Doubt it - certainly not got any better since I retired from attending meetings 3 years ago. Hottest and driest summer since 1066 and still the same old problem trying to run meetings in early winter on c****y wet tracks in c**p weather for the spectators. Never any urgency to complete the fixtures in summer - every club trots out lame excuses. No one is interested in solving the problem as the mushrooms* that are speedway supporters will turn up regardless to fill the piggy bank of the “promoters” * fed on s**t and kept in the dark.7 points

Shovel face has too be the most obnoxious self opinionated twit I’ve ever had the misfortune to read comments from he’s also the reason many fans hate Poole speedway4 points

Old Bob speaking 100% truth here. I've been saying for years that they should rattle through the league, and hold the play off finals on the August Bank Holiday. Can move into September as a last resort. But no. Every year we fannny about in the cold and wet when nobody is interested and the racing is a lottery because riders are rusty and conditions are poor. Sadly it will never change.3 points

Better off ignoring him. He must have repetitive strain syndrome with the same unsubstantiated guff he writes on here. If we come to tapes in 2023, that’s all that matters.3 points

Lambert and Bewley could have ridden in the UK instead of for Smederna if they'd wished to.3 points

Hopefully something good will come out of this whole debacle and Play Off meeting will be arranged far, far earlier next season.3 points

I think it goes to golden heats if it's a draw after the 30 heats.2 points

Perhaps here are too many competitions placing pressure on the more successful clubs. Those who make the play-offs will invariably reach the latter stages of other competitions as well hence the situation we are in now. By contrast, those who didn't find their seasons effectively over by the end of August in some cases just padding it out by running open meetings or, those who run NDL teams, able to use some of the remaining dates. Some years ago an attempt was made to address this situation. The top six teams went into the play-offs as now and the remaining clubs entered a second competition. Perhaps this instead of a Jubilee league ( this year) or what similar event we've had in the past or in the future might be a solution.2 points

I think some promoters do see the flaws, but they know they can use those flaws to their advantage at certain points in the season. So they choose to turn a blind eye to it and hope others don't object to it.Then if more promoters want the flawed rule than not it will be voted in anyway. This is why we need an independent body set up.2 points

Very good. But I've heard they are going to call it "Au Revoir to Armadale" just to cover all the bases.2 points

Think you will find this well, attended function went down very well with those that were there, I believe the supporters club raised a fair amount of money to help the club2 points

It is so ironic that the main stated business of the Bates's company, PBHS (or similar initials), is water collection and treatment.2 points

Whoever made these arrangements, and I don't care if it was Poole or Leicester, really should be asking themselves why the pay off finals were not held sooner. I was shocked when I saw that Poole were riding in the KO Cup on Wednesday the 12th and the Cubs were riding at BP on Saturday the 15th... Why?!?2 points

So it seems the Premiership Junior League has been forgotten about. The Southern section only completed 2 out of the scheduled 6 matches & no final has been raced. It's a pretty poor effort when you consider clubs only had to host TWO six heat junior matches this season but half the teams couldn't even do that!2 points

Undoubtedly a lot of people know this happens nearly every season but trying to rectify or voice your concerns over this matter make you a "Keyboard Warrior ". Can't see it ever being sorted personally and no doubt this time next year we'll be discussing the same situation.1 point

League cut off was early September that is now 7 weeks ago and still waiting for a completion. Think bspa and promotions need to do a lot of head banging so it does not happen again, but this was said in 2018 when comets won the treble in the last week of the season with the last league match iced off !!1 point

Read what the BSPL statement says. The SCB would like to apologise to the Wolverhampton Team at the Premiership Pairs Round 5 at Belle Vue on Thursday 27th October where an error was made in the calcification of the results for the semi finals, where on the countback system Wolverhampton should have qualified for the race off. Three teams tied on 20 points however the SCB Regulations quite clearly states as per SCB Regulation 016.1.3 - "If more than a two way tie the team with the highest scoring heat results will qualify" Under this regulation between the three tied teams Wolverhampton, Peterborough and Sheffield, this meant Sheffield finshed in 5th position having not scored any 6 - 3 results in their favour, where as both Wolverhampton and Peterborough had one race each with a 6-3 advantage. Wolverhampton and Peterborough also had one race each of a 5-4 advantage. Thereafter Wolverhampton had one race with a score of 4-5 where as Peterborough other three races were all scores of 3-6, meaning that Wolverhampton should have qualified with a higher scoring heat results. So the 5th round positions will be adjusted to the following - 1st Belle Vue 2nd Ipswich 3rd Wolverhampton 4th Peterborough 5th Sheffield They say the rules were not followed and from my reading of the rules, I have to agree with the BSPL on this occasion.1 point

Great point. They should abandon plans for next season for this very reason. So many mugs in speedway it’s unreal.1 point

Having spoken on the subject to some of the members of the Save Coventry Stadium group, I can appreciate that they are fully on top of things so I think it best not to complicate things for them by e-mailing individual councillors. The group have done a great job so far, and will continue to do so, so the campaign is by no means over just yet.1 point
