I think that in all fairness to him... It must be difficult to try and hold an interview in a language that is not your natural one.. But Sam is trying his best..8 points

The 100's of empty seats in the grandstand as the infield camera shows the race starts wont be painting a good picture in any way shape or form.. As has been said, totally ludicrous to run a meeting on a night when it would be 100% expected to have riders from either team, (and probably both), missing.. The message it screams out is "League Speedway doesnt really matter anyway"... And if the Promoters are quite happy to not take it seriously, then what chance have you got of convincing the fans to? Not to mention, broadcasters and sponsors... Now. No doubt some of those "devotees" will say "fixture congestion, no dates available" as so many do from both leagues on this platform when the same thing happens time and time again.. However, you can guarantee that any meeting that gets rained off will still get ran later in the season, therefore dates are always available..6 points

Great sport... So poorly ran... Still, as long as Poole can win the 2nd Division the sport will live long and prosper....5 points

Guests are part of a sport that is on its knees. I would suggest that having a team using other teams riders in a supposed professional sport in front of an empty stadium doesn't paint the sport a good picture.4 points

Poole fans got fed up continually winning the Premiership/Elite league so are just trying something different and better. Their only issue is the future of the stadium.3 points

I have noticed that the Poles often have quite a few FIM meetings (GP's, GP Challenges, SEC qualifying, SEC Finals, SON Finals, GP2 rounds etc etc), ran at the weekend (on their protected days/nights)... However.. What they slyly do is quite cunning in that they actually plan their fixture lists around these meetings... A truly amazing concept... And one that will never catch on over here though, thank goodness... NB. When you want to run the Sport from Monday to Sunday like the UK does (using the same riders in a vast amount of cases), you will inevitably get some clashes I would suspect.. Until we can start using a ten day week maybe, thus freeing up 3 days for the UK to leave free...?3 points

Well lets see - the Abensberg fixture date was done in November and The Debrecen date in March- was that early enough for the BSPA to realise the possibility of a clash. It`s also somewhat amusing to me that Australia have a place in the Nagyhalasz round on Saturday, yet Fricke ends up in Abensberg that clashes with Belle Vue. Is there anyone that`s connected with Australia and Belle Vue ?3 points

He who invests the most can become Team Manager is the CV you have to forward these days.3 points

I'll only be watching this because it's from the best track in the country (world?), the fact that this meeting has been arranged for today let alone put on telly is farcical with multiple riders missing. British speedway is an expert in shooting itself in the foot time and time and time again.3 points

It's the "best of both worlds" Championship.. Using Div 1 HL's and no need to have any Rising Stars... The middle tier should have to have two RS's, with the top tier having one.. That would have made a fair few current 4/5 point riders available to ride for struggling teams as replacements, or get used as unattached guests for injured or missing riders.. As well as obviously developing young British riders from NDL to Div 2 SS and HL standard, with maybe a few going onto Div 1 HL level.. Seems barmy to keep paying out to bring over foreign reserve/lower SS standard riders when so many young British riders are available if the team building structure was designed to accommodate them.. Bottom line is. No one outside the few within the "Speedway Bubble" will care who wins any UK Speedway title, thus having very minimal impact (most likely none at all), to the sports growth... But. Getting GB winning globally, regularly, will get interest from the wider sports watching community.. Which definitely will help the sport grow...3 points

Do Lions fans really think they'll pay for Keleher to fly over from Oz, plus all his other costs, to fill a reserve place?????? He's not exactly proved himself so far has he?3 points

Whatever the outcome after ht15 it's been a decent meeting, and to think someone said they should've relocated to Monmore when it became apparent Max would be missing, that would've worked out really well eh.2 points

"Belle Vue a very well supported club".. Nice one Kelv, fair play... Poor timing though just as they show a grandstand with "one or two" empty seats...2 points

When/Where did Worrall aggravate this collarbone injury , his last meeting was at Peterborough last thursday, does he ride anywhere overseas, or is this a disguise for missing this meeting with a non speedway illness to avoid a temporary suspension ?2 points

There's certainly some interesting speedway t-shirts on there. Think it'd take someone pretty out there to walk around in a Kenny Carter t shirt... S7d7641cde9f44acc9abb4dd7b903c7abH.jpg_640x640Q90.jpg_.webp2 points

He's not there to be popular with the riders. He is employed(???) by the Promotion to produce a winning team and to do that you have to be ruthless changing riders in heats as required. There are a lot of Glasgow fans been around for a long time who know the sport inside out and when reserve or tactical substitute changes should be made. I've no doubt newer fans must wonder why the current manager gets such a hard time from sections of the supporters but these supporters are the ones that know allowing a visiting team to take a point away or only winning by 3 point rather than 4 away from home can change the outcome of the play-offs. NOR IS HE THERE FOR SELF-PROMOTING PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES2 points

It would have been about 20 years ago. He didn't make a tactical substitution that possibly cost us a win and he paid the price. One of the Promoters was said to have fancied the job of team manager and that was seen as an excuse to get rid of Ian. Not only did we lose a team manager but we lost an incredible fan and historian who also had a website which had encyclopaedic information about EVERY rider that had riden for the Tigers Cut Ian Steele and he would have bled Glasgow Tigers. A real gentleman with a lovely wife, Anne, who was also Tigers daft.2 points

Where have I said I hate Janowski? Where have I said he isn’t world class? Do I think he will ever be world champion? No I believe he isn’t mentally tough enough It’s called an opinion Magic may prove me wrong I just feel when it comes to the crunch he goes missing2 points

To name one..... Your current manager - I have personally seen this year your manager on his new "perch" shouting abuse and gloating in an unsportsmanlike fashion directed at away riders when Glasgow get a good result. Passion, I am fine with as speedway means a lot to many people and people devote lot of time to the sport but a little bit of decorum and respect to the opposition doesn't go far.2 points
-
I thought the same when Glasgow let Dickson walk away, not exactly their best ever move was it. The current TM seems to want to be more fair to the riders rather than putting the team cause and supporters first. Its fair to say their is a vast difference between managers in both divisions.2 points

I certainly not a Cami fan,but it was no win situation, but he would have been better to make the change ,when you have got an unbeaten rider sitting in the pits in a Ht 14 situation should have used him.Would certainly have taken less flak from the most knowledgeable supporters. That’s life though.2 points
-
After few days to consider the result I'll go with my initial reaction. Ian Steele was sacked for less. And the quote, danyon unlucky in his ride finished last. couldn't take him out. Just more evidence not up to the job, need to be ruthless in the and broc should no doubt been in heat 14. Would middlo, pete Adams, rossco etc have made that decision? Not a chance2 points

We will have to agree to differ my friend. I don’t like the new system. I never liked semis and finals either. For me it’s 20 heats with top scorer winning. Sorry if that makes me a dinosaur.2 points

With my team manager’s hat on I thought the Lions would have put one of the Cubs in to replace Rowe……….. I’ll get my coat! Dickson’s choice of guest has wildly exceeded all expectations. Hats off to the gaffer and take a bow Jason Edwards!2 points
