Seems a stupid idea to me. There's no need for it, what was wrong with a draw? Also as has been seen in the SON. Someone falls on the first lap or touches the tapes etc & you get the boring situation of a virtually pointless re-run where only one team can win with the 4,3,2,0 scoring system being used. Also cannot understand why they'd introduce a rule change like this & not announce it?4 points

An away team has probably rode well to get a draw only for it to be taken away by a super heat advantage to the home side who would no doubt put out their top rider, can,t see what,s fair about that. why don,t they leave things as they are.3 points
-
Don't see anything wrong with it tbh. Most clubs have a main sponsor so why and try mock everything they do?3 points

Thanks for proving me right. As I pointed out, Lemon didn't say he "hoped" Etheridge could move up. He said he believes he's capable of moving into the main body of the team (having been reserve last year). That's clearly why he's giving him the no.2 job to do this year.3 points

Birmingham don’t ride every Wednesday for starters and Vissing won’t ride every match in Denmark either. The Danish season doesn’t start until much later either. If planned correctly it shouldn’t be a problem - the ‘planned correctly’ is the important part of that statement though….2 points

"Scott in Aces colours?" "Got"... "Scott in Wolves colours?" "Got"... "Scott in Poole colours?" "Got"... "Scott in Glasgow colours?" "Not got! I will swap him for Bomber in Redcar colours"....2 points

Heat 15 is within the meeting, so even if it influences the final result it is still the 'whole meeting' that provides the final scores, and actually often Heat 15 has zero bearing on an overall result, given a team can be too far behind to score any points when it takes place... This extra heat basically dismisses what has gone before and provides the result of the match... Maybe if the curfew is near they will do "Rock, Paper, Scissors"... Best of 3 obviously as it would be daft if they only did it once....2 points

Speedway can’t afford to drop pay at the gate.IMO.That would finish them off.2 points

I'd personally switch the reserves around, otherwise I'd agree with that line up. Hard to tell on the pics but the pits seem pretty much in the same position (pics are on Facebook). I believe they are containers, with the fronts 'chopped off.'2 points

With a Monkey you say....................................................Now that's an idea. Plus the monkey would probably talk more sense.2 points

But a bug bear , for a lot of people is drawn out meetings. Now, you could have a 15-20 minute interval after heat 10 or 12, a 5-10 minute gap for the nominated heat 15 + possible track grade then another 5+ minute gap for the same riders(probably) in heat 15 to have a tinker with their bikes while another track grade takes place.2 points

I get the theory behind this, to try and create some entertain towards the end of a meeting to get an overall winner - but to achieve that, surely you are better served to return to the old bonus point system and if the scores are tied on aggregate then go to a run off! The scoring system is one of the few things British Speedway has got right in recent times… and now it was a success they’ve decided to balls it up! Can’t make it up! Yes, you're right, there are options and thankyou for explaining them, same as Ove Fundin Fan, it is appreciated. I don't have Sky Q and in all honesty I have to admit I've reached the point where I just think its not worth it to but a firestick or a Chromecast purely to watch the GPs, my feeling now is somewhat 'oh I can't be bothered any more, why not just broadcast the damn thing in an 'orthodox' way. As I've mentioned earlier, the new promoters seem to be making it less and less accessible, or at least less 'in your face' which I find puzzling........it will make a marginal sport even more marginalised. But genuinely, thanks for all the help.1 point

When Vissing was announced they said it’s taken a while to finalise the deal because of the logistics. Presumably this has been aligning calendars with Vissing and Holsted to ensure that situation doesn’t happen.1 point

Policy at Berwick is refund for online tickets, on the day payments is readmission ticket valid for any future meeting including but not limited to the restaging of the abandoned meeting. Would imagine that most tracks are similar.1 point

I suggested that a few posts ago. He will need Chromecast device, or I suggested a Roku box, I bought a new shop return for £32 the other week, just a tatty box. New in shop circa £60.1 point

It hasn't been! Despite it being the biggest change in the scoring system for around a decade Just snuck into the regulations with a murmur Check out the thread in the general section. Only applies to the Premiership though I believe1 point

Pretty sure Lemon means thay Etheridge is capable of starting 2022 in the main body having finished 2021 at reserve.1 point

The car park at Unipart is free You might not enjoy delays on the way to and from the meeting but that's hardly any promoters fault.1 point
-
On the ticketing site it gives you the option to buy more than one ticket You could select 2 adults 1 older child and one kid for a quid on the same booking admittedly it adds on the pound per ticket booking fee at the end. Selecting car parking is simply scrolling down a little further It's not perfect but at least it's doable with a positive attitude instead of what seems to me a very negative one.1 point

The super heat scores are not added to the totals so the away side still get a point in those circumstances I agree though not a change that was necessary. The existing set up was a fair outcome1 point
-
What happens if the curfew time is hit before the super heat takes place,,, do the then do a silent one lap running race. It's pretty much been invented for TV,, so the 2 clowns commentating can cream their pants telling us,, we will have a winner tonight.1 point

Certainly easier in the case of postponements for promotions to refund customers who bought tickets online rather than issue re-admission stubs. How many times have promotions been criticised in the past for a no refunds policy? I do find it funny that promotions and the sport in general is criticised for living in the past and not using up to date technology and when it does, in a case like this, there is criticism because they are not catering to their fanbase.1 point

Can we have special 'Chris Harris' and 'Scott Nicholls' scratch cards that have their photo on it and every teams race jackets. Then when they guest for each team we can mark off the jacket's! Also there was the special cards that toggled two pictures as you moved it. So the Sam Masters card could show an Edinburgh race jacket in one view and a Wolves in the other!1 point

Would they still get 1 point if they fail to provide a finisher in the superheat, making it a seven nil? This scenario may be unlikely, but not impossible.1 point

One thing that is very odd (although perhaps expected as this is Speedway) is that such a huge change was not communicated in the past AGM statements In fact there has been no official announcement as far as I can see , just simply slipped into the new regulations to be seeped out via eagle eyed supporters.....1 point

Checked calendar when I first read this but then realised it wasn't funny and wasn't a joke. Daft idea. It is OK in cup ties but not for league matches.1 point
