Shame people can't accept an apology these days without being offended.... World gets politically madder by the day!5 points

Shane Parker? Not in the same league as Bjarne. Bjarne a class act. Won a GP, solid as a rock and in his prime was a very big hitter. Yes he could gate but he could also pass with ease. Top man and hope he gets a massive turnout for his testimonial in a couple of months time. Fully deserved.4 points

There is a general, encouraging, trend in seeing more British riders staffing CL squads. Even Berwick, where they've been fairly thin on the ground, now have (at least) three this year. Whatever the reason, more home riders moving through the leagues can only be good news.....4 points

I'm so glad the Fords have a good relationship with Mark "the Undertaker" Phillips because you would be well advised not to pi££ him off. Those of us that know Mark consider him a hard working man of his word, top bloke all-round, he fully deserves any success coming Plymouth's way in '22.3 points

Good money tho, Rob should maybe do some chicken parmo's on the van on them days?2 points

Poole P&P is on 25th March at 1pm for media, invited guests, sponsors and season ticket holders. On track practice from 3.30pm.2 points

Hi Chris. Really hope you do make it up. Edinburgh are a team that have a similar tight bends & always put up a good show at Brough. But in fairness, our closest geographical rivals, Glasgow, Redcar, Berwick have ridden the track for a while now, so Im sure whatever meeting you choose will be worthwhile2 points

Middlo's testimonial March 25th line -ups confirmed: COUNTY CREST ALL-STARS: Bjarne Pedersen; Nicolai Klindt; Brady Kurtz; Josh G; Nico Covatti; Adam Ellis; Stefan Neilsen. MERIDIAN LIFTS HEROES: Chris Holder; Scott Nicholls; Bomber Harris; Danny King; Hans Andersen; Edward Kennett; Nick Morris (replacing Jack Holder). NB. Jack Holder's new visa only allows him to race Premiership meetings/tracks. Poole's 3 new Aussies will also have a series of match races during the evening. Normal prices - should be a good night.1 point

That makes the event less attractive. Places would be empty if there's meetings where the No2/No4 & No6 race. . It has to be fixed to be a pairing from the top 3 in the team averages otherwise there's just going to be no interest at all to attend.1 point

Not THAT amazing; people leave the BSF for various reasons. You yourself have done so - several times...1 point

Are you suggesting the powers that be aren’t taking the new proposed league seriously ? For the second year running ?!?!1 point

It’s no secret that a couple of clubs are struggling to find ‘ youngsters ‘ to fill places in both capacity levels, this is because of lack of new kids coming through in the last few Covid affected seasons . A few of the clubs with a more forward thinking attitude and available track times have an excess of riders and it is hoped to spread the excess to other clubs to enable all riders to get experience on MORE tracks and not, therefore, visiting the same track multiple times. However, it is down to the individual riders if they wish to join a team which is not their local club and may mean excessive travel to the club that needs them. Remember, these kids do not get paid ! All will be revealed in time.1 point

Richard Lawson is a very good speedway rider, but entertaining he is not. Not quite a gating tart but in 3 seasons think can count on 2 hands number of passes he had after 2nd bend1 point

....and becomes a full asset for Poole in a swap with Basso. Lets hope he's as much of a crowd-pleaser!1 point

It's not always possible for them. Most, if not all, of the young Aussies that have gone to Poland first have done it because they couldn't get a work visa for the UK but could get one for Poland.1 point

With the money on offer in Poland any rider with ambition will be off like a shot if they get an offer, including Young Brits.Even the Young Aussies see Poland as their first port of call these days.1 point

I think its more of..... 'the Championship has dropped to a level to suit the standard of rider' if you get my drift....1 point

With the 7th July event being 2 days before Togliatti SGP, Doyle might struggle for that one...1 point

I love Scotland...wish I could be part of it everyday...best scenery in the world. Would take me a while to learn the lingo though1 point

My post wasn't meant as a direct comparison....just promoting the positives of the Brits inclusion. It's all we have, especially with Poland killing the sport in this country IMO. Not criticising the Poles....after all, speedway is popular there most likely coz they're sh#te at football amongst other sports....(a whole new debate...) LOL1 point

But we haven't had 5 for quite a few years, so I thought it was worth a mention. And it's good to see so many British boys in all the teams...I never meant it as a competition!1 point

I am sure I read that they were doing some temp stands for this event, similar to what the NSS did a few years ago for the SWC... A crowd of 4000 or so would be similar to the NSS last year...1 point

There is about a six page article in Classic Speedway Issue 21 Summer 2013.......he chose between Speedway and a job and the Job won. He also went to Leningrad with the Aces in 19691 point

Spot on assessment mate and a rider and family who are 100% committed. Well deserved in my opinion1 point

might be as simple as the reason up to now has been time off work parent(s) would hve to take to get them to the Training and Courses a lot of which are midweek and in summer holidays. I also heard they have to stick to pretty rigid training and dietry plans and it may be that they prefer to go their own way in those off bike things. They've ridden in competitive Young Lions Select type matches so definitely seem to be on the radar. I agree Trigger does seem to be the odd one out in terms of ability and experience so far.1 point

It’s a voluntary scheme so perhaps they declined the invite? , some ‘ kids ‘ have full time jobs and simply don’t have the time to attend. There’s been some lads who have attended once and never returned , it’s personal choice, don’t read too much into it.1 point

He may as well come to the proper Gods Country, leave the train at Middlesbrough and get bus from there to cargo Fleet and walk the few yards to see a fair race track!!!!!!!!!!lol1 point

It's a "development" league, there's no reason why Muff can't develop into a better rider. Plus can't discriminate against age these days!1 point
