Well, just a few seasons back, Edinburgh only completed their team when they signed up Claus Vissing at P&P, after he's performed well at the BenFund meeting at Berwick the previous week -- and more recently the same club went into P&P with an open invitation to "any rider who wants to show his worth" to claim their last team spot --- and landed a 16-year-old no-one had heard of, called Dan Bewley.

It's not flat it as got some banking but all the negative chambers have now gone.

It's a shame this is a mo day but they had to change it due to what would have been some clashes with Poland with sparring. No riders announced yet but I've heard some names and it gets me really excited. It will be the best line up seen on the UK outside of a GP. Perfect way to start the year

While Vissing might be a good example,but can’t see why you mentioned Dan,Birmingham are not looking for a3 pointer ,Dan had a good season at reserve and made it into the main body.Birmingham needs a proven Heatleader from the off. iMO.

I remember the good old days before mobile phones, computers & social media when the first we knew of the seasons lineup was when we turn up for P & P day & they were sent out one by one. Now everyone wants the next seasons lineup released on November 2nd. Just relax I'm sure it will all be in place for the first meeting.

Oohhh...investigative journalism in action Wonders will never cease. I guess that any rumours that Birmingham were about to sign Artem Laguta and Emil Sayfutinov have gone up in smoke now. As for that photo of the track, is it an optical illusion or does that look like steeper camber around the inside and negative camber around the outside? Have they just built a second Rye House?

The speedway star says they are talking to 6-8 riders but are just deciding which are the best options. now I know the management have to stay and say positive things but this isn’t 1977 and your customers are not as gullible as they were back then. surely you know exactly how many riders you are talking to and as there are no other team places it’s Birmingham or nothing. Simple as that. Maybe they are awaiting visa or a sponsor license but if that’s the case why not say so !!!

Not sure about that, Peterborough beat Belle Vue last season with virtually the same team.

The number 8 is really just a pr stunt along with the Premiership junior league to make people think they're doing something to promote the up and coming riders instead of putting more effort into a proper NL, but hey....

They also charge huge amounts more in their equivalents of National Insurance that fund their "generosity"

Difficult to prove in some cases....but I think 11 and under for free is great value, but could cost us in the long run. Giving my age away here, but when I first started going, it was 5 and under that was free. I think my dad used to carry me in till I was about 10

More so than ever when your spouse has died, and in my case, I have not been able to work due to health issues since 1985, so only source of income is a very reduced state pension.

Pavel Karnas passed away 14.02.2022 after a long illness. He was a member of the Czech team for many years & has always supported his club at Pardubice. He will be greatly missed. best wishes to his family & friends.
