I've said it before & i'll say it again. Put TROLLS ON IGNORE! You can not see their posts so can not reply unless others quote the post. Threads are getting spoiled.6 points

My first time at Scunthorpe last night and I was really impressed with everything. Loved the track. Basic facilities, but who cares. The track was great and the riders performed. Great advert and will be back sooner rather than later. Zaine Kennedy def Man of the match but was a solid team performance from Scunthorpe and they deserved the win. Think the score slightly flattered Leicester, but you need 2 good teams to make a good match.6 points

This site here is the least sensationalist and most reliable one, and you'll be able to use Google translate quite easily on it: https://po-bandzie.com.pl/zuzel/aktualnosci/ Regarding the traffic to the International section of the forum, looking purely at this thread, we have almost 60,000 views alone, which suggests to me it gets a whole lot of traffic! I come on only occasionally but from what I have seen, there appears to be a mixture of some who are highly knowledgeable about Polish speedway and speedway internationally generally, such as R&R, and others who'd like to imagine they know lots but actually don't! For me personally, I run a speedway FB group that deals exclusively with European speedway and I can tell you this with absolute certainty. R&R is the most valuable resource and poster I've come across anywhere on the net, including in Poland!3 points

Looks like it will be Connor Coles who could be guesting for Berwick at Leicester tomorrow.2 points

I think it proves as well that you don't necessarily need to grade the track every 4 heats.2 points

The booking this year is ridiculous and don't forget you need the Seetickets app to download tickets, read some of the above comments (we were originally told Principality app). Anyway I have 2 suggestions as See Tickets has no phone contact number, although you can email them but don't hold your breath waiting for a reply, try ringing the stadium on Monday and see if they can help, the number is 0844 249 1999. The second is a bit daft but it works out cheaper than 5 of the cheapest single tickets, you purchase 2 blocks of family tickets which I think came to £182 excluding app delivery fees etc and it was about £100 cheaper than 5 singles, you then have 8 seats so you can spread yourselves out (daft idea I know but so is this stupid ticket system) but honestly you really shouldn't have to purchase tickets you don't need just to sit together. The powers (or idiots) that be should realise families come in all shapes and sizes nowadays.2 points

George English was a fine promoter at Newcastle , his record proves that. Having met him years ago at Newcastle (around 2009ish) , you could tell he lived and breathed Newcastle Speedway. However after reading posts since coinciding with his departure , things seem to of gone sour. Either way, Newcastle ran year in year out whilst he was involved and since he departed the club, its gone downhill rapidly.2 points

Nothing odd about it at all Redcar have been expanding their asset base for the last few seasons and now have the likes of Edwards, Jenkins and now Freeman all on token sums, to join a couple of local youngsters previously signed but not yet good enough for the NDL. This probably won’t be the last youngster they sign. The club is well known for looking after the younger ones and runs two junior sides and weekly second halfs plus the amateur meetings and practice sessions. Something perhaps other clubs could/ should be doing ?. They won’t get a fee on loans to NDL clubs.2 points

Some better calls tonight from his mate? Riders pulling back and delaying the start and getting away with it (when the 2 minute light has went out). Letting Pickering off with a serious delay when on a tactical (2 minutes light at Berwick cancels after 2mins and 3 seconds) where the 2 minute light was off for good couple of minutes. The green light was flashing in the second half but not the first meeting? Shame when riders are taking the mickey the race cannot be started with the rider not ready (digging away). It would make them learn for later on (instead of letting them continuing to take the mickey).1 point

A bit selective. Oxford's return has been a roaring sucess and Workington looking positive for next year. But yes, we all know the general direction of travel.1 point

If I am not mistaken just three more home meetings. Long gone are those halcyon days of weekly meetings at Foxhall. What a sad state of affairs when you are in July and at the height of the school holidays etc. Just two home meetings in August and nothing other than league fixtures with no other offering including the 16 Lapper likely to be run. Ipswich has a loyal following but sadly the sport is shooting itself in the foot and is unlikely to attract a new following with a limited racing calendar.1 point

The Teams were announced on the Lion's website on Wednesday. Only change is Richard Lawson guesting for Nick Morris.1 point

It will be interesting to see the size of the crowd, but difficult to determine whether this app stuff has had a material effect. On the plus side at least transferring tickets to other phones (providing they already have the app too) for others in the group worked first time.1 point

Couldn't Peterborough try and push the regulations in the interest of speedway & have Chris Harris guest for Hans Andersen? I'm sure that would work.1 point

Just seen that Jordan Jenkins is replaced by Luke Crang and Nathan Stoneman by Adam Roynan. That takes 5.94 off their team total and evens things up a bit.1 point

Well that`s a surprise Some kind chap in a previous post( if you can find it) has suggested just take out a sub for a month at £6.991 point

Quality meeting that, nice to be in the crowd for a change too! Ryan Douglas, what a guy, us Scorpions fans can only hope his signature is already inked for 2023.. Zaine Kennedy man of the match for me, very unlucky with his puncture in heat 14.. Adam Roynon also put in loads of effort for little reward, effort goes a long way at Scunthorpe and I'm sure he'll become a crowd favourite in the coming weeks.. It does take two teams to make a great meeting - and fair play to the Lions, Howarth, Lawson and Worrall were on it.. was also pleasing to see Max Clegg in the points after some online criticism1 point

Far from it, if the team is good enough to win by 20 points at home most weeks, they can afford to lose by 18 away & win the double!1 point

Pickering could ride as it's for the number 1 but if I remember rightly. Garry May said he'd booked Pickering to ride for Plymouth at Oxford that night.1 point

1 thing still puzzles me though... why as a camera operator would you pan away from a couple of riders swinging handbags? Unbelievable!1 point

Its a mandatory 7 days suspension whatever the illness. I think it was brought in to prevent riders throwing a sickie when due to visit a track they didnt like! Regulation is:- 010.5(H) sick or carrying a non-speedway injury, the rider must immediately inform the SCB and their club. A Medical Certificate must be supplied to the SCB within 48 hours of the sickness/injury occurring in which case the rider will receive a mandatory 7 days suspension of his SCB Registration from the day of the first meeting missed1 point

Archies contract was taken over by the BSPL, as per the procedures, and Redcar signed him. George is now a regular visiter to Redcar Speedway I believe.1 point

Max has had an awful season so far which has affected his performance. He has has 2 engine blow ups,1 which has gone in the bin,He has had an awful lot of bike problems and when your riding once a week or even 2 weeks it’s hard to fix these problems. Then the problem with Newcastle closing hasn’t helped him at all. After the Redcar meeting he took both engines out and had a few alterations made and rebuilt through the night to get them built back up for Leicester Saturday.(which didn’t go well either).since then he has made a lot of changes to both engines and the bikes at vast expense and has been testing them at Leicester 3 times since to try get things back on track.just needed to post this as I’ve been a follower of max since he was a little kid on grasstrack and a long time family friend,to let you all know how hard they are working to get things right again.no one more than max wants to get back to scoring points.maybe give him some support rather than slating him at every chance(Lenny).Thank you for all that has sent him positive messages. best of luck to max & Leicester for the rest of the season.1 point

Can only see a home win and nothing else. Bomber is average around Leicester and Berwick just haven't been good enough this year considering they were a few people's dark horses.1 point
