The change in the calculation of the Green Sheets from 20 matches, down to 10 is the problem. A sample of 20 matches reflects consistency, whereas the smaller sample is more likely to be skewed by a couple of very good form or very poor form scores. In 2022, Lawson averaged 6.75 from 19 Prem matches. His Green Sheet from the last 10 is 7.91 ... his average from the first 9 was 5.56 ...5 points

You said you’d have a meltdown if Bomber signed……and then you go and bring up the Batch word??? Do you want the rest of us to have a meltdown?….lol4 points

That is most definitely correct and I don’t see how Brandon estates get around the loss of the stadium argument. of course they can just sit on it for another decade. hopefully they will get hammered in the courts next week.4 points

One or two rumours around that Lynn will be entering a team into the NL next season? Various Tweets from Alex Brady might back up the theory. Presumably the likes of Jody Scott, Sam Hagon, Elliott Kelly, Ryan Kinsley, and Ashton Boughen might be in the frame for a team place if so. Thoughts?3 points

"We did consider moving to Calcot but unfortunately Terry and Clark had to stop to relieve themselves during the journey, and consequently the drive took 47 minutes, so outside of our requirements. We keep trying. We're doing all we can."3 points

Only one person mentioned Rory Schlein going to Poole, someone renowned for getting bites off the Poole fans3 points

Well it is the silly season, have to wait and see. I would be very disappointed if he didn't return, he certainly gave everything when it mattered most.2 points

It's TJ at Berwick. He's probably seen the photo of Middlo and Bomber at yesterday's WSRA Dinner!2 points

Sounds very promising! I guess when it went in 2018, no one would of predicted us even talking about a return, remarkable. Just my thoughts of course, but Speedway, especially for this new venture, should be ran in the summer/warmer months, unlike the shambles that descended the '22 Championship season. That leaves us with something like this... (in an ideal world, that doesn't exist) 17 Weekends, Running May to End of August; 9 Home League meetings (KL possibly joining) 1 Home KO Meeting Individual Meeting 3 more Sundays...? NDLRC or Pairs? British youth championship round Under 19 final / Under 21 Semi final? Means 14/17 weekends running speedway, giving room for rain offs etc. However of course, rider availabilty will always be a problem at this level, more so the opposition! Then run into September if team progresses in League playoffs / KO Final etc.2 points

No, they're looking for a site within a 45 minute drive of Swindon Town centre, ie in Swindon not Bristol or Reading? I'm the eternal optimist until all is lost Thank goodness the Coventry group have continued to believe eh!!2 points

I said it would be good but doubt very much if it would happen nevertheless one can look live in hope but does it really justify being shot down in flames for simply making a comment? The sport needs to cut costs and start encouraging the grass roots and it could well do without some of those who think the sport owes them a living and believe that they deserve a guaranteed income. The grass roots use to come from grass track but the sport has priced so much talent out of competing and the inability of the current crop of riders and the sports governors to think outside the box and see the racing for what it is is the major problem as to why it is on its knees in this country. U K speedway cannot and does not compete with the likes of Poland and frankly it is a shambles as long as people look at reasons why things cannot change such as ‘where are all the extra NDL standard riders coming from’ it will continue to be in a crap state.1 point

2023 ALL SYSTEMS GO! Ladies and Gentlemen we have a rather generous amount of 2023 news to share with you all this evening! Joining Leon Flint Racing as confirmed FTS Bandits so far for 2023 will be the following riders Thomas Jorgensen Jonas Knudsen Jye Etheridge Nathan Stoneman We are delighted to welcome back all 5 Shielfield Park heroes for the upcoming season. Thomas Jørgensen Racing was amongst the most spectacular and popular home riders in recent memory in his previous stints as a Bandit and we can’t wait to see TJ back in action Local hero Leon Flint will proudly skipper the side & Jonas Knudsen will look to continue his rocket like trajectory alongside our super popular local based Aussie Jye Etheridge and the ‘never give up’ heroics of Nathan Stoneman. After scooping all of the awards on Friday night we learned that Chris 'Bomber' Harris is unable to commit to Championship Saturday nights in 2023 due to a very busy international racing schedule and we wish Chris, his family and his team all the very best. We were fully aware that the Bomber could only commit initially to 2022 and we are grateful for a thrilling season from one of the greatest ever! Stay tuned this week for some big sponsorship announcements via all Berwick Speedway1 point

Haha was looking at riders that might be available around the 7 average believe it or not he's the only one. It's only 3 years since he was top averaged riders in prem. Some day that riders going to come out again you'd think?1 point

After the semi final issues, I don’t think Richard wants to be anywhere near Glasgow. The only way Poole would let that happen if maybe a swap for Tom.1 point

Would be good if Ipswich entered a team and then you have some real rivalry/local derbies with Kings Lynn, Mildenhall and Ipswich and if the top league organised themselves better surely Foxhall could host a team in the lower division. We live in hope.1 point

Don’t really see the attraction in Complin,an entertainer but is well past his best at Championship level. The sport is dropping that much in Standard that he is a sought after rider.Sad IMO. They keep talking about young talent, yet not many are getting a fair go.1 point

...and nearly sold Oxford down the river back in 1975. His name is "reviled" for those who remember. As for Bristol Speedway at Eastville we know what a farce that turned out to be where planning permission hadn't been sought. Don't recall him having anything to do with White City however (?) That was a Dugard/Dunton enterprise.1 point

Buoyed by the good news regarding the failed planning proposal there was a great turn-out at the NSSC last night to see ex-Bee Martin Smolinski. Very interesting talk about his recovery from the severe hip injuries and his future plans. He also pledged to compete in the Brandon re-opening meeting for no payment! The Save Coventry Stadium committee were roundly applauded for their efforts and vowed to challenge any potential appeal from Brandon Estates with as much vigour as they had in opposing the previous attempts to build housing on the land. Nice emotional speech from Tony Gillias too.1 point
