  1. Hoping Boro but Wolves to bed at home. Absolutely hate Monmore, don't want to see this crap track in the final

  2. Crowd are on their feet says Tatum - unless they're in the restaurant/bar what else can they do at Wolves?

  3. Hi This goes out to everyone who expressed a wish to save the club prior to Rob rising like a phoenix and changing his mind to stay... There will be a meeting next Tuesday @ 19:30 hours (7:30 PM) 5th October at the South Gosforth Sports & Social Club Laburnum Cottage, Percy Terrace, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 1RS. This meeting will look at the appetite to set up a Trust; with supporting funds; to look at sustaining Speedway in Newcastle. There will be a full and frank discussion following on from the offers of support for the club from individual fans and businesses and to debate the merits on proposals that ensure the club does not end up in the same precarious position we have faced over the last few weeks of the season. This will possibly be the only opportunity we have to get together and look at proposals for sustaining the sport and keeping the momentum going on the back of all the goodwill following the near closure of the club... There are no silly ideas and all proposals will be given an airing and hopefully we can bring something positive out of this get together... All are welcome and this includes any representatives of businesses who expressed an interest in the original proposal of a fan based buy out... please come along hear what is said and lets see if we can pull something positive together... There will also be a post notifying people on Facebook and Twitter of this meeting Look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible Regards John

  6. Why do they keep saying MPT's injury has benefited Peterborough. Two blanks from his first 2 rides,a fit Mpt would have scored more from his programmed rides tonight.

  7. Pedersen at reserve in October.Ulrich 2nd in your averages behind Toft. You can see why Andersen and Harris had tactical E/Fs against Lynn now.Because Ulrich would most probably have been 4th in your averages as Andersen is only .04 and Harris ,07 behind him. Rob Lyon tactical genius

  8. Personally I think the first thing speedway needs to address are user friendly bikes. Bikes that riders can control on less than perfect surfaces, tyres that work on a wet surface, once you get the confidence in the paying public that a meeting will run to the end they may start to come back. As it is, the first sign of drizzle and everyone wants to give up! Unless it was monsoon conditions, I don't recall the issues we have now back in the day, and that was before dirt deflectors. Once the fans start coming back, then you can think about being more professional. Clubs need to be sustainable from the off and I think that starts with riders wages and equipment costs. Get back to basics and then move forward.

  9. Agreed! It's called 'cheating' imo.... Set the bike up to reach the first turn (first). Who would want to watch that every week ? I'm a neutral for this match but I think it would be a fitting tribute to the late Danny Ayres if Scunthorpe could go all the way!

  10. And it wasn't just full at Wrocław. This was at Ostrów whose capacity is 12,000 earlier in the day - rammed to the gunnels and an absolutely electric atmosphere.

  11. What's the saving riding In Championship compared to Premiership, apart from Bewley, Kurtz & Holder it's the same riders! Plus you're not getting the tv money.

  12. Looking at the new averages it is just as well Harris and Andersen had poor performances v Sheffield and then engine failures when well placed v King’s Lynn! Anyone might have thought it had been planned!

  13. I will take that. Well done boys you dug in well. Hopefully MPT will be OK for next Monday.

  20. This Panthers side reminds me of Gorzow's team in 2012. They had Gollob, Zagar, Iversen, Jepsen Jensen and Kasprazak as their top 5, they also had Zmarzlik at reserve. @racers and royals - do you agree?

  22. Cant use IRR when already using RR. They should have got a guest incase of this situation. Or at least a no8. As it happens MPT is carrying on so all is well

  25. Think Lublin will be happy the way”their” Team performed given the injury to Laguta.Polish supporters support “their” team and associate with them.In GB it’s just anybody we can find to ride for us system.Just a joke sport here on who are Champions and Cup winners. It means so much more in Poland.

  26. There are many reasons why speedway is struggling in Brum. The size of the city is no guarantee of support. Pick up the stadium and plonk it in the middle of Dudley and it'd be packed out for every match.

  39. Yes that is shameful. Terrible customer service. they may do that in football but Speedway should look after it's fans better than that Proper parades/intros - proper celebration laps from riders after every race - proper team laps after the meeting has ended, on their bikes with team flags without helmets NOT being taken round on the back of an old van!

  44. I used to live on the flightpath for Heathrow airport & back in the day we used to witness Concorde fly over twice each day. The local people that had been there years would look up & see the big dart shaped plane & say "Must be 11:00 there's Big Nose" whilst new people would complain about the noise. There was one woman that sent a complaint to the council about the noise that she encountered each day when Concorde flew over saying it was unbearable for the 2 or 3 minutes that she could hear the supersonic jet fly over. The councils reply was that she should close her windows for a few minutes each day to reduce the noise level in her house.
