Well for one I was happy to see Zagar in action at Foxhall last night regardless of how anyone interprets the rules3 points

The bspl ignore or change the rules as they see fit….. have done for the last 50 years3 points
-
Surprised they have been changed. After all speedway has a habit of keeping supporters in the dark3 points
-
You really are still quite bitter about last years Play Off Final aren't you3 points
-
Not at all.But sometimes you lose the will to get your point across, especially to the ones who don't want to accept it or indeed don't understand it.As the saying goes"there's none so blind as those who will not see".This certainly rings true here so there is no point going on.3 points

Aye some of the fencing has gone in and once its finished I will stick some pretty pictures on here for all to see the latest progress but by all means call round for a look see and chat with the lads on site as they would love to hear your views Regards THJ2 points

It also happened some years ago at Coventry from memory. 3 riders were excluded and only Rick Miller was left in the race, who was then excluded for pulling wheelies!2 points

understandable, coming from Poole, that you don't know what a 'motorway blade' is2 points

Looks as if he will be the man this time. There was a film released in the 1960s called "A Man For All Seasons" starring Paul Schofield. In late 2022 we could well see a sequel to that as "A Man For All Reasons" starring Chris Harris ! By the end of the season wonder how many teams will not have included the ever reliable Mr Harris as a guest for whatever reason ? Fingers of one hand maybe ?2 points

Absolutely true!! But who is actually right and who is wrong? Posters have interpreted the same rules & regulations in different ways. The speedway governing body has sanctioned several things that surely must be within the rules as they meant them to be applied - or have they? Anyway, there's certainly a strong 'split' of opinion on whether they have or not. The only 'opinion' that counts in the end, though, is that of the speedway governing body. It won't stop the debate, but perhaps everyone from both sides of the argument should be lobbying for the rules and regulations to be worded in clear, straightforward and unambiguous English. And, anyone who might say they already are .... well, maybe that's case of 'none so blind' too?2 points
-
To be honest, the issue of whether the regulations rule on this subject is rather academic. However, I think that riders who give up when they are last, are universally disliked by fans. I've took to putting CBA in my programmes (couldn't be *****). It's clear that the only way to cut out this habit of not racing to the flag is for team managers to kick a few behinds.2 points

Of course there would be questions about the heat 15 selection. If they wanted to stop the so called keyboard warriors maybe they should have announced the reason over the tannoy2 points
-
That surely isn’t even up for debate. World class riders that have been as loyal to British speedway as he has over the years are as rare as rocking horse sh!t.2 points
-
Yes so correct. What this site does show is the amount of people in life who just want to moan. It was obvious that Doyle must have had a problem but those keyboard warriors just wanted to jump on Richie Hawkins without knowing any facts. I was very impressed with the team effort last night and shows we not a bad team when we have our full 1-72 points
-
Maybe the reasons that Doyle was not in heat 15 should be known before slagging of the team manager hey? You don’t mention that the switch made when Starke came in got us a 5-1. could easily have stuck with Rowe as he was doing OK.2 points

Pearson looked quality in his first race at scunny and you can clearly see he got massive potential..I think he’ll do well nxt season as long as he can keep on top of his equipment and keep his place..if not ewr could be the place for him he seemed to like opening the throttle and not giving a rubbish who was around him..could be a winner in a couple of years and be a top rider..but others may disagree..I’m only going by what I seen that night before you all start2 points

You would have thought the super team manager would have realised that.2 points

At Workington's first ever away league meeting in April 1970 at Rochdale, in heat 8 both home riders fell and were excluded. In the re-run, Mal McKay and Chris Blythe of Workington were then excluded at the end of the heat by the referee for not racing each other, leading to a 0-0 heat result.1 point

Hello Fourentee, hope you are well. I knew Steve as a young lad. Used to play cricket with him and regularly went to speedway matches with him all over the country together. He was a huge wind up merchant even then. I bet he has an absolute blast on this forum, knowing how many bites he gets!1 point
-
Yes we got lucky with no Doyle in heat 15 but it’s more than I thought we would get. Will take a point all day long. Fricke as struggled early in season. Once he gets back to what he could we will be hard to beat anywhere. been impressed with Kurtz this year started the season very well1 point

Looks that way unfortunately. Legends the lot of them for last season and for that I get why they all came back but in hindsight it needed 2-3 changes1 point

There have been cases where a rider has been excluded by the referee for not making an attempt to race.1 point

When has the sport been credible in the last number of years.1 point

Poor from Fricke. Hopefully Blodorn will be better on his next visit to Foxhall. Thanks to Hawkins, Kurtz & Zagar for the league point. And hats of to Brennan.1 point

Steve once told me that 50 per cent of his output was genuine and 50 per cent wind-up and that no-one knew which was which. Including, on occasion, him…1 point

This is now two of eleven sides using a permanent guest for their No1. Can't be good for the credibility of the sport but I'm sure the promoters and riders love it.1 point

I find it odd people jumping on the wagon to jump on young James, poor guy has moved country at the age of 16 is on tracks hes never rode before what are you expecting from a first season. He won his first ride at scunny the other day so got his 3 points job done. He would have won his first heat last night however got a puncture. Its still only his had 2 home meeting , id hate to work for some off you lot , youd be sacked after your second day. I personally think middle to end of season he will be on 5-7 points at home. Keep the faith and get behind your riders.1 point
