Honestly Just wait till you get to see this new Northside set up... you will be on top of the racing here alright... the viewing will be something else... can't wait for the weather to fair up a bit so the guys can get cracking again... been a bit hit and miss since the turn of the year due to the various storms and the rain... Thanks for proving me right. As I pointed out, Lemon didn't say he "hoped" Etheridge could move up. He said he believes he's capable of moving into the main body of the team (having been reserve last year). That's clearly why he's giving him the no.2 job to do this year.3 points

I've looked it up (did find the model no but can't recall it off the top of my head) and its not modern enough to carry the necessary apps, checked on various techy help sites and I'm not the first to find this, the 10 there are the only ones available with no search facility. Its nothing horrendous, I have a choice of buying add ons, watching it on a tablet or hoping highlights/later showings get played on Eurosport, or this BT deal that's been mused comes to fruition. I'd have been more irritated if this had happened 10-15 years ago when I was massively into the GP's. Without sounding like a caveman (which I undoubtedly am) I don't feel making it complicated (imo) to watch a sport is necessarily a good thing, you're not going to attract new fans that way.3 points

Certainly easier in the case of postponements for promotions to refund customers who bought tickets online rather than issue re-admission stubs. How many times have promotions been criticised in the past for a no refunds policy? I do find it funny that promotions and the sport in general is criticised for living in the past and not using up to date technology and when it does, in a case like this, there is criticism because they are not catering to their fanbase.3 points

I don't have a negative attitude I just made a simple mistake by only looking at the first page that popped up on my phone instead of pressing the next button, but I'd still rather pay on the gate incase I can't go due to unforseen circumstances.2 points

I read that as he is confident he can cope with being in the 1-5 (as he will be whereas he hasn't been previously)2 points

Second string in the Prem & reserve in the Champ. Bandits seem to have made a more shrewd signing than the Aces!2 points

As someone who has driven / travelled to away matches for over 50 years following the Wolves; I have reached a breaking point where the Motorway infrastructure and constant lane closures etc, combined with Speedway promoters destroying team support / allegiance does not inspire me to book online at an extra cost to get a car park facility that I can't guarantee getting there to take up. I find the Speedway promoters' inability to delight the customer amazing. My mates don't.... they stopped travelling years ago and now cherry pick the home meetings as well. Yes I'm a "pay at the gate Dinosaur"who doesn't care for the new trend of needing a 'blue card' to get two quid off at Edinburgh, a mobile phone App to go to a Cardiff GP or to get caught full price for an old programme with an insert! What's next.... a centre green presenter with a monkey???? Now that would give me a hissy fit2 points

But a bug bear , for a lot of people is drawn out meetings. Now, you could have a 15-20 minute interval after heat 10 or 12, a 5-10 minute gap for the nominated heat 15 + possible track grade then another 5+ minute gap for the same riders(probably) in heat 15 to have a tinker with their bikes while another track grade takes place.2 points

Cardiff Gps are no where near as good as they used to be....they went down hill once they moved the fanzone/entertainment from the Centre.... The 'screechy' voiced woman presenting doesn't/didnt help either....no Laguta, no Sayfutinov .....over-priced accommodation.... I wont be going this year and I wont miss it.2 points

Pretty sure Lemon means thay Etheridge is capable of starting 2022 in the main body having finished 2021 at reserve.1 point

Pay on the gate is still an option, but the first meeting is likely to be heavily supported so to ensure entry, book in advance. Any subsequent meetings should be fine to pay at the gate.1 point
-
And I've just seen I could pay an extra £2.60 refund protection in case I can't go due to illness or injury, or snow, frost, fog or storm as well as other things, no thanks I'll pay at the gate.1 point

Oh yes he did. Club CEO Mark Lemon said: “Filling these last couple of team places has had its challenges. I was prepared to wait however I can say, I’m delighted that Jye has agreed to re-join us in 2022. “He’s a quite a character in the pits and committed on track, and I’m confident he will continue to develop in Premiership competition. “I feel he is capable of moving into the main body of the team, and the fact that he has raced with the majority of the lads in previous seasons means he slots into this team composition nicely.”1 point

Seems so and the good news is Fans are now going to be allowed into the stadium. Taken off Facebook: Following discussions with the landlords, the public are allowed into the stadium on press and practice on Sunday 20th March. Doors open at 11am with riders taking to the track at 12. No indoor grandstand facilities are open but the outside terrace will be open and the catering van will be there to purchase food from. Entry is via the main fire exit gate.1 point

There's no problem with Wolves signing a British kid. They're discussing whether clubs can sign foreign assets without them riding for that club.1 point

I think its a KDL 40WD653........having looked on various forums that appears to be just too old for Google Play etc so that blocks any idea of downloading the app. I agree the technology isn't a problem to the younger generation, my point was more along the lines of the way they are promoting this you almost have to 'find' it as opposed to it being offered to you in a way many will see, its an obscure sport at the best of times. Still, that's how it is, I'm not going to jump through hoops to watch it. But thankyou for all the help and advice, I appreciate it.1 point

So you get a "Bonus Point" for losing by 6 or less to the home team BUT LOSE the "Bonus Point" if you draw! You just can not make it up. ................. but the SCB or BSP Ltd(Premiership Promoters)can. IDIOTS!1 point

So basically all the wider tracks, Redcar, Scunny, Belle Vue, Glasgow etc have the better racing!1 point

I hate to mention this, but having the stadium resembling a Derby & Joan Club night out is one of the biggest disincentives to young people returning to the sport. People tend to stick to their own generation. This is why BSF folk stand up for the oldies, because most on here are of that generation, and can't look at themselves in the mirror and see one of the causes for young people not being attracted to the sport staring back at them. Go ask some kids, where they want to be on a Friday night...down the pubs and clubs with people of their own generation or clapping hands and singing songs with the pensioners down at the local old people's home. If you want to stand a chance of making a younger generation omelette, then you are going to have to crack some older generation eggs.1 point

It’s all getting close now with the first meeting of the year less than 5 days away. Weather forecast looks good so I hope Josh gets a decent crowd.1 point

I wonder which promoter(s) thought of this idea? With only 6 teams in the Premiership, it must have taken ages to get a result(sorry no 3-3 voting, it has to be a majority vote). Even the Speedway Star has not put out this story so it must have been thought of in this last week. What result will be given if meetings are curtailed by rain & it is a draw after 10 or more heats(the result stands)? I can see this rule being moth-balled before the season starts.1 point

I just cannot see the point of this extra "super heat ". What is wrong with a draw in a League match? It has been fine since League Speedway started. Usually both teams supporters go home happy. It will just drag the match out, as most if not all the riders in the super heat, will have ridden in heat 15. So another long delay !!! The supporters dont seem keen on this, and it will cost the promoters more wages, as the riders wont be racing for nothing in this race. So why bring it in?1 point
-
There were four 45-45 scores in the Prem in 2021 - by definition, they were drawn results. The fact that the away team is rewarded with an extra league point is probably the main reason why this new Regulation makes no sense. Why give the home team the opportunity to rob the away team of a well-earned extra point?1 point
-
Exactly, and giving the home team a point and the away team two seems a good way to settle it to me.1 point
-
Not sure if this has been mentioned but as I understand it Eddie Kennett has accepted a promotion at his work place and now cannot commit to midweek meetings. Not surprising and reasonably understandable after recent years' financial issues.1 point
-
And it's the dispicable 4-3-2-0 scoring to contrive a definite result. A draw is often a very good and fair result especially for an away side, achieved with a full 7 riders (hopefully). So now it's just down to which team has just the best top two only and the justice/joy of a hard fought draw is lost. Ridiculous to change it. Boils my p!ss.1 point

A draw no longer exists You have to now predict the result of the super heat.....0 points
