The Bond that all promoters have to lodge with BSPL is the way of covering all speedway debts. Riders can claim from that, but the standard rate for all riders would be a lot less that their actual own contract pay rate.

That's what grates so much, we've always been a club with a conscience, and a speedway heritage, always known for prompt payment of riders etc. Going to need some good PR, but does look positive from the noises coming from the new set up.

Recover the money from whom? The company is bust. The BSPA seize the riding assets and try to sell them (e.g. Tom Brennan to Glasgow), and an administrator will wind up any physical assets, but that's not much money to be realised, and a hell of a lot of creditors looking for a share of it.

Ipswich told him it might be best to “have a season away” Wolverhampton is not his favourite track, does not like tight technical tracks! Broc Nicol has been released. Jacob Thorsell is not an option due to the availability and cost of flights, they are not at pre-covid levels. The full team is decided, may be released end of December, beginning of January. Tai Woffinden – Peter Adams will again be helping him next year to try and regain the World Title. Expects the GP schedule to be similar to this year. Ryan Douglas currently self-isolating in a hotel in Australia for 2 weeks. Lots of friction between the Premiership and Championship clubs. Alan Grahame – Peter Adams shared his memories. Grahame was always late arriving at meetings. His funeral was scheduled for 9:00 am. Hearse arrived at 9:20. One of the main reasons for the supporters trust is distant fans. CVS constantly surprised at online orders for merchandise, recently sent stuff to New Zealand and Australia. This will be a way for these fans to support/help the club whilst not being able to attend meetings. The speedway office needs replacing, the supporters club will be able to help with the cost. Programme – will continue to use the current printers. The Wolves programme retains the “old size” whilst everyone else uses the larger size. I prefer the traditional size. Musielak, or any other Polish rider, not an option due to the influence exerted by Polish clubs. Number 8 – currently talking to a 17 old. Expect him to be No 1 for the junior side. Number 8 – no restrictions to their use, use them whenever you wish. Due to restrictions with access the track staff arrive at the stadium at 6:00 on Sunday and Monday. Highlight for CVS, new toilets in the upstairs bar. This is a major step forward. The people who leave after heat 14 are really annoying with their red brake lights causing a problem for the riders. Another 5 minutes wouldn’t hurt would it? 2 tracks were considered for additions to the PL. CVS hopeful that in a year or two, the PL could have 8/9 tracks. Peter Adams – in years to come Rory Schlein will be recognised as one of the best ever Wolves captains.

Personally think Leicester to be applauded for sticking with twins this season, particularly Dan. Seen it so often young rider gets to the "difficult average" and gets dumped back to NL or go backwards for having to find a place in a weaker side. Playing the long game that may not have a challenging side next season (IMO), but for following years the may be able to consistently if twins progress

A couple of years back,, Drew was the best new thing since sliced bread down Suffolk way. He will end up being a far better rider than Rowe. Being away from Ipswich will do him the world of good.

Blindingly obvious my a*se! When a team is assembled at the start of a season, it is with a view that riders will either up their existing average or at least maintain the one that they are on. If Bates and Proctor had delivered on the latter (as we know this went t*ts up), both twins would have remained at reserve. The twins had never raced at this level previously but finished with a combined average uplift of almost 4 points.

Let’s get a bit of perspective here, this is a press release saying….” We will be doing the same thing as we did last year, picking our own preferred ‘ youngsters ‘ and telling some other ‘ youngster ‘ your the non useable number eight for the night. We say we are going to have a junior league , same as we said last year, but we didn’t bother with it really and we may or may not bother again this year” Lets wait and see what actually comes out in the wash.

Dan is undoubtedly the best rider at the moment, but rider's progress at different rates especially when you throw injuries into the mix. Look at the Worrall's respective careers, when they first started I thought Richie was going to be the good one, but then Steve kicked on to become an almost international class rider, broke his leg, struggled to come back and now I'd say they're pretty level again.

I don’t mind seeing that in a rider though in all honesty. Ok he may have been in the wrong, but I love to see a rider with fire in his belly. That comes across in his racing as well, very determined. Kemp on the other hand for all his natural talent, can be a bit timid on track and seems to lack that killer determination. It may well come, but he was frustrating to watch at Foxhall this year where he often had speed and chances to pass, but any hint of a gap starting to close he’d immediately shut off and blow his chance.

Improving the lot of the NDL and making it easier to then move into a championship side seems more logical than this pointless announcement.

The previous company is still active but all assets and bonds have reverted back to the BSPL, we've been trying to find out the name of the administers with no luck of yet Indeed it does, the good name of the club has been dragged through the mud but we are determined to get it back for 2023. Erm, no. Like we've already said, when the company goes into administration and the administrator collects any money owed to the company, and sells off any company assets, on behalf of the creditors. Any money raised gets distributed to secured/preferential creditors first, and then unsecured creditors. The BSPL seize any speedway assets and try to sell them, with any money realised going to pay the speedway creditors.

Sorry to sound a bit negative, good ideas, but the feed of riders of the current standard will become less and less, it's living off the back of the successful national league a couple of seasons ago, if nothing's done to rectify a decent NL it's short term again, I can see the second halves being half hearted like last season.

Holding off more than usual? We're not even out of November yet, and most teams are planning to reveal the compete 1-7 already. I've never known it all sorted so early! Usually at the back end of November we're still waiting to hear the outcome of the AGM, the points limit, and who is in which league. I can even remember in the recent past when signings were being made in March in the last week before press day.

To be fair the dislike as you say is only coming from a certain few , personally I like the look of Plymouth will win most home meetings which is your bread and butter. Tidy side they have assembled.

No white lines today unfortunately... job was abandoned... rain and snow stopped play... however I popped down today before going to another call out in Durham and in the hour and a bit I was there the lads had put down 180 ton of shale... in fact the shale was going on the track that fast Steve Lawson was struggling to keep up grading it in... however knowing Steve as I do and him being a bit of a perfectionist that surface will be spot on come next March... all 1200 ton or so of it... I really hope Birmingham can come to tapes in 2022, the start up costs are large and that rent sounds pretty big too.. If they do manage it and we all hope they do, get out and support your club!

Vans are usually leased due to high mileage, hence new every year as it costs the same. Not many riders in UK even use the 2 helmets a meeting they'd need. Emil's would all be sponsored.

Just didn't happen for Drew at Ipswich, I think there were other factors, but on his night he can be decent. but to many off nights. Hope it works out for him at Wolves.

It really is almost impossible to compare, lets take just 2 riders who i had the pleasure of watching during there entire career both cut short for varying reasons; Penhall and Gunderson by whatever yardstick you may use they were both great riders. Firstly Penhall in my humble opinion a better all round racer than Gundersen, however if Eric was in front in any race I rarely if ever saw anyone overtake him, take the last Wembley final yes Bruce won the Final but Eric took the Track record and didnt finish on the rostrum because if memory serves me right in possibly his easiest race he forgot to turn his fuel on and failed to score a point when just an extra point would have put him on 12 equal with Olsen and Knudsen, however thats all ifs buts and maybe`s, back to Bruce as Eric has recently said he and the Americans gave us a new style of riding away from the old upright sitting style, whereby they threw the bike around and moved around on the bikes during races, Bruce could perform on all Tracks and in all conditions be it from the front or back. Eric liked the big fast Tracks and generally would gate and go however he was known on occasion to grab a handful of throttle and take a big blast around the outside leaving the oposition in his wake. Who was the best? probably Bruce but in a match race I really couldnt say who would win.

If they stuck to the rules about paid up to date,why should they be banned if they refused to to ride.Trouble is riders don’t want to rock to boat on what their wages are.I know a couple of riders who had to ride for the same Team the next season just to make sure they got their money they were owed from the previous season.They were really held to ransom.Their own making though,no sympathy for them.

There's enough 4* & 3* RS to have 2 per team in the Prem in my view, so they could have gone with 2 per team.

GB finished more than 8 points ahead of Australia, so Brennan made no difference. He may have ride well, but it didn't help GB win.

I sort of agree with this to some extent Always difficult to judge how things would have panned out if Bruce hadn't decided to retire. Just like if Ronnie Moore hadn't had that break from the sport at his peak. I would in both cases like to think they could have taken at least another title. Possibly more so even in Penhall's case. But Ronnie had proved he could beat the best of his rivals, whereas you could say a new generation came up when Penhall left the sport. But would they have been such a success if he had stuck around ?

I think the best thing Joe can do is to change his surname... Like Mikael Karlsson, maybe it would stop all of the inevitable comparisons. People don't seem to be able to talk about Dan without mentioning Joe in the same post (I've just done it myself!). I thought Dan had a solid season, progressing from reserve to become a solid No 2 at home and should only get better in his 2nd season. Joe, a solid reserve and again should only improve in his 2nd season.

Well it appears nothing is going to be done or able to be done about Jordan which is totally wrong. We now going to have to back the new management team if we want speedway at Eastbourne to return.

so there going to be 2 changes to the line up so my guess is 1.holder 2.howarth 3.musielak 4.pickering 5.ellis 6.nielsen 7. dan thompson or dan gilkes and i would take that line up.

I agree, but what is more I would say he was the ultimate tactician, with an amazing ability to out think an opponent. My outstanding memories of him, on the rare occasions the missed the gate , was that he would sit just outside someone’s tail until the last two bends then as the opponent drifted wide to cover his run in, Hurri- Ken would suddenly switch lines and come through on the inside. I thought he was brilliant, but I was young and impressionable and didn’t see much of the other top stars on a regular basis. From What little I’ve seen of Ronnie Moore, and considering he was past his best by the time I saw him I think would have to have him in my top five or six. Its also been mentioned that the so called top 5 had to contend with each other but while we are speculating I think If Tony Rickardson had never been born we would be talking of Jason Crump in the top five. He really was ,to my mind , one of the true greats, more so than Greg Hancock.

Not quite. Scaled it based on Leicester cycle speedway. DH won world championships on 3 different tracks. Worth noting the Lions circuit has been significantly altered since then hence the much improved racing now seen at Beaumont Park

Until a major league sponsor invests enough money to take the sport forward, and insists that their investment is professionally run. It will continue to lurch from year to year. The failure to attract a major sponsor is the biggest failing of the powers that be and should be recognised as such

Happy with the 5 Norbold. As for number 6, difficult really. Craven tragically died, Penhall prematurely retired, Knutsson didn’t achieve as much as his talent deserved. On balance though I would say Olsen.

Some Poole fans on here are so happy to tell us we will be crap everywhere we go on our travels,I can’t wait till you announce your team as I will pull it apart like you have ours that’s if some not all can pull there heads out of there own arses to read it you would think you had won next years league already. I await your wonder teams 1-7 with baited breath if it’s going to be so easy why don’t you go into the big boys league and try and win that.,and let some of the rest of the minnows win something.it must be hell of a boring battering teams every week wouldn’t you prefer close racing and meetings which could go either way.or is it the Poole way just win at all costs.

Agree with the last bit in brackets. Spending lots of money on all new stuff every year is completely unnecessary. A new van every year is also unnecessary. There are so many costs to clubs and riders that can be cut. A 10mm bolt will last for years but many will have all new every year because they're shinier - totally unnecessary. Four helmets a meeting in each colour, totally unnecessary - did anyone see how many Emil S had accumulated?

I'd like to be as good on a bike as 2 awkward former world champions! Probably a lot down to riders of this type along with Harris generally not being great gaters and having to ride slightly raggadly. The likes of Greg Hancock normally were gate and go on really fast bikes, so could look smooth out in front on their own.
