This comment is crazy! I’m no Poole fan, and some of the Poole fans on here do leave a bit of a sour taste in the mouth, but I’ve still got respect for the club and the way it’s run. Would never want to actually see a club close, we need as many as possible these days. Plus, without rivalries, the sport would be an even duller prospect.6 points

Which one? As I as one of the track curators, I have never met you, have never spoken to you, have never msg you, so would be very interested how you get your information?5 points

‘RELIVE THE GLADIATORS & CENTURIONS 2022 SEASON WITH GLADIATORS TV REWIND’ With the Gladiators and Centurions 2022 season complete and the British Speedway season drawing to a close, Gladiators TV will be keeping the action going throughout the off season on Tuesday nights by rewinding back to March and streaming the 2022 season home matches. Every home match, in order without bias from the 2022 season will be Premiered on our Gladiators TV partners ‘Speedway Portal’ YouTube channel, Tuesday nights starting at 7pm. Plymouth Promoter Mark Phillips said, “Gladiators TV has been a great success in its first season for Plymouth Speedway. We managed to Live stream, along with BSN, every home match promoting both teams with minimal issues throughout the year. By showing our Reruns of those meetings, we can promote our club and sport further afield and bring more exposure to our sponsors who have shown us great commitment throughout the season. It also gives fans across the country who haven’t yet watched our streams a chance to experience the Gladiators TV productions in preparation for the 2023 season.” Rewind streams begin this coming Tuesday (Nov 1st) at 7pm with the Centurions vs Kent ‘Royals’ via the link below. In the meantime, why not check out the Press & Practise footage streamed Live back in March.3 points

BSN do seem much more Professional than their BSP counterparts don't they? Similar to the Speedway Star in that the sport is very lucky indeed to have such media outlets bringing it onto screens and in print... The quality of both productions often belies the subject matter they get to work with...3 points

Having just posted that... I've now received an email from BSN telling me it won't be staged and I'm getting a refund. You would have thought BSPL would have been first with the news!3 points

Hi both. Could you please check your spam to see if it has landed there? If not, then please check to make sure that you haven’t unsubscribed from our emails (this would be if you had selected not to receive any marketing from us). An email was sent to everyone who purchased a BSN+ Bundle from us this morning, once we had received the news. I would recommend adding our group email account address (BSN@no-reply.uscreen.io) as a safe sender, so that your email doesn’t block them coming through. Regards, Ben Duffill (BSN)2 points

My only problem was that you said it was information from a trackman at Leicester, People can post what they like and what they think is right , I work all day, then straight to the track after work most nights, so don't have time to read everything, I was alerted to you post by phone call today, that's why I reacted to it. In fact I have had to read about 9 pages just to catch up with it all. Please be more careful with who you credit your information from.2 points

Yes I have seen this post, but unless you know differently Flagrag is not a track curator at Leicester, so your post is miss leading. Yes several of his comments are incorrect.2 points

Poole did win in 2011. Coventry finished rock bottom. Poole finished 24 points about Coventry in 2010 but they had Shamek at reserve after some very dodgy manipulation.2 points

That's definitely not "down to the base". There's a fair amount of tyre packed material on there, probably more than you'd see at the dust bowl with the ruts at Poole in 5 seasons. Nice bit of material for those who aren't gating tarts to use if the weather plays ball.2 points

I would take him as a No.5 if he we have a big hitting No.1 who'll get you 10+ a meeting. But I wouldn't take him if we had a hit or miss No.1.2 points

That’s a massive improvement. Looks like the Poole track though a little slicker. Not surprising considering the weather due tomorrow. Feeling confident this will go ahead. Come on Pirates, no mistakes. Back to back titles. We deserve it.2 points

What a fetid piece of work you really are2 points

Just like last year! And probably next year if Poole are involved2 points

Such an arrogant comment from a Plymouth fan whose club had more rain-offs than guests (Not really eh?!)2 points
-
It doesn’t matter how much it rains in the next two days if the track has now been bladed off to base. Thursday and Friday are dry days. They can put a dressing down on Friday morning and be good to go. No reason now why this won’t go ahead.2 points

That is the trouble with the written word! Also why I try to use the emojis to show in what context I mean it!2 points

Because you are an absolute skidmark, thats why.2 points

I am sorry if I have misled anyone I don’t believe i have ever credited myself as track curator in fact totally the opposite I would much rather be warm in an office than driving round on a tractor. BTFC Lion is the main man on the track putting in the graft and deserves a medal for the hours that he has been putting in this season , I was simply commenting on the information that was provided to me about plans to try to get the meeting on for Friday in an attempt to reassure fans that fingers crossed this weeks rain will not damage the track as much this week.1 point

Not correct, go back through the posts, the only thing I put on this forum was why the back straight and corner looked such a mess due to having to take water from the drains and off the track to dispose of it all outside, I have not posted since then !!1 point

Sad news...I best remember him as the Swindon Team Manager during the early seventies. RIP1 point

No, they didn’t. But they were all contacted to tell them they need to make their own arrangements to get to Leicester as there are no coaches running. The Poole promotion took a hit in the thousands with the double cancellation of 3 coaches. Still plenty making the journey up but not in the numbers of last Saturday or Sunday. My guess is BSN are the big winners.1 point

Sounds like you are talking from experience which is definitely TMI. At least our track is bigger than a roundabout1 point

Dick was one of my earliest heroes in his Southampton days. I was lucky enough to meet up with him at the Speedway Bash at Sammy Miller's Museum in New Milton in 2008. What a fantastic age. You will be remembered with fondness.1 point

I therefore claim Elite League Championships for Poole 2010 and 2012 :-) . It will get settled on the track I'm sure - just not putting a date or year to it lol1 point

Please excuse me if this has already been chewed over, but.... Weds 12th Poole v Redcar, KO cup final Sat 15th Leicester Cubs v Mildenhall KO cup final. Presumably Leicester and Poole already confirmed as playoff finalists by then. So why wasn't the final run on those dates??1 point

I don't know,,,I was just showing how good a team we could have,,,but I think budget will dictate we only have one top rider.1 point

How old was Hancock when he won his last World title ? Not suggesting Becker is at that level, but he has time. Also virtually 2 years lost through covid.1 point

They are just trolls. Every day we are around to annoy them and make them angry is a great day1 point

Bearing in mind that play off and ko Cup meetings don't count towards final averages I would have thought those published for October are the final ones!?1 point

Sad confused and bitter. As for wishing a club to close that's just plain stupid and out of order. We're quite used to the jealous, envy and hate - it comes with a fair degree of success. Ask any speedway promoter if their attendance increases when Poole visit. It's a Yes from me ... and them.1 point
-
The track will be maintained and prepared as the weather alllows this week. Also I believe as long as deemed safe by match day referee and SCB track inspector (Who also happens to be Poole’s track curator) then the riders will be told to get on with it and get the meeting completed . Yes it may be heavy in places , may be wet spots hopefully not too many bumps but will be the same for all riders so they will have to use their skills and entertain the fans.1 point
-
I would have thought it was fairly obvious, the less matches that count the more GSA can be manipulated.1 point
-
No it isn't. the median is the mid-point, excluding top and bottom will not alter the median, but they will alter the mean. As you exclude more and more scoes (top and bottom two, then top and bottom three etc) the average will converge on the median, but just excluding one does not turn it into the median .e.g. scores of 6,9,9,10,10,10,10 Median = 10 Mean = 9.14 Average excluding outliers = 9.6 Average excluding two outliers = 9.67 Average excluding 3 outliers = 101 point

With all these endless, tedious debates, you’d think it actually matters and the winners get a prize.1 point

I'm in same boat mate, still waiting for my copy to arrive, fair enough though, I did read that they had over 1,000 orders for signed copies, which is great, here's hoping we get ours soon. It will be great to read what PC has to say about his racing career and I'll no doubt reminisce about the big occasions I got to witness over the years, he was the best of the best bar none for me.1 point

Why does everyone always want to keep lambert he’s dreadful away from home and he ain’t going to get better, being a good team man alone don’t win you trophies.1 point
