So has Lambert now doubled Fricke's maximums this season from 2 matches.I think he has strengthened the Aces don't most of us agree.A class above anyone on show and that would have included Fricke too.Plus Lambert has done it against Sheffield and Ipswich. He didn't have the chance to race Peterborough ,Lynn or Wolves where he would have undoubtedly got more.7 points

Sheffield lost it when the bspa bottled it over lanbert!6 points

If BV don’t win the final it will be a massive choke. Especially with signing Lambert. They are clear favourites.5 points

As a family we chose not to let Luke get an average and certainly wouldn't of been swayed by any club dictating about the volume of meetings he would or wouldn't compete in . Our decisions are based on his development5 points

The forum is full of them, especially folk saying the tie is 'done' after 10 heats. Quite enjoyed that tonight, feel Aces will miss Wright at Owlerton and on that basis 12 may not be enough, especially if Etheridge's replacement scores 000. That said BV's top three could get the best part of the required 40 between them so all to play for. FWIW I thought Holder deserved to go in heat 5, he put himself into a gap that was never going to be big enough. He was poor tonight, a very average and arrogant speedway rider stealing a living in Poland and the GP's.4 points

And BV fans think Lambert is on the same level as Fricke LMAO! Lambert is 10 times the rider Fricke is.4 points

But Play off’s are over two legs same as a cup competition they are referring to the final league positions over a season. Leicester 1st Glasgow 2nd Not really difficult to understand is it. Oh wait I just realised who I was quoting , maybe it is too difficult.4 points

Got 2/3's of the way through the gap that was only closed by the rider on the outside who still had 3m of track to his right4 points

I thought Wright was at fault there as he leaned to the left.4 points

Simple solution to end the gardening.....2 mins goes on for every single race at the end of the 2mins the green light goes on, if you not ready excluded. If you want to garden then get to the tapes in plenty of time4 points

A 6 team league and still unable to organise and fufill outstanding fixtures is shocking really4 points

Conditions of bung require Swindon speedway 2013 to hold on to reins(Swindon motorsports) for a enough time for Gi to realise their asset and then there nothing left when promoter hands back club4 points

Think you can only use IRR if a rider hasn't had 3 rides.3 points

So Belle Vue legend, Robert Lambert, who has ridden a grand total of 2 meetings so far, leads them to the title. (Nothing against Lambert he is, as he proved tonight, a fantastic rider). Tainted win.3 points

Being in front so you cant be at fault for a crash must be one of speedways greatest myths3 points

What annoys me is when the riders get called back for a false start they go through the procedure of topping up tanks and adjusting chains, etc., and this is after just a few dozen yards of racing. All riders should go straight back to the start, all bikes should have enough fuel in them for this eventuality and as for adjusting chains and clutches it should be the same for them all if none of this play acting took place. Nobody should be allowed to have a full service and MOT. False start = 1 minute for ALL riders to get back to the tapes.3 points

The biggest thrill of speedway is a dam good close race with a few good passes to get the blood pumping we love it.Its why we go to the speedway its why people come back time and again its why a newby will come back again. So, what do a lot of promoters do cut corners on the most important thing in speedway the track. They buy crap cheaper shale some don't seem to maintain the track as well as they should and then the racing suffers, and they then wonder why the crowds are down. It's sad to see a once thriving sport keep shooting itself in the foot.3 points

Why even bother with the forum then? Just walk sway and find anther interest, you couldnt pay me to go to cricket but i wouldnt dream of commenting on their forums3 points

I tipped Glasgow at the start of the season and I'd argue that with the same injury luck as Leicester & Poole they'd have done it, losing Ostergaard & Hume absolutely knocked the stuffing out of them and Cook has never been the same since his cluster of summer knocks and crashes.3 points

Poole are proving themselves to be a good cup team, nothing more. The 2 best teams in the league were Leicester and Glasgow and that's a fact3 points

From my limited viewing of speedway in the past few weeks - nothing I have seen will tempt me back to trackside to watch riders endlessly gardening at every start ….lack of any “racing” just very fast “riding”. One sided meeting pa with the result never in doubt despite the constant “bigging it up” by the TV commentators. FTG features in all but a few heats. Not for me anymore.3 points

Its not thou .. Terry Russell has closed Swindon down without even asking anybody for help or asking if anyone wanted a go . Terry Russell should not decide if Swindon time as a club is over . The thing your right about is that its purely business . As most people know he took a bung to flush Swindon history and hope down the drain3 points

If Wright isn't fit for Thursday they can still bring in a decent guest from Lynn imo.Pickering or Worrall would be a decent shout.Etheridge they would have to go into the Championship or a R/S.But i don't think they would miss him anyway away from the NSS.2 points

Try 15x the money, better rides no trick tracks. No way Lambert or Bewley would be anywhere near where they are if the hadn't dropped UK.2 points

The fascinating thing about this match is that there are riders on both teams who can step up to the plate and win the title for their team, Wright, Brennan and Blodorn for the Aces and Howarth, Ellis and Mountain for Sheffield. It could be a classic final and should bring some great racing in both legs.2 points

When they come to the tapes at Poole on the 21st it will have been four weeks since the Lions last rode as a team whilst during the same period Pirates will have had 5 fixtures. Whilst appreciating that the Lions Riders will have ridden in a few Premiership & NDL fixtures for other teams (which as we all know none speedway folk find difficult to comprehend) not being together as a team for such a long period of time will be a handicap come the first leg & something that favors Poole in being able to gain a decent first leg advantage. Let's hope this aspect doesn't greatly impact on the "occasion" - but it will most probably do so.2 points

Sorry has speedway in any thou regards.. mucking around at the tapes was much worst in the old days just as many one sided meetings and the racing was just the same.. racing at Belle Vue has product better than we have ever seen in the speedway...Speedway is poor in the uk for many reasons but don't understand what your going on about2 points
-
Really can't see either of the Sheffield reserves getting much tonight, better at Sheffield maybe but who is beating Blodorn or Etheridge tonight? I can see Blodorn being much better at Sheffield than previously as now he has more experience at British tracks, he even did quite well at Ipswich recently.2 points

The Mickey Mouse nature it often appears to be ran in, 100% impacts the many thousands of fans who will still turn up to watch "proper Speedway" both here and overseas each season.. Yet wont travel even a few miles regularly to watch their local team... And it would certainly, I would suggest, impact any potential "large" sponsors coming into the sport given their name will be linked publicly to a "brand" that often looks amateurish in its self regulation and process management.. It is interesting to see the way riders at the higher levels, and national teams, seem to get backing from bigger companies yet the league itself doesnt seem to have any company interested... Many of the issues are down to a lack of "serious money" in the sport in the UK. Unfortunately when everything looks so contrived at times, you wont ever get that investment into it..2 points
