I think he will need to... A win for the Aces will cement their place in the play offs... Oh. Hang on a minute...5 points

The problem was caused by the promoters themselves by having two team building rules that contradicted each other when Bluster became chairman he was going to rip up the rule book and simplify it but of course that didn’t happen. The rules need to be written by a professional with a legal background so the rules are concise and without loopholes in theory if zagar sprains his wrist that could be deemed as a season ending injury as we only have three weeks remaining. So in theory Belle vue could sign zsmarslik to replace him on a 8pt average. ii want to make it clear Belle vue have done nothing wrong at all. The rules are at fault as they are Ill thought out and applied at will. we desperately need a independent ruling body to run our sport before they kill it off.4 points

Can’t afford it don’t do it imo. You know what you’ve signed up for. As said in another post can’t just pick and choose when you feel like riding or travelling to. If serious about it you’d want as much track time and riding different tracks as possible to improve.4 points

Yeah it would make sense start off small and build it up, run in the NDL and make money on track hire, other events etc. However, looks like there could be as few as 7 in the championship next year IF Glasgow were to have a go in the Premiership. I’m sure if that was the case the BSPL would be asking the possibility of Workington joining the Championship. Afternoon racing in the NDL, with trackdays, the British youth championship and a few Open meetings with star names is probably along the lines of what will happen in 2023.4 points

When Lockdown was eased and you could venture further afield I wished to visit the local Arboretum only to find that you had to book in advance...an Arboretum of all places where social distancing wasn't an issue. When I went on line to book reluctantly (who would want to book in advance not knowing what the weather might be like?) only to find that there was a £1-50 booking fee...Sod that I said and didn't pursue with the booking out of priciple.3 points

Great business by the poles Thursday,Fridays & Sundays all protected for their 8 team league. Goes to show how strong they are & how weak the UK is.3 points

Don't forget, Sheffield v Ipswich is another match that won't happen - neither of these can go ahead simply because of the Green Sheet problem. Reducing to 10 matches was a ridiculous decision.3 points

How do you know it won't be many?. It could be every week if they have a wet summer. Damn stupid if they agree to that2 points

Always sad when a track closes down but what went on at Swindon was despicable with lies upon lies and false promises.2 points

But but but - all our team has already been allocated elsewhere for 2023 - well according to BSF team lineups for next season!!2 points

Fingers crossed that they will let you stay for 2023 season whilst you have more time to long for something long term.2 points

But Berntzon v Zmarzlik or Laguta v Kasprzak turned out not to be unpredictable in 2021. They met 44 times in the series and Bart and Artem won all 44 encounters.2 points

Hopefully the NDL playoffs on BSN will be well supported, the service has been a breath of fresh air for an nomad fan like myself. Hopefully will see you covering a meeting at Northside, Workington next season!2 points

I can't see why some are saying it's a boring selection. It was the only selection imo, unless they put more Poles in the line-up, & nobody wants half the field to be like that. No extra Brits, Swedes, Danes, Germans etc deserve to be at the top table right now. Anyone else (except Poles) would have weakened the series further.2 points

Easy Woffinden rode 6 league matches before play offs not like Lambert brought in as a ringer for half a semi final and final.2 points

Or in the case of Lynn/ Peterborough a muppet with 2 coats, one red, one blue to be worn depending on which bandwagon he has jumped on2 points

No,it's go to be a 0-0 surely so all riders reduce their averages for next season. Lawson should definitely think about it.Can't see anyone wanting him on a 7.91 average next season.I don't believe riders do average reduction over the season, but on this occasion if i was Lawson i would think about it.It is easy for him to lose about a point off his average with it only being over the last 10 matches. If he scores 0 that will replace a 16 he scored against Wolves. I would be thinking take a hit on one pay packet to make sure i get a further 25 pay packets next season.2 points

I ask again...one league with how many teams? And as for second half racing, yeah, of course. Selling a 1970's product in the 2020's. What could possibly go wrong? About as likely as football bringing back real leather "caser" balls for the Premier League next year too.2 points

Why on earth would Panthers give up local derbies against Lynn, Ipswich and now Leicester.2 points

They might drop Thursday’s- not confirmed Can’t see to many choosing GB for an extra league possibly Woffinden, Lambert, Bewley and Chris Holder, Lidsey maybe whereas Denmark and Sweden will be popular to the rest.1 point

All the evidence is that BSF opinion on guests ranges from 'necessary evil' to outright opposition. I can see no love for them.1 point

In your opinion. Its what a lot of fans want an independent opinion well we got one.1 point

Belle Vue have not been proved right. All that happened is that they hired a lawyer to run rings round the BSPA (and not I should imagine a difficult task) and they backed down.1 point

010.3.1 Cut Off Date No team changes will be allowed after 28th August with the effective date being 31st August. Except riders returning to the team after injury who must re-take their position, dictated by their MA, with their replacement being released. This is from the 2022 Regulations What you have quoted is when the transfer window is applicable1 point

I’d say so last time I heard JG was residing at her (late) majesties pleasure whilst Lambert has done ok for himself in speedway1 point

When the Lions dropped down to the championship it was quite a relief for many of their fans who were very much fed up with their team being the whipping boys of the prem and frankly bored with seeing the same team visiting twice a season plus again in KO matches. Similarly, many were skeptical at the move down because having been there previously the racing had not been particularly good to say the least. However, in the ensuing years, the track has been changed sufficiently to provide racing beyond recognition to what came before that, and the racing in the Championship has been excellent on many occasions. It has also been refreshing to see different teams in league meetings - in other words a variety of entertainment. Now that the decision has been made to move back to the top flight, it remains to be seen if other clubs will do likewise so that the repetitious nature of same teams visiting can be avoided. If so and presuming that Dickson does what he always does - put together a very competitive team, then all will be good for Premiership racing to make a welcome return. Regarding Thursday night being race nights, this will not be a factor that affects attendance numbers, if the team is successful then the fans will come - school day or not - example, just see how many kids were at the City v Forest game last night. boys and1 point

He did,i'm not a Poole fan but it doesn't take too much delving to see he had plenty of meetings before the play offs.Go have a look and then you will believe it.Oh dear1 point

Would be nice to see them in the championship but think that will be a big ask especially now Newcastle have gone and looks like Edinburgh as well and now Leicester moving up to the top flight.1 point

Thanks for that. I cannot understand why anyone would want to leave negative comments. I really appreciate what is being done here. Engine noise certainly doesn’t mix within communities, hence all the opposition to speedway tracks. New tracks just don’t get approval anywhere near houses, and what we have all seen at Swindon where a community was virtually built on top of a track…it was easily seen by all that the speedway racing was going to disappear, and it has. These machine give access to younger ones, give them a start to into speedway, at relatively low cost, the power can be increase easily by software on a mobile phone, so gradual increases are available at any time without large cost increases in changing engine. Great for the times we are living in, and I can’t wait to see how it all develops.1 point
