way is Brennan ahead of Lidsey. In my view no comparison- don`t forget Lidsey holds his own in the top leagues in Poland and Sweden.1 point

Due to work commitments I cannot make every meeting. This season when my son went it was £22 for us both. Next season due to him having just turned 16 it will now be £40. Will make it difficult for families to attend with no student or concession prices.1 point

Part of the problem is that if you are working on a Saturday and finish late you haven't time to faff around organising on line tickets before setting off to travel. Also might have other commitments leading to last minute decision to go and in both cases you are penalised through no fault of your own. Maybe not a problem for the likes of Mr Barrie whose whole existence revolves around speedway but the powers that be should maybe accept not everyone is like that.1 point

My team Plymouth are doing no concessions this year either due to people abusing it last year but are keeping admission prices the same as last year as the promoter said he understands the climate we are in and all facing.1 point
