Just been having a right old chuckle to myself reading all of this. few observations, racing was no where near as bad as some are making out. Was a bit grippy early on yes but once it slickened off the racing was fantastic. Glasgow really should be too league and get the top riders on it every week Crashes happen. Yes it was long winded but they were 2”3 very nasty crashes/injuries. regarding the mascot being around Thomson. All track staff including the mascot made a circle around Thomson so us fans couldn’t see them attend to Thomson’s very nasty injury. He wasn’t loitering at all. The 2nd ambulance came to block the back straight view also while they lifted him into the ambulance. Well done Kim Nilsson, Dan Bewley and jack holder. best wishes to millik, holder and Thomson cant wait for my next visit to Glasgow.7 points

If this was the worst meeting at Glasgow you must see some fantastic meetings! Some of the best speedway I have seen for years Loved my first visit to Ashfield- the racing was exciting and at times unpredictable. As someone said there wasn’t much complaining at the track as people were respectfully waiting for the injured riders to be cared for. Some riders obviously found the track difficult but that is surely down to their own way of riding and certainly the Poles struggled with the shape - that doesn’t make the track poor, it just means there is more to speedway than open the throttle and go.7 points

Well done to the Tigers on a hard earned victory. Obviously gutted as a Bears fan and thought a draw would have been a fair result but not to be. Was a bit worried when I saw Lewis off one in Heat 15 and my fears proved correct. Hope Cook is ok after his horrible looking crash, Charles picked up drive and left him nowhere to go. Fair play to Tom Brennan and a brilliant choice of guest in Spud. Was a great servant to the Bears and a big loss to British speedway when he goes home. Charles and Jason picked a bad night to have their worst nights of the season and King did ok but he’s no Erik Riss (awaits 12 pages of Poole fans replies ) but what a night for Jordan Jenkins, simply fantastic. Despite losing it was cracking entertainment - bit of everything, good racing, bit of controversy (all 4 back anyone?), lead changes and a last heat decider. We may not have the strongest team but you get to entertained at Redcar.6 points

No different to paying subscription to Sky, BT, etc for live football matches or attending a match then the highlights are on say BBC the same evening. All about watching it live as it happens that's wot u pay for whether in attendance or on a stream where u can row row row yer boat... gently. I don't even know if the boat went down the stream on this occasion? Dunno. Why does it matter how long after the live event the highlights are shown? When I do a wee trump the highlights are to be noticed straight away. U can get highlights on YouTube of Polish, Danish, Swedish, Germany, Hungarian & others including Argentina soon after the meetings.f u av a rummage for the appropriate channels then click subscribe. I think it's called living in the modern world & the speed in which technology brings us all together for cuddly hugs & comfy pillows.5 points

Iversen was a Newport rider in 2003, Nilsson and Doyle were 2011. And even then , Nilsson was sacked and replaced with Doyle. but good on him getting through on merit, shame the Poole Prat wont just congratulate him on it rather than slate him especially as the likes of Lindback and KK got in year on year and were absolute dross. Guess now Steve Worrall is the star attraction each week at Poole, that seems like a distant memory.4 points

I think that race sums up why we love Polish Speedway3 points

Postponed way too early once again!! 40-50% very light showers between 3 and 7.... So could even get none at all. I don't think they want to ride3 points

Depends what you want. If you want the title, you obviously want top 2. I'd take an extra home meeting and lose the final because I just like watching bikes race around the totally unsuitable, narrow, bumpy, boring Glasgow track that clearly doesn't deserve to host anything on two wheels and bores DiamondsGeezer to death3 points

What do you want them to do? Race around the ambulances? Just push the riders over the fence? Cancel the meeting?3 points

Have to say, that was fabulous racing tonight, particularly after the first few heats. Heats 4 & 8 would good, but the others early relied on good gating. After that, it just got better. Of course delays can be a bit frustrating, but I didn’t hear any complaints at the track. The accidents were unfortunate but the track was good. Milik took in too much speed when the track was grippy. I think Thomsen was aware the meeting was getting away from him. Holder was unlucky Bellego couldn’t avoid him. No idea about Berntzon’s crash - it’s likely conditions were trickier in practice, in fairness. Fricke, Holder, Lebedevs (early on, at least), Jensen, and Jepsen Jensen (later on) all produced some great racing. Kubera, Wozniak, Bellego all nowhere, sadly. Saw a comment about it being the worst meeting at Glasgow this year. Get yer head checked. It did take a few heats to get the racing we are accustomed to, but when it came, it was absolutely sensational.3 points

Good meeting, good stream, great result. Redcar used the extensive track grade after ht8 to their advantage to turn the meeting back in their favour. Same extensive regrade after ht12 but didnt quite have the same effect. Use everything within your control to maximum effect as the home team. Wonder if anyone from Glasgow noticed? Asking for a friend.2 points

Probably not made a difference but surely broc should've been in heat 14? He was at least gating and on form might kept Andersen behind him. However point guaranteed that'll need to do. Ran out of legs without Ben2 points

Remind us of the aggregate home and away v plymouth even after Lawson taking MPT out? Arrogant!2 points

That’s a disgraceful decision to exclude Kerr. Makes no sense however you look at it.2 points

Today in polish tv Wozniak said that fence at Glasgow wasnt filled with air, like fences in Poland or in GP.He said that it was filled with some material and he compered this to "punching bag".And also he said that Thomsen broke his leg becouse of that fence. Shocking if that's true.. Sorry for my english.2 points

Really pleased that Nilsson got through, great to see an underdog make it by rights. Poles shown up again outside of Poland, British tracks are not just flat-out and slick.2 points

Indeed..... Jack not joining in with the celebrations either.... Personally I think the UK could adopt a seven man version of the Polish model... Six riders made up of four HL/SS's , two "juniors" and a number 7 who is under 23/24 who can come in and replace any of the top four... Wouldn't cost any more than current and stop the need for guests as you just bring your number 7 in to replace a top four rider... Poland speedway.....2 points

The consummate professional always takes defeat in respectful manner ,other riders should look and learn great match .2 points

great ride from Dudek. not many do that to zmarzlik2 points

Good meeting that.... Holder looking like a slapped arse in the pits... Maybe have your bike ready for every race young man... No prisoners taken in Poland.... Plenty will take the places of those who fall out of favour...2 points

Gorzow certainly giving there all considering they are vastly depleted with 3 key riders missing but I feel they will run out of options as the meeting goes on2 points

While I don't disagree that it's an early call off the Met Office app suggests general rain rather than just light showers. I think you are probably right though, they are petrified of a small crowd which tv and rain would almost guarantee. Although it's another school holiday date wasted.2 points

Can Eurosport show us a video of the tractors going round instead?2 points

In a very clean and tidy stadium , for me the thing restricting the crowds even more is the ferry crossing but as complicated as the ferry sounds it’s not difficult to leave your car in Portsmouth and go on foot getting a taxi to track on the Isle, the taxi company is located in the pits, traveling on the ferry with the riders, they have speedway bikes in front of the stand for kids to sit on during the meeting2 points

I'm actually gonna watch the stream of this meeting - if only to watch our skipper guesting and to keep a tag on Cookie in the pits!!2 points

Great to have the chance to see Spud ride at Redcar again, this may be the last time, depending on invites to individual meetings2 points

And the fact that you have to keep repeating it tells you how utterly stupid this play off system is, I thought the poles were beyond this stupidity that British speedway specialise in but clearly not, polish speedway and the Isle of Wight are the only things keeping me a speedway fan at the moment, even the GP has lost something for me, seems it’s just going to be the Isle of Wight at this rate2 points

You know... If you didnt know any better, you could actually be forgiven for thinking that no one is really in charge of this sport giving it the clear direction it needs, and that clubs can just make things up as they go along to suit themselves.... Obviously though, as fans, we know that this isnt the case and it is extremely well ran and organised...2 points

And you can't really blame them for that! Saw on twitter Niklas Porsing moaning about the Glasgow fence not being straight.2 points

I'm struggling to work out what's wrong with the track if anything, it's nice and wide, plenty of room entering and exiting the bends and it's smooth with just enough dirt on it. The crashes have all appeared to be rider error to me.2 points
