I feel a bit better about the demolition we took at Wimborne road last week with our patchwork team, that Leicester with there a full team could only muster the same score.2 points

As Skidder said it's not the spectator singing that was the issue it was the recorded version that was broadcast - if they didn't have the correct version then an instrumental version would have been the better option (and it's nothing to do with "nit picking" either).2 points

There is no such thing as the management committee - it was abolished a few years ago. Danny King said that as long as he was a promoter and a rider, then he wouldn’t have the time.2 points

I’m no pirates fans but what’s Danny king doing on the management committee.lol2 points

In my humble experience GP`s always seem better when at the venue than some of the comments from people sat at home. Was i correct in describing the setting of the track ?2 points

I think that’s only in a PL league match. Golden Heats are detailed in SR 11.1.29, each team manager nominates riders for 3 additional heats and the first team to score a heat advantage wins. Scoring is usual 3-2-1-02 points

He laughs it off mostly as we all do when asked, most fans don't hate only the select few on here.2 points

Fords son, probably older but looks 16 sort of had a Ratner moment last night by saying everyone hates Poole but they don’t care or they love it, I could tell by how he said it, that it really plays on his mind and is not comfortable with it, maybe his father has taught him that?2 points

I can't see messrs Campbell and harkess leaving any stone unturned in order to find somewhere for Edinburgh to come back to. Might not be my favourite people in the world but can never doubt their commitment to Edinburgh speedway2 points

In your desire to nit-pick in the classic boring Poole way I think you're totally missing the point MILLIONS will inadvertantly sing "Queen" for quite a while as its etched on their subconscience Plymouth did not have a fixture until last night since Queen died, the minutes silence was for "the Queen" again, was it wrong to use the words that had been relevant for her since 1952. It''s a bloody good job they didn't play the second verse , that would have been "way too long"2 points

So, you were not at the meeting and you don't believe the Referee, who was directly in line with the finish line?2 points

Not sure the move to the hounds was in his thoughts at all. Never heard any suggestion of that before. The rest I agree with though. For the six years he ran it, he upgraded the track and stadium and always invested heavily in the team (not always successfully). The end was always inevitable given the Bradford City fire and the scale of redevelopment required of a wooden stadium, the value of the land in Manchester and the relatively limited income potential of running a speedway/stock car venue. I also understand he had a divorce from Pat to pay for? Hyde Road, Plough Lane and Brandon are the nearest the sport has had to iconic venues....and they were all allowed to slip into the wrong hands and outside of British Speedway's control. The sport never has had any vision or long-term coherent strategy....hence its lost its most cherished assets. It's still a miracle the new Belle Vue got built. Chris Morton and David Gordon deserve a medal for that at the very least.2 points

Totally shambolic and is part of the reason I (and many hundreds perhaps thousands) no longer attend The "top" league is not even sufficiently organised to get what is about half the traditional number of fixtures run Meetings that have a material impact on finishing positions and therefore the pairings for the league title deciding play offs not being run within cut off timescales is simply unacceptable at any level of sport let alone a fully professional top level1 point

Championship league leaders and odds on favourites for the title Leicester Lions got their paws clipped tonight by a battling Poole Pirates. It was a very good meeting on a well prepared track and lots of very entertaining heats. I think when Poole had opened a 10 point league Stewart Dickson told his team to not take risks. No point chasing something that had got away from them and a bigger meeting at Edinburgh on Friday. Thing is, Steve Worrall had bike issues in his first two rides. What would the score have been had he not had these issues? All the Poole boys are riding well, and I include Nathan in that. He’s battling to the best of his ability. But it was refreshing to see both Drew Kemp and Zack Cook bring their A game. Rider of the night was Ben Cook, with an amazing pass of Howarth on the very last bend which brought the house down. Richard Lawson also unbeaten. Pirates head to Scotland on Sunday for a very tough and challenging meeting in the first leg of the Championship Semi-Finals. Back to Poole next Wednesday for the second leg. If, and it’s a big if, Poole were to meet Leicester in the final, the two meetings this week will be meaningless. Now Pirates meet Redcar in the KO Cup final.1 point

Seems to be quite a few negative comments about the Swedish GP. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but after attending the GP earlier this week its fair to say we all enjoyed a great weekend in a fabulous country. Thought the Stadium and track were great and we all enjoyed the meeting. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience . Would we go again? Absolutely 100% we would.1 point

Middlo loves it apparently. He does his 'welcome to the most hated club' speech for every new rider. I mean they may as well go with it and use it to their advantage as it is never going to change!1 point
-
Yes it really plays on his mind - so much so that he hides away in the speedway office and rarely ventures out!! NOT!!1 point

I think the club have just kept quiet because they kept making themselves look silly with positive updates. When you are against SBC and Gaming then what chance have you got. Just reading about the council trying to get the dome at the Oasis de-listed so they can work with their partners to redevelop it as a leisure facility! Their partners specialise in resi developments next to train stations but apparently they will redevelop the Oasis site as a leisure facility if they get the go ahead to knock down the old dome!!! SBC are bandits. The only thing they support in Swindon are housing developers and I can't wait to see what sh1te Tommo comes out with when that new build starts on the old car park site at the stadium. W@nkers the lot of them.1 point

If they weren’t in 4th place at the time which i think they weren’t then they couldn’t do it !! Yes same rules team must be 6 behind leaders in 4th place( or joint) 4th to use a tac sub. No 5 can be used at any time( up to max rides).1 point

It must be great to be skidder and live a perfect life never getting anything wrong. One presumes his occupation is professional nit picker.1 point

Certainly entertaining.I thought earlier in the season we could have got him for Ablitt and maybe dropped Kemp but Ablitt hasn't done that badly and Kemp seems to come good when least expected and it definitely makes a refreshing change to keep the same team all season.1 point

If they wanted to be in the meeting they would be in it. Lambert had no problem getting over for the GP qualifier at Glasgow. If you want to be in it you would be . Once it's on the CV, job done. Will we see Bewley in it next year? It's got nothing to do with Brexit or logistics, it has everything to do with DESIRE1 point

Or the perfect get out of jail card for the management. It means they can jump ship & escape the sinking ship that is UK speedway without appearing to be the bad guys who closed the club.1 point
