Even before a wheel is turned for congreave he's being sort of written off already... From what I've heard he's been practicing everywhere possible since arriving over here last month so let's give the kid a chance !! You never know he may turn out to be the next David bargh or mark Thorp or even better the great Ivan mauger5 points

I think they had it right with the 3-2-1-0-1-2-3-4 system. I think that worked well. They should have stuck with that. Unbelievable that they changed that because sometimes supporters went home disappointed that they didn't get 3 points after winning at home and now have a system where home supporters might go home disappointed with not getting a point after getting a draw. The response to someone querying it says it all really. "Let's see." Brilliant.3 points

Reading today's article in the Speedway Star about the various rules and regs across the leagues, it just shows how shambolic the sport is. Basically, different rules to decide meetings in each league - talk about over-complicated!!3 points

They certainly do matter, 1&5 have the hardest rides, 7 has the easiest. A rider is likely to say what Summers says to build his confidence, no-one wants to think, "this'll be hard & I'll struggle to score". Could say number 7 has one hard ride & number 6 has 3 hard rides.3 points

"Scott in Aces colours?" "Got"... "Scott in Wolves colours?" "Got"... "Scott in Poole colours?" "Got"... "Scott in Glasgow colours?" "Not got! I will swap him for Bomber in Redcar colours"....2 points

It has been a nightmare in Wisbech mainly because of the 3 way traffic lights at leverington Road. But much of the traffic has been coming from Sutton Bridge which has made the situation much worse than it should be.Sutton Bridge situation is due to go on until July I think. Would expect the travel situation to be much better on a Sunday though. Looking forward to this already, especially with the weather forecast looking good as well.1 point

Do Boro have any great list of assets? Didn't the majority transfer to Poole with the Frost sponsorship some years ago?1 point

I read the Star article on this today and realised just how much they miss their Managing Editor. The article detailed the shambles that the promoters have created with ridiculous variations in regulations across the leagues; but without any enciteful, critical comment that would doubtless have come from Mr. Rising. Shame.1 point

Sad to say I think you Peterborough fans have to treat every season from now on as it could be the last one and enjoy it whilst you can ( no different to most clubs really). Will Buster lose interest more quickly and pull out of the showground at the first opportunity?....1 point

Yep I appreciate what you are saying too. I have read before from other riders that organising Testimonials and suchlike is extremely stressful especially on the day when they are desperate for things to go smoothly, so you can completely understand why some might not want the extra hassle of riding even if it would be a good chance to sharpen their race fitness. The forecast looks good for Sunday so here's hoping for a great meeting, looking forward to it.1 point

Be good to have the play offs in decent weather rather than a cold damp night in October or November..1 point

Because he doesn't want to? Would rather run and promote the meeting perhaps. Enjoy the occasion with his family. Would be my guess.1 point

No rain offs!!!! , knockout Cup, play offs, all has to be accounted for and planned into the fixture list. It's not just thrown together. Also time taken out for the local egg& spoon race or intentional bean bag throwing or whatever they do.1 point

Birmingham don’t ride every Wednesday for starters and Vissing won’t ride every match in Denmark either. The Danish season doesn’t start until much later either. If planned correctly it shouldn’t be a problem - the ‘planned correctly’ is the important part of that statement though….1 point

Yes, you're right, there are options and thankyou for explaining them, same as Ove Fundin Fan, it is appreciated. I don't have Sky Q and in all honesty I have to admit I've reached the point where I just think its not worth it to but a firestick or a Chromecast purely to watch the GPs, my feeling now is somewhat 'oh I can't be bothered any more, why not just broadcast the damn thing in an 'orthodox' way. As I've mentioned earlier, the new promoters seem to be making it less and less accessible, or at least less 'in your face' which I find puzzling........it will make a marginal sport even more marginalised. But genuinely, thanks for all the help.1 point

Seems a stupid idea to me. There's no need for it, what was wrong with a draw? Also as has been seen in the SON. Someone falls on the first lap or touches the tapes etc & you get the boring situation of a virtually pointless re-run where only one team can win with the 4,3,2,0 scoring system being used. Also cannot understand why they'd introduce a rule change like this & not announce it?1 point

What happens if the curfew time is hit before the super heat takes place,,, do the then do a silent one lap running race. It's pretty much been invented for TV,, so the 2 clowns commentating can cream their pants telling us,, we will have a winner tonight.1 point
