Thanks Cerro I would like to say what a credit not only to Glasgow Speedway but to the sport the Tigers fan are.7 points

What a night , congratulations to Poole, far too strong for us, fully deserved to win the championship, loved the lights in the stand and the singing of sweet caroline and yes us Glasgow fans joined in. Found the Poole supporters very gracious to us in our defeat, we enjoyed some celebrations in the bar afterwards, Poole fans are the second best fans in the league after us7 points

As a Monarchs fan who used to go to Glasgow in the Blantyre days the Tigers have come a long way. Am I jealous ? No. A bit envious of the facilities and get a bit annoyed when the ‘new’ Tigers fans come visiting and slag off Armadale. Most clubs are run by people for love of sport and in rented facilities so can’t be like Ashfield. On the other hand Monarchs presentation from Liam and John is one of the best. We tracked 3 teams this year; Monarchs, Devils and West Lothian Wildcats. David is doing a great job with the academy kids too. We streamed our matches as well. Astounded Poole didn’t for the final.6 points

Well that’s me just in the door, time for bed! Congrats to Poole once again6 points

Well, if you are just going to make up where the line goes, you can probably make a good case for yourself...Shame the actual white line is visible between the spokes5 points

British Speedway simply can't afford the kind of figures required to compete. Poland & Sweden means one set of bikes that can be driven between the two, Poland and UK means two sets of bikes and thats without all the other odds and ends. It would take Belle Vue approx £40-50k at the start of the season just to be on level terms with Sweden and thats before points money, sponsorship, opposition, travelling etc. No clubs should be breaking the bank to keep riders, the UK has to accept that its a training ground now for the other continental leagues and retirement home for the sports aging stars.4 points

More competitive in the Championship I would say and definitely harder to win trophies and more teams! So I would say to stay in the Championship. I don't mind the Premiership but would need to be 10 teams for me to say I want Poole to go back up there.3 points

I take your point and it's very Newcastle 2021 however given the known difficulties about promoting speedway at Perry Barr then to run in the championship with a poor side must be considered as a pathway to losing money. Anyone who proceeds on that basis is brave in the extreme in my opinion3 points

One assumes he will base himself in Poland now in which case there are umpteen reasons to race in Sweden and not the UK. Its a shame but more a reflection of the state of things over here than anything else, and it will continue to happen unless the BSPL seriously pulls its socks up.3 points

He has been loyal to you since 2016. The lad deserves the break and to progress his career as far as possible. Imagine you were working in an organisation who's business plan was running that organisation to the point of bankruptcy while paying you less than you could earn elsewhere and also restricting your development because you weren't working with the best in the industry. If the opportunity came up for you to move somewhere that were forward thinking, paying better wages while also offering more development would you stay under some misguided sense of loyalty? I wish Dan all the best hopefully he'll be back one day but that is really down to the BSPL to sort the mess out.3 points

We at Plymouth always run on a Friday in the national league but when we moved up were told no way can you run Fridays if oxford are allowed for me it stinks you can’t have one rule for one and different for another.3 points

Congratulations to Poole I'm made up for Danny (King that is ) - great to see him as a winner - you deserve it fella3 points

I’m hoping that they’ve finally realised that the points limit this season was ridiculously low and, even though Bickley will be one of the league’s top riders, there won’t be an influx of newbies for him to lap! Let’s be honest, there isn’t a host of 3.00 riders to flood the league at reserve this coming season anyway!3 points

Wasn't trying to "impress" anyone. I was only saying what I knew to be true. As far as teams/leagues for 2022 I really couldn't give a flying $hite. I had never been to a speedway meeting until Dan started racing, then again I had never been to a MX meeting until young Bewley started riding KTM autos when he was six yrs old. There really are some bitter individuals who think if they don't know something nobody else could possibly know.3 points

Overall quality in the Championship is lower than the Premiership, but they’re not miles apart. I hope Poole stay. I certainly wouldn’t be keen on Glasgow going up. It’s nice having more teams to face off against. On Glasgow, a lot of people get fixated on the amount of money the Facennas have spent to “buy the trophy”. I’m sure they would dearly love to win it - why wouldn’t they? - it they aren’t spending money just to win it. They want to invest in the area. They want to expand attract new supporters. And they want a stadium/racetrack that can host meetings outside of the domestic league and individual championships - as having two Test matches and the Speedway GP qualifiers shows. I’m sure that’s a more complex mix of wanting to do a great job, forge a reputation for high standards, wanting to achieve success and have the satisfaction of having a local speedway team to watch. All good things.2 points

Again, as clear as day... Hardly anyone cares who wins any Speedway title in the UK due to the ludicrous way it can be attained.. Yet promoters will try and out do each other in all sorts of ways in a desperate bid to win one... Rather than focusing on how to make their competitions credible and actually worth winning in the eyes of the many who no longer go but still follow the sport closely,... And also focusing on how to ensure all have a decent crack at winning one of those titles... Say 18 teams come to the table next season... It would be far better for the sport to have all 18 running in front 500 punters extra each meeting, due to racing on the best night for each track to get their best crowd in, and the entertainment and closeness of the racing on view, as that would grow the sport by 9000 punters each week... No matter which individual clubs win either title they could never hope to grow their crowds by 9,000 on any week, and it would be very doubtful if they could grow their crowds by 9,000 over the whole year....2 points

Would have thought Tom Brennan top of the Tigers list for next season. A great prospect on a good average.2 points

Absolutely, we'll have Tom Wooley on an 11 point average and reserves who can't even slide a bike. And Mildenhall complaining they can't pay their accross the board £5 a point on a crowd of 50 people. But what do we know...2 points

The limit in every league should always be 42 by default, unless they have a reason to change it, such as wanting to weaken it, as in the case of the NL. By knocking it down to 36(?) They have achieved this, but to retain the league at that standard it needs to go back to 42 the following season. If they keep it at 36 for several seasons, they are weakening it further every year til it gets to the point where teams will be full of woblers. Then they'll wonder why people won't pay £12 to watch stand alone meetings anymore.2 points

Given the Facenna family's obvious ambition to win after all that they've invested, and failing yet again to achieve their first league trophy for a decade, could a replacement for Cami Brown be their most significant signing for 2022?2 points

Indeed. If Birmingham are going to run then they need to try and get a deal done with Scott Nicholls pronto. He will be in demand2 points

Thanks Cookiefan it was lovely to see you and the Tigers fans who made their voices heard you all are a credit to the sport.2 points

Sad comment,at least the Tigers pay their riders( whatever the cost) a lot of Teams (including your own )never paid what they negotiated with their riders.Good set up at Glasgow and a lot of jealousy from some quarters.2 points

I'm sure I read Poles are launching an U23 League next year and Clubs are allowed a few Foreign riders each. Not hard to see the cream of UK under 23 crop being over there most weekends with huge earning potential comparing to UK.2 points

I can understand a young rider wanting to improve and earn good money but I disappointed but unsurprised that Bewley has deserted BV and British speedway. His decision and many other top riders who have left the UK shows how far British speedway has gone downhill. The sport is in a pathetic bankrupt state run by a useless bunch. I can see why he prefers Poland for the big money BUT Sweden NO! BV signed him back in 2015 and gave him the chance in the sport and the BV fans supported him when he had his big crash and I would have expected some loyalty.2 points
