Those who own the stadium have played the long game yet again and supporters get weary but nevertheless it is a sad day to see another team bite the dust. I think that supporters just have to accept the fact that very few like speedway, it is a minority sport and will never galvanise support at any level of government and local authorities have zero interest despite what many a local MP’s will spout on the odd occasion that they want some publicity to get votes come election time. Those in charge of Swindon Speedway have little say in the matter as mere tenants and at best you could say that they are very naive to believe anything other than the inevitable. I would like to think that the Robins will make a comeback but like so many before, without a lot of luck, it could be a long haul. Here’s hoping.

I think the Gladiators are hanging it out so their final meeting of the season is against the Championship league winners !

Should try staging it at the start of the 2023 season. As he deserves it, good servant to British speedway.

Saw two good meetings there, both World Finals... The rest of the meetings I attended there were gate and go, one line, very fast races, one race after another... And that was in the days before the "straight line rocket ships" that exist today.. Getting 10,000 in at the NSS should be the primary objective.. ..

Yet again not sure what is going on.But quite clearly a lot of people have been told the dogs will stop..This could get messy as as Tr can't really use this as a reason as Clark has already said its not true that the dogs are not closing.. The coming weeks are going to show who been telling the most fibs..This of course will let that scumbag Tomlinson off the hook .

Perhaps we could invite some Poole riders to guest for both teams and that would give Poole fans a chance to enjoy good speedway and support their riders or perish the thought have a good moan

I could pass him the number of a couple of ex riders who would be able to advise him... Happiness was once said to be 40-38.. For them it was 5.99....

Such a shame for a likeable rider and hope it can be re staged in 2023.

If he hadn't wet his pants at a soft spot at Plymouth 4 weeks ago they'd have at least one less thing to worry about.

A division of 9 or 10 teams should not have six in the play offs, it should have been top four. And in the higher division with six clubs, it should have been 2nd and 3rd play off to meet the team who came 1st

Perhaps he should stage it at Poole, they seem to be able to hold benefit meetings at the expense of official fixtures.

That is a crying shame for a very dependable rider of the last few years I truly feel for him.

Those in charge really ought to think before playing about with fixtures and various tournaments and scheduling a list of meetings. League meetings should take priority and the league positions decided by the end of August with play offs and final in first two weeks in September. Cup and pairs take place in September and October so that clubs who did not make the play offs still have something to race for and retain fans interest. Too much to ask that those in charge have a brain between them and act in the best interest of the fans and the sport. Farcical situation that the top tier finds itself in towards the end of September in a seven month season with a league of just six teams. Yes British speedway is a shambles and we can all guess who is to blame.

Thought the crowd was decent considering weather forecast and BSN.I was mug enough to want to see some live action ,unfortunately.Like I said on previous Post live streaming will end up killing the Sport. Track was dry and pretty slick to start with IMo.

This sums up how a growing number of supporters are now feeling. Only the truly committed will accept these kind of delays. A lot took the offer of a refund at the Scunthorpe meeting and possibly didn't go along last night, perhaps explaining the low turn out. It will be interesting to see how many attend the restaging whenever It is and it is to be hoped we can find a dry night. Another repeat of last night would be disastrous.

I would be quite happy to go to Bradford for the s/way ,because personally I have no interest in going to Cardiff except for the s/way event itself .
